Great way to get introduced to Columbian food. The food does take some time to be served but this is because it is being cooked freshly in the back. I'd rather sacrifice wait time over quality to get an authentic Columbian cuisine experience. The meat that you see in the picture was delicious. The meal was accompanied with a type of salsa that had a citrus base with a kick of spice. The fried plantains gave it an amazing sweet contrast to the already savory chicharrones and chorizos. I would highly recommend anyone to come here to try something different as Colombian cuisine is not as easily found in LA.

Why did I wait so long before trying this food truck out! I got the fried fish and loved it! So simple, yet fresh, the rice and sauce is different. I am looking forward to trying the other food. Perhaps I'll have some La Chiva for lunch tomorrow. I regret not taking a photo since I ravaged the whole thing but next time for sure! If you walk by and you wonder if you should order, don't hesitate, just do it! It'll be worth it.

Ordered the Bandeja Paisa at the workers recommendation. It came with grilled steak, pork skin, egg, sausage, corn cake, sweet plantain and avocado for $17. I was really hoping for Columbian flavors or something unique but it was just meat. The sausage tasted like a good store bought sausage, grilled steak was a very thin slice of meat with no added flavor, seasoning or marinades, and same with the fried pork skin. All were tasty but nothing I can't get anywhere else. The corn cake was hard, dry and no good at all. Sweet plantain was fine, I normally love these but this one wasn't as flavorful. Avocado was a small slice on the skin they wrapped in tin foil and you remove it from the skin yourself, which is totally fine and keeps it more fresh. Came with a salsa type sauce on the side that didn't add too much flavor. Then it was served over plain white rice. Finally, we ordered the passion fruit smoothie and it was so super sweet I didn't like it, bf enjoyed it though. Maybe ask for less sweet if you can? So overall quite disappointing since nothing was interesting or unique. Oh and prices are not listed in the truck so check my posted photos for prices or ask for the paper menu when you're there. I gave it a 4 for meat quality but overall wouldn't go again.

I had a bandeja Paisa, oh man it was so tasty! The food flavor was very traditional and didn't have excess of oil. The guy is very nice, looking forward to go back and try more dishes. I forgot to take a photo of my dish, I eat it all :)
