Kala Truck

Kala Truck was absolutely delicious. I literally went back to the truck 3 times to get food for various members of our team. They have various healthy options that are very flavorful. Everyone absolutely loved the food and the folks working on the truck were friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend them for catering and if you see them around you should definitely try their food.

The Kala Truck has reliably delicious Mexican-inspired food options in north OC (which, outside of Santa Ana and Anaheim, are really hard to find). Literally everything on their menu is filling, super tasty, and the portions are quite generous. Their quesadillas and burritos (Cali burrito is my favorite) are just as good as anything you'd get in LA. I came across their food via my work which regularly needs food vendors for special events, and the Kala Truck is now known as a surefire crowd-pleaser. If they ever open a storefront, I'd be a regular customer.

OMG!!! Standing at a school event and could smell the garlic fries. Walked over to discover the California burrito. Comes with Garlic fries. The order came out like 4 minutes after I paid. I got the Carnitas and it was so juicy and delicious the secret sauce added some zing, and the guacamole was perfect. I then needed up recommending it to friends and probably sold them 5 more. Honestly the best burrito I've ever had. GET ONE IF YOU SEE THEM!!!

Really good food! Their burritos are bursting with flavor. You can't go wrong with anything they serve.

I usually don't like ordering from food trucks during events because they're so overpriced for the amount of food, but I was surprised/satisfied this one was pretty reasonable for the portions. The California Burrito ($13.99) was pretty good and filling. It has fries and avocado inside. Beef was kind of dry. I probably should had chosen pork instead.Two tacos were $10.99. Overall, it was way better than other Mexican food trucks I've tried before that was like $20 rip off for 3 small tacos.

I had a chance to try out Kala Truck when they were at the Anaheim Convention Center after being referred to them by my partner. From the menu, it looked like they had good variety of different items available. I ultimately decided to get the Surf and Turf bowl that I would share with my partner! The service was quick and easy, just like how a food truck should be. At the same time, the little interaction at the window to order was a pleasure because they had a great smile and attitude! After getting our order, I was excited to see what the hype was about from my partner who recommended me. After just 1 bite, I could tell Kala Truck was the real deal! The flavors and textures of the beans and rice with the veggies and asada and shrimp, with the melty cheese and distinct chimichurri sauce came together perfectly! The portions were generous and filling, as my partner and I were able to share one order.Definitely had a great experience eating at Kala Truck! If I had a chance to try them again, I'd definitely do it.

First time trying this food truck outside the Honda Center before an Anaheim Ducks versus Carolina Hurricanes hockey game. I ordered the protein bowl with carne asada which comes with pico de halló, Spanish rice, and pinto beans. I added guacamole for $2. The water at $5 was overpriced. Great portions, decent flavor, well-cooked non-fatty carne asada. Some crisp chips and medium salsa included. Very satisfying. The staff was friendly and quick.

After spending a few hours wandering around Wonder-Con, my stomach and I were ready to browse the selection of food trucks that were available.I walked down the row of selections and settled on Kala, after looking over the menu and hearing someone suggest that the protein bowl was tasty. I ended up getting the loaded fries with al pastor chicken and added beans & guac. It did NOT disappoint.The chicken was so tender and flavorful, the toppings were plentiful and fresh and the fries were still crisp beneath them; you can just tell they put a lot of love into their food. I'm now an advocate for al pastor chicken being served everywhere.I also loved the tangy chipotle sauce that was drizzled on top, it served as a nice compliment to everything and tied the flavors together. Definitely make sure to splurge on the extra $1.50 to add guac, it's delicious and very necessary. (The beans are an optional pro move but I highly recommend you opt for them as well.)It was a satisfying and hearty meal, but so good that I was still tempted to buy another one after I was finished. I really hope I can catch Kala again sometime when I'm in Anaheim. I'd love to give their carnitas a try along with their other menu items after my stellar experience at Wonder-Con. Our daughter has been at our church's VBS this week and Kala Truck is her option for dinner. This is what Kala Truck served her for dinner, a cold hotdog and fries as she is Gluten Free. Sad they offer gf, but didn't have the respect for the kids to provide a gf bun. Hopefully they take more pride in the quality of the rest of their menu.

We hired The Kala Truck for our building's annual Christmas party this year and it was amazing! The food was fresh and delicious. The service was superb. The truck came on time and Hector communicated with us throughout the event. We had Protein Bowls, Vegan Bowls, The Cali Burrito and The Cuban Sandwich as our menu. It was amazing that there were four protein options. Everyone commented on how the portions were so generous and the high quality of the ingredients. It was the best food truck experience we've had in a long time!!Thank you Kala Truck for helping to make our event so successful!I would recommend them to everyone!!
