Why the Low Scores? A Hidden Gem Revealed!I recently visited Casa del Cocinero and honestly, I can't understand the low scores. While I know they've had service issues in the past, things have truly turned around. The interior has been remodeled and now has a trendy feel with multiple monitors and what seems to be an adequate staffing level. I even noticed a stage set up, probably for karaoke - how fun!Now, let's talk about the food. I know what I love: the chips and red salsa are always on point, and the **carne en su jugo** is absolutely delicious. I'm a creature of habit, so I tend to stick to what I know, but I'm sure their other dishes are just as great. Casa del Cocinero has made some serious improvements, and I think it's time they got the love they deserve. If you haven't been there recently, give it a try and support this fantastic local spot.

I've been here many times and it never disappoints. Next time you're in the area, stop by for some great Mexican food.

Food is pretty amazing and authentic! In the weekends they serve their menudo and posole with handmade tortillas. They have a dish called " Molcajete " it's a heated in the oven lava rock bowl with layers of salsa, melted cheese, chorizo, carne asada, grilled chicken ( choice of shrimp) with grilled cactus. Side of rice and beans, handmade tortillas. You need to try La Casa Del Cocinero and I'm sure you'll find 1,2,3 or 10 dishes on the menu you'll enjoy and find delicious. Oh and they have a full bar!

This is the best Mexican restaurant in La Mirada and surrounding areas. The food is made fresh to order. They make their own chorizo. They have hand made tortillas. Everything I ate was impressive and just kept getting better and better. Service is outstanding. The staff is friendly and had a good attitude. The bar is really sheik and makes it perfect to sit and order refreshing cocktails. It's nicely decorated. I will definitely be back.

This is one of our go to spot for decent Mexican food. The restaurant is usually bustling and festive with a great bar and drinks surrounded with TV monitors displaying sporting games. The severs are very good, attentive, and always making sure all our needs are met. This was no difference tonight, we had an exceptional waitress.The food here is good, it's authentic, flavorful, and most dishes we've tried are very good. Overall, It's usually a very pleasant dinning experience and we're regulars and have brought family and friends.

The chili verde CASA BURRITO was delicious and HUGE ( triple take home meal ) I was truly loving and totally at good surprise was the house salad with their bomb homemade cilantro dressing and was not your typical house salad, it had the shredded lettuce and also cucumber, tomato, avocado ( all sliced) and the shredded Monterey Jack cheese , crazy delicious salad and I'm not a big salad guy but crazy enough that salad will bring back and to try other menu items

Great food, excellent service. The Puerco en Chili Verde is must try and the bar never disappoints.The staff succeeds in making it's guests' dining an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Food was so goood!!! And amazing service. The best salsas I have ever had in my life!! And the best quesadilla. I might go everyday to this place it's that good! And ambiance is amazing as well. Great music and clean and very pretty space.
