Henry's Bar & Grill

After going to the Garden Amp for a concert, a group of us were looking for a place to grab and drink and a bite to eat. We found this place on Yelp and so we decided to give it a try. This place is in a industrial but the wife and I like dives so we came in. Unfortunately, the owner let us know that the kitchen was closed so I went out to inform our group. We decided to have a drink anyways but when we walked in Paula met us at the door with that huge smile and said that they could offer us a limited. We quickly ordered 5 burgers and fries. BTW, the buns are made there at Henry's, that is a nice and rare move for a small dive bar, right? The beer offerings were pretty decent. I had a Blue Moon and my friends had Fuzzy... something or other. I was laughing and talking so I don't know exactly. My wife did get the Cardiff Cab Sauvignon that was pretty decent. What makes a great dive bar is the crowd and this place had a great group. The table next to us was serenading the room with both Bolero's and some great country hits. Their fun was infectious. I gave 5 cause I go here quite a lot since it a neighborhood type of hole in a wall type. Decades ago, I thought it a biker's bar and just for white folks to hangout- man, am I wrong!!! It's for everyone and one you go in, they treat you like family (without the yellowing nor shouting that is). It's a beers place but they do have others light alcohol drinks but I like the beers and the wings here. The staffs are FANTASTIC, especially Jenn. And of course the owners, both of them are wonderful. Back in 2017, when I had the courage to come in for the very 1st time, I felt at ease and welcomed and I started coming here at least 1-2X/week then when I started working then it become 3-4X/week. They recently upgraded the menu w/ daily HH and lunch special & Games days which are at a really reasonable prices...I used to go for fried or tots but their salad is so good that I switched. It's definitely a place to hangout w/ friends, great services, great beers, greats wings and good foods and lots of tv to get distract. Love this place.

This place is very small and the neighborhood community first like our bartender. Katrina is so sweet and caring. The food is fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is clean. The beer is delicious and there's lots of TVs with different sports on them. This place is a very good vibe and a great time with great Food we will definitely be back. It's our first time and we will be back again and again thank you so much Katrina for the great customer service. Thank you.!!

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet! I have been coming here since I moved to OC almost 10 years ago. It's a small little dive bar that can get really busy. What makes this place is the people. The owners are two amazing ladies!! Everyone has always been so welcoming and friendly. Even when I go and see regulars that don't know me they say hi, make conversation and are just enjoying everyone's company. The loaded potato salad is a must try. I'm also a fan of the chicken nachos. They recently added a lot of new items to the menu I'm excited to try. Sundays during football season gets really busy. They offer brunch on Sundays (I love brunch). I wish there was more seating, but I love coming here and enjoy the vibe. They also do a lot of family friendly things to check out.

Women owned and run, this little bar is in a business district. It's pretty small. There is outdoor seating under umbrellas along Stanford. It's load. But it gets load indoors with the juke box and sports. The bathroom has always been clean. The food is pretty good. The people are nice.

Great food and cold beers on tap, first time here and can't wait to return, perfect friendly entertainment FTW!

I've lived in Garden Grove since 1976 and never ate here. But a group of us decided to do lunch at Henry's and we're glad we did! Wonderful food! Everyone was happy with their order and the staff was so helpful. I'll be back for sure. Glen and Dorothy Sample

We went in on Saturday 10/7/2023 as it was my wife, aunt and cousin that joined us. We had such a great time there. Jenn was Amazing and the food (which has been updated )was 100% great. We got two pizzas, onion rings and a burger. All we're . We are definitely going back very soon and today I was telling some coworkers as I work less than one mile away about the food. If you haven't tried the updated menu it's definitely worth all the work they are putting into it. Katrina/Paula and staff are doing an amazing job. Keep it up!

Stopped here before hitting the garden amp. Delicious potato salad & blt. Real chill vibe. Im not from the area but when im around here I'll definitely stop in for lunch.
