This fusion Afghani Paki restaurant is one of my best finds for 2024. After craving some Afghani food, I decided to give this restaurant a try. We ordered their Chapli kebab. Their Kebab was delicious and juicy, it came with a generous portion of spiced basmati rice. We also order their delicious Kabli Palao. This considered to the national dish of Afghanistan. This was so good, the lamb shank was juicy and tender. The rice also was cooked to perfection. Their service was great and the restaurant has several tables inside and few outdoor seating options. Would definitely come here again to try their other dishes.

Great family run restaurant.Service is great.Try the meat plates with the authentic rice, you won't be disappointed with the taste, price, and serving size! I'm not sure what an Aush is supposed to taste like but this was a very good mint & dill type soup with noodles. The Karahi was fine but could have been more seasoned.Overall, glad I tried this place and if you are in the area I recommend it!

Kebab Kurry Express presents itself as a modest, casual eatery offering a fusion of Afghan and Indian cuisine. The space is undeniably intimate, yet the culinary experience falls short of expectations.The Chicken Tikka Masala ($17) was a serviceable, if unremarkable, dish. The chicken was notably dry, and the tomato-based sauce lacked depth. Accompanied by plain basmati rice, it offered little in the way of culinary excitement.The Combo Kebab ($24) proved to be a mixed bag. While the chicken kebabs were succulent and imbued with robust flavor, the lamb was disappointingly bland. The accompanying yogurt sauce and plain greens provided a refreshing counterpoint, but ultimately, the dish failed to justify its price point.Sadly, the overall experience was marred by exorbitant prices. Having sampled far superior Indian cuisine in Santa Ana at significantly lower costs, it's difficult to justify a return visit to Kebab Kurry Express. While the restaurant's HALAL offerings may appeal to some, the quality of the food does not warrant the premium price point.

I had never had a chapli kabob before coming here - it is SOOOOO GOOD. I'm so glad I found this place, Afghan food is amazing!

Beautiful art on the walls, cute and cozy place. Service was great. We meet the owner and he was very friendly and explained to us about the culture and food very well. The food was so good. The portion are huge and great for family style. We loved the Chapli kabob. Very spicy and flavorful. Parata was so yummy as well. Definitely will come back again.

Good stuff! Good food, mango lassi was okay nothing to write home about. Service was good.
