A truly authentic Korean-style sashimi restaurant! The live fish is caught and sliced right in front of you, so you can trust the freshness. One of the key features of a Korean sashimi restaurant is the unbelievably generous amount of complimentary side dishes. This place is no exception--they serve tempura, corn cheese, various side dishes, and even a spicy fish stew at the end to complete the meal. The value for money is amazing! If you love seafood, I highly recommend checking it out at least once.

Have you tried Korean Sashimi?! At Kuni in Buena Park, CA, I had my first taste--and WOW, it's more than just sashimi, it's an epic seafood feast! For $140, the set for 2 easily feeds 3. My hubby and I were already full after devouring a massive platter of fresh halibut, salmon, tuna (various cuts!), oysters, and octopus. But that was just the beginning! They served amazing sides like steamed egg, abalone porridge, corn cheese, kimchi, and more. Just as we were ready to wrap it up, the waitress hit us with, "There's a ROUND 2!" Cue "eight more dishes" plus a comforting hot fish spicy stew. It has fun city themed vibes. Overall great time with food and atmosphere. If you're a seafood lover, this spot is a MUST. Kuni in Buena Park, CA--run, don't walk! Visual Review: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DELofARSFfW/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==

No wait on a Thursday night for 4 people. We ordered the medium sashimi platter that came with a ton of sides, tuna sashimi and uni pasta. Everything was delicious and the variety made us feel like we were at a buffet. The staff is so friendly and sweet here.

I don't think i've ever been so full from sashimi! Kuni sashimi is literally a whole experience. I was genuinely impressed by the quality of the fish. I'm usually not the biggest fan of yellowtail but this one just melted in my mouth. Not a single piece of fish that I didn't enjoyNot only do you get a beautiful plate of SUPER FRESH seafood, the set also comes with over 20 yummy side dishes. There was corn cheese, raw marinated shrimp, oysters, tempura, and so many more!! what i ordered: * assorted sashimi combo- small $139.99 (i think this is enough for like 3 people)

This spot is known for their assorted Korean-style sashimi that comes with fresh slices of toro, salmon, tuna, yellowtail, halibut, and octopus. They're also known for offering so many side dishes! Your first round comes with sides like corn cheese, steamed egg, and fresh oysters. After you get your sashimi, you get your second round of sides like tempura, tacos, and takoyaki. And just when you thought there couldn't be anymore food, you finally reach the last dish: spicy fish soup. You'll definitely leave satisfied and full!

An absolute gem in Buena Park, Kuni Sashimi House is a Korean classic in the sense that you order a plate of halibut or assorted sashimi, and you get something like a four-course meal. The meal starts with abalone porridge to prepare your stomach and an array of seafood and non-seafood banchan (side dishes). My favorite are the takowasa, cheese corn, and the fluffiest steamed egg. Soon after, the sashimi arrives on a plate of ice with lettuce, garlic, peppers, and sauces (feel free to try making lettuce wraps)! When you're close to done, the second round of banchan comes out. This time there's takoyaki, salmon yubu/inari, scallion pancake, and tempura among others. When you can't eat another fried item, the spicy fish soup arrives with nurungji (scorched rice in hot water). The spicy soup pushes down the grease and the nurungi attempts to heal all the damage that's been done. While it's not a meal I can enjoy (or afford) weekly, I've been a regular at Kuni for the past three years and I'm sure I'll continue to be one.

Kuni holds the reputation as the best Hwe Jib (korean style raw fish) in Buena Park. It was packed so reservations are a must. Starters and sides were plentiful. The assorted plate fish was fresh. When we asked whether the San Nakji was fresh, she answered it's alive...but actually the squid did not squirm much and was easy to grab from the dish. You can BYOB with corkage fee for that varies by liquor type.
