My husband and I have been meaning to try this spot for a while, and today we finally got the chance. We ordered the 4 Piece Jumbo Tenders Meal and the Buffalo Chix Fries to share. With the 4 Piece Jumbo Tenders Meal you get to choose 3 sauces, and they have a variety of options. We chose the Jaxon's Cajun, Bacon Ranch, and Reaper BBQ (spicy). All of our food was fresh and very delicious! The chicken was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The chicken fries and tenders meal had generous portions and left us feeling satisfied. My husband ordered their Maid Marion beer while I had a lemonade. Both drinks were delicious! The staff was very friendly and helpful with quick service. The restaurant itself had a nice atmosphere with good music and TVs in the background. It was also clean with plenty of places to sit both indoors and outdoors. The tenders here are substantial in comparison to Dave's and other tender places. You rarely see tenders as thick and juicy as these. Another selling point are the number of different dipping sauces they have here.This isn't Nashville chicken, so don't expect it to have that chili sugar oil rub you would get with Nashville. Instead they use a dry spice rub that is accurate to what you order each and every time.My go-to lately has been the mac n cheese bowl where they give you two cut up tenders on top of a bowl of freshly boiled macaroni pasta. The cheese sauce is creamy good and there's melted cheese mixed in for some cheese pull. You get to choose the amount of spice on your chicken and also get to pick a sauce that I like to drizzle on top of the bowl.The service is always friendly and they have a customer program where you earn points towards discounted food.Always a good time here at Jaxon's.

Service is fast and friendly and it's a great place to watch some sports or relax with some friends. The tenders here are also huge! I thought 4 tenders was not going to be enough but they are jumbo sized and juicy. They also have many dipping sauces to choose from. My favorites so far are the ghost pepper bbq and bacon ranch. I'd definitely recommend!

This is my second time driving all the way from Long Beach just to get this Mac and cheese bowl with spicy chicken tenders, It's my all time favorite meal here and so worth the drive! The staff is incredibly friendly and I'd recommend this spot to anyone for some really good food!

YUM! The first time I came here I got chicken tenders with "delicious" spice level, which is their no spice option. The chicken tenders were very large, thick, and super juicy. I got the combo with their crinkle fries, which were perfectly crisp and tasty. I really enjoyed my lunch and couldn't wait to go back, definitely wanted to try something with heat.The second time (2 weeks later) I tried their Mac & Cheese bowl with "spicy" level spice. I liked that more than the plain, it's the perfect amount of heat for me. I *might* go up a level next time, hopefully it won't be too hot! The mac bowl is GREAT! So much ooey, gooey, flavorful mac & cheese, with loads of chopped up chicken tenders on top. This bowl is BIG and heavy, definitely a portion to be stretched into two meals.I like that they offer so many dipping sauces, at least 12! I enjoyed their honey mustard, cajun, and garlic herb parmesan. I will definitely keep this on my rotation of places for lunch. Both times I placed the order online and pick up was friendly and efficient.

Great restaurant with cool vibe and awesome service. Ordered the medium spice chicken sandwich and it came with a huge serving of fries. It's was really good. I got to pick a sauce for dipping, so I got the OG. Yummy!

One of the best chicken tenders I've had, and the bacon ranch is bussin', no cap. Careful with that first bite though...the tenders are so hot and juicy that I burned myself when scalding liquid squirted out! Worth the pain though...so good.

Food Quality:Billy Ray's Mac n Cheese BowlLet me put you on to some of this mac n cheese. I been coming here for years and they always hit their mac n cheese so spot on! You get to pick your chicken spice and sauce as well. The mac n cheese itself is sooo flavorful and it just savors with every bite. Only thing I wished is that they included more because I eat this so fast. Their chicken is also very tender and pairs well with the mac n cheese. I got the spiciest level and it has a nice kick to it!(5/5)Service:The lady who took my order was very kind! She greeted me as soon as I walked in and was able to bring out my order in about 10 minutes. (5/5)Ambiance:This spot is pretty nice if you wanted to sit down and grab a bite for lunch. After I told my friend about Jaxon's Chicken a while back, he had been craving it. To my satisfaction, we both loved their delicious food. When we arrived, the cashier kindly took our order and even made time to make small talk with us individually. After a long day at work, I appreciated her welcoming and quality customer service. I remember that when I came here for the first time in the spring of 2023, the cashier also kindly took my order. In this review, I want commend Jaxon's Chicken staff for all the work they do for their customers.I ordered the 3 Tenders Meal ($14.99) which came with 3 large chicken tenders (3/4 lbs), crinkle fries, pickles, and 2 chosen dipping sauces (Cajun and Polynesian). Interestingly, you can order 66 different combinations of 2 free sauces. Theoretically if we came back 65 more times, the chicken flavors would taste differently each visit. The tenders also have different spice levels: delicious (no spice), spicy, and hot. The tenders tasted really savory, and the sauces helped balance the flavor. The crinkle fries were solid and met my expectations. As for the ambience, the indoor environment with rock music and sports playing in the background allows for fun times, good pictures, and warmth from the autumn cold. In sunny weather, the patio allows for more quiet time and conversations. Overall, because of Jaxon's generous portions, great flavors, and excellent customer service, we definitely want to come back. Side note: Apparently, the takeout box they give you has a punctured hole in a corner for ventilation. We didn't know this, so when I agreed with my friend that he ask for a new box, we cringe-laughed at ourselves when the cashier kindly told us about the puncture. Travel note: People taking transit can arrive to the Harbor-Commonwealth stop via OCTA bus route 43, just a three-minute walk away. OCTA bus route 143 arrives at the Harbor-Chapman stop, a 4-minute walk away from the restaurant. This time, we parked at the Wilshire Parking Structure at 114 E. Wilshire Ave. for free.

My boyfriend and I had been here once before, but only tried their drinks. I love the hard ciders, kombuchas, and seltzers! My boyfriend is a big German beer guy and the selections are pretty hit or miss for him (he's picky anyways), but he always finds something he can stick to. Overall love the selections they have on tap! I had some sort of lemonade seltzer that was so yummy.The chicken is AMAZING here, it's our number one spot for chicken tenders/sandwiches now. We ordered a 4pc tender to split and the tenders were HUGE. They were seasoned beautifully, considering we ordered "Hot" it wasn't as spicy as I had anticipated. If you're looking for a big kick, they have a "Reaper BBQ" that I was too chicken (no pun intended) to try. We also ordered the "Jaxon's" Sandwich, which was a large chicken patty with coleslaw and sauce. I definitely took a risk ordering this sandwich since I'm pretty picky about my coleslaw, but it was AMAZING! Food and drinks were a solid 10/10.The atmosphere was also great, great selection of music, beers, and the staff is super friendly. The lady who took our food order was super nice and we chatted her up for a bit! The bartender seems super knowledgeable about what they serve and also had some cocktail options we wanted to try. Overall, a great spot! As someone who's on a broke college student budget, this is one of those "once in awhile, but craving all the time" places!
