We often dine there because of the fantastic food and service. Jack may have something to do with that.We highly recommend the Tiramisu. The perfect balance of the Mascarpone, Espresso, and Coco is heaven. I have ordered Tiramisu from many restaurants that could be more soggy. Jack's is the best!We are always stuffed, and we take a piece home. The next day, it is PERFECT!My husband and I always sit at the bar closest to the kitchen. My husband and I are always looking for different places to eat and different ambiance to enjoy!We love Jacks at Happy Hour. The Servers are always nice and we always see friends and people that we know!I typically order a Martini and he gets the Crown Royal! They are always perfectly made!I usually order the meatballs and get the garlic bread. My husband loves the Traditional Eggplant Parm!We are always happy and pleased when we leave and we always get a great goodbye from the staff!

Ummm yummm!! We ordered in from Jack's a week or so ago just to try something different. I didn't even know where the restaurant was located other than in Dana Point. We were pleasantly surprised. My husband had the eggplant parm and I ordered the artichoke hearts. It was SOOO GOOD. Today we were walking along del Prado and saw Jack's and had to go in. What a pleasant surprise - the food was terrific, the bar looks so cozy (we'll be back for happy hour soon) and the service was to die for. Isaac and team made us feel so welcome. This will definitely become our local "go-to" restaurant. I recommend it highly!

Great happy hour. The food is great. Loved the eggplant Parmesan. The wine is well priced and a good pour. Tiramisu is delicious. Have gone back several times.

Jacks is very popular with Dana Point locals and it is a nice venue. The owner Jack is a very nice personHowever the service from the waiter we had and the food we experienced was not very good. The only three things that were good was the bread basket, the eggplant and the complimentary tiramisu. Salads were way over dressed. The fish was overcooked and almost Jerky like in texture with no sauce that came with it. EtcWith so many great choices in the area, I have no plans to go back

My friend suggested to check out this place for our hangout. Came here on a Friday night and the place was decent with few tables available. We got a corner seat by the street and it was cozy. We ordered moscow mule and another.. the drinks were good and strong.The food was not exceptional. We ordered pizza and pasta. It was ok and I had to drown my dish with pepper flakes to bring some flavor to it. The 2 stars would be for the drinks and ample parking for the restaurant.

I would like to start with the friendliest service we received while making a reservation on the phone. We request for a table for six last minute and the restaurant was very accommodating giving us a high bar style seating. Table service was excellent. Our waiter was friendly and made a note to speak about all the specials and the dinner prices. Our group ordered a wide variety of dishes from a Greek Salad to Chicago Style Pizza to a Pollo Chicken Marsala and potato Gnocchi alla Genovese ! The Greek salad was a tad overdressed but well seasoned and produce was fresh. I especially loved the pollo Marsala because the chicken was well cooked and seasoned lightly. This was the first restaurant I had that the Marsala sauce was not overly salty. It was so good. Company was good and drinks were very delicious. The bread was delicious to dip into the Marsala and gnocchi! Thank you for a great dinner!

Jack's is a charming spot with a cozy atmosphere. The lemon drop martini was a delightful surprise, and the complimentary bread was a warm welcome. The eggplant parm was a standout, perfectly cooked with a balanced flavor. Unfortunately, the chicken pizza fell short with a thin crust and lackluster toppings.

We drive passed Jack's all the time and have been wanting to try it out. We had originally made reservations to come here for dinner on NYE but saw that they only offer a limited menu selection and we really liked the options on the regular menu. So we decided to try it out on the night before NYE. Ambience is very nice here and the hostess was very friendly and welcoming. They also pay attention to special request which I appreciate as we requested booth seating and were seated at a perfect window seating booth. We ordered the grilled lamb chops with mushroom risotto and the veal picatta with a lemon butter and caper sauce and linguine. Plating was a little messy and not the prettiest but the food was good. The lamb chops had a lot of fat on them, at least the two of the four chops that I ate but the mushroom risotto was tasty. Based on all the reviews maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. I like the neighborhood vibes here so I will give it another try and maybe try their eggplant parm, pasta or happy hour. My overall rating is a 31/2 based on the ambience and service. My vote is still pending on the food quality and value.
