Everything I ate was delicious!The spicy katau is spicy but flavorful.The Beef Bulgolgi bowl was a big serving and very delicious and filling.Service was swift and friendly.

The shop is small the decor is simple and clean like a classic mom and pop shop. Probably seats about 20 people.The katsu is really good, especially the pork katsu the spicy pork katsu has just the right amount of heat. The meat is tender and the breading is crisp. It comes with some pickled vegetables a small dolap of rice and some cabbage salad with a thousand island type dressing.I've had it with the curry also but it's more of a Korean curry and not a Japanese curry so not really my thing. I've also had the soba which is a buckwheat soba. It was a little too wet so the sauce couldn't cling to it.Overall I think the the katsu is top notch but the combo offerings I usually pass on.

Amazing food! It's a small gem in a plaza that cranks out many orders. For good reason. The menu is simple, and it's good. I ordered the pork and chicken katsu And cold noodles. The banchan were flavorful. Service is fast. So is the ambiance. Worthy of being in the rotation

I used it primarily for the banchan.Saladwas cold and crisp and came with corn, tomatoes, purple + green cabbage. The dressing was less mayo-y than other places and leaned a little more tangy. I got checked on and I complimented the lady on her banchans and she even told me how to make her radish one lol I told her no, I want hers hahaI had half a donut before this meal, ate about 1/3 this dish and was still full.They have a combo that comes with soba for $25 or so! But that's too much food for one person.Also have pizza donkatsu, curry, etc...I'll try and come back once a every two mint?? so I don't get a heart attack hahah

It was my first time trying this place after a friend recommended it. I came with a group, and the service was great our food came out fast. I ordered the spicy pork katsu for $15.50, and the sauce had just the right amount of spice. I really enjoyed it, and the portion was very fair. My friends ordered the curry katsu and the combination plate, which includes donkatsu with either soba or udon. By the end, we were all full, and the prices were reasonable! I also checked in on Yelp for a free soda!

My go-to takeout spot for their soba donkatsu combo! Their bento boxes always come neatly packed with perfect portions. Located in a Korean market plaza with decent parking, though it gets busy. Staff is always friendly! Cozy vibe inside.

Food is ok.. notnworth the price tho. But my kid loves it ! He always gets the cheese donkatsu

I've been wanting to try this place but wasn't sure. When we entered, there were three tables filled with used dishes and only one worker so I was a little bit nervous. However, she was very friendly and we ordered and then she cleaned up all the tables and suddenly, it felt like it was going to be a good experience.I ordered spicy pork Katsu and I really thought the Katsu was nice. It was crunchy on the exterior and moist on the interior and did not have a lot of fat or gristle or anything so I was very pleased with the Katsu. Plus, it was a pretty decent large size. However , the "spicy curry" was on the side and really tasted more of like a hot barbecue sauce kind of thing. I was pretty disappointed, but not because it didn't taste good but just because it wasn't what I was craving. However, my wife ordered a curry rice bowl and the curry was filled with vegetables and tasted very good. Overall very enjoyable. But not like what you'd find in a traditional Japanese curry or Katsu place

This is another awesome spot in Buena Park. I ordered the combo with the donkatsu and udon. I was blown away at how big the portions are. I clearly ordered more than I can eat. The bowl of udon was big enough to be a full meal. The soup was really good. It was clear and very clean. I felt like I was eating something healthy. The vegetables in the udon were also really good and fresh. The donkatsu was excellent. The pork was tender and juicy. The batter was light and crispy. And it was huge!Last, the banchan was really good. The one side that stood out was the sliced apple kim chi. Sweet and spicy. My mind was blown!Looking forward to coming back.

I have been wanting to come here for so long and am happy to say JoonKatsu did not disappoint! I loved their menu options, seems they had options I don't typically see everywhere like sweet potato cheese katsu! Which was divine and am very happy I ordered it. Along with the sweet potato cheese katsu, I ordered the hamburg steak. I was so pleased with it, I've never had a better Hamburg steak, so if that's your thing JoonKatsu is the place to go!The employees here are super friendly so the service is great. There's plenty of space and it's located right where a bunch of shops are so if you wanted to get boba right after it's convenient.
