Just not as good as what it was. Used to come 2/3 times a month. AYCE used to be all inclusive now they have an elevated price and conditions to upgrade at a higher cost also. Not sure if they have changed management but it's just not the same and we can't justify the massive price increase

As a local and long(er) term patron of Khan's I feel it's necessary for everyone to know the scoop:Having changed management a few times over the last few years, Khan's was at a pretty good place starting about a year ago. They had a great sushi chef named Tim, who trained sous chef Tania. The restaurant offered AYCE including sushi, which was the best part. Everything other than sushi has always been mediocre at best, but Tim and Tania elevated Khan to one of the better places in OC in regards to sushi. The other offerings have always been sub par.A little over a month ago Tim, Tania and the rest of the front-of-the-house team quit because of toxic management/ownership. I recently went back to assess what has happened since. New sushi chef (Korean), new front-of-the-house. Ok. Sat at the sushi bar, place was empty. Friday lunchtime. Ok.Was offered two AYCE options, "Appetizers and Rolls Only" and "Everything except Sashimi". I opted for the latter, with the intent to sample their nigiri. Ordered some standard stuff, then I asked the chef to just keep things coming (as Tim would have done). The chef happily exclaimed, "Oh, you like Omakase!" to which I agreed. He told me people here didn't know what Omakase was, and seemed delighted to serve. Now here comes the kicker: about 2 servings into the experience, chef says, "Omakase higher price!" - I am, like, what do you mean, it's all you can eat except sashimi, and I didn't ask for sashimi. "So what are you going to charge me?" - "I don't know yet, more!" I check the menu, there is no Omakase, and finally having gone back and forth with the server they agree "to make an exception this time" and "only charge me for AYCE". Now don't get me wrong, I am happy to pay for quality but: (1) I would like to know from the get-go that this is the deal I am getting, and (2) I would like to know how much it will cost me!Fast forward, chef tells me that Omakase would get me "good quality", while basically saying the rest is "meh", which it going forward it pretty much was, a lame succession of salmon and tuna nigiri without any inspiration behind. A far cry from former chef Tim's creations. The quality of the food was perhaps 3.0/5, service was below that. The chef was condescending, the service inexperienced (the chef had to explain to them what Omakase meant). But most importantly, it appeared the problem was the greedy owner (Andy? The chef and servers referred to him several times saying they would "check with him" once he arrived) is the detriment to Khan's.AYCE once was $29.99 no matter what. Now it's $39 for appetizers and rolls only, $48 for everything but sashimi (and decent nigiri it seems, but that is not mentioned in the menu, neither is Omakase at all although the chef was happy to charge me for it).Sadly I have to say I won't return under the current circumstances, and urge everyone else to seek out better sushi and service elsewhere. The photo shows you what Khan once was like when Tim and Tania were at the helm of the sushi bar. RIP Khan's!

My husband and I tried Khan Sushi last night as part of our effort to explore all the restaurants in RSM. We ordered the AYCE dinner, which I thought was reasonably priced. Our order included the Dragon Roll, Cilantro Crunchy Roll, Jungle Tiger Roll, Fried Spicy Tuna Roll, Spicy Garlic Edamame, Poke Salad, and drinks (Coke and Diet Coke). The total, including tip, came to about $75.Service: The server was kind, polite, and attentive. However, there was only one sushi chef, so the rolls and appetizers my husband ordered were served first, while I had to wait about 30 minutes for my food. This delay was frustrating.Food: The food was decent, and the fish seemed fresh enough.Ambience: The ambience was okay, but lowering the lights and adding some music could improve the overall atmosphere. The reason for my two-star review is that shortly after we finished eating, my stomach started hurting. About 10 minutes later, my husband experienced the same. While I'm not claiming we got food poisoning, something didn't feel right. We were both completely fine before the meal, which raises concerns. I wanted to love this place but I'm not sure if we'll be back.

Was here once before with a friend and it was decent, but they seem to have trouble with time management. Tonight I ordered off Grubhub and I waited an extra 20 minutes for a pick up order. Order was made at 7:34 for a pick up window of 7:50-8pm. The restaurant had only 4 seated tables out of 9 and an empty sushi bar.... Looked like there was only one guy working so that's why I'm giving 2 stars otherwise it would be 1. Hope they can figure it out. *update* only got soy sauce which was requested, but was hoping for the regular ginger and wasabi. Next time I might as well just get food from Ralph's or Pavilions sushi area.

This review is solely for the ramen. It is worth it if you got a coupon for a discount in the mail. However, I knew was just from the location of this place that the ramen would not be that great. It is not bad for warm noodle soup in RSM if you're craving that comfort food, but don't expect Japanese quality ramen here like you could get if you drive to Irvine.

Stopped by Khan Sushi to celebrate a birthday. The all-you-can-eat (AYCE) made to order sushi, advertised at an exorbitant price of $38 for a mere 90 minutes, turned out to be a disaster. The most egregious offense was the illogical limitation of ordering only two items at a time. This restriction, coupled with excruciatingly slow service (15 minutes for a paltry four-piece nigiri order!), effectively steered patrons towards the heavily rice-laden rolls - a tactic employed to maximize profit margins, not culinary satisfaction. Here's a succinct breakdown of the restaurant's failings:1) Rancid Oil: The oil used for frying takoyaki, crab rangoons, and even sushi rolls was demonstrably old, rendering these dishes inedible due to their excessive hardness and unpleasant flavor.2) Stale Rice: The foundation of any respectable sushi experience - the rice - was a disgrace. It was demonstrably old, both stale and hard.3) Subpar Fish: The advertised "fresh" fish was, at best, average quality, offering no redeeming value for the exorbitant price.4) Lukewarm Libations: The supposed "hot" green tea was a tepid disappointment, barely warmer than tap water and devoid of flavor.5) Inattentive Service: The wait staff displayed a shocking lack of professionalism, prioritizing boisterous laughter amongst themselves at the sushi bar over tending to paying customers. The entire experience was an embarrassment. Khan Sushi is an establishment to be resolutely avoided. They have gone completely down hill since I visited over a year ago.
