Hank's Mexican Food

First off, how can you not like a Mexican place called Hanks!?Awesomeness!I base the cost of nachos as to whether a place is overpriced. And Hanks is not overpriced? Great food , give them a try

I ordered the green chili beef burrito combo plate. Beef was really fresh tasting. Everything tasted homemade.Homemade style American-Mexican food. Not the very best but good. Stands out amidst some of the not-so-good Mexican restaurants around here.Restaurant is appropriately named because it's definitely American-style Mexican food. You get what you'd expect. Reminded me of a hometown Texas restaurant.

I'm a bit torn on this review. Overall, I think a solid 3. I ordered the chicken burrito platter and the Hank's nachos.The service was great.The weather was great to eat outside. There are 3 or 4 tables inside.Maybe the review had my expectations higher.The chicken burrito was just shredded chicken and melted cheese. It was quite plain, but nothing was wrong. Maybe a bit soggy, not exactly sure why. The green salsa kind of saves it for me. The beans and rice were meh.The nachos with carnita were ok too. The nachos get soggy quickly. The toppings are good.To me, the food is nothing special. I would eat here because of service and atmosphere again, but I probably would try other places first.

It is small mom/pop place hidden away in the corner of Baker St and Grace Ln. On my first visit, I ordered:2 Cheese Enchiladas plate with rice and beans. You can choose from 3 different sauce: red, green or mole. I got myself red and mole.The enchiladas were so delicious and flavorful. The rice and beans. On my second visit, I ordered corned asada and chicken. It was filling and generous too. The service was fantastic and feel very welcoming. I am definetly coming back to try their crispy tacos.

A Costa Mesa favorite of kids who grew up off Baker. Stopped in here for some food before a 4pm meeting, carnitas soft taco and a shredded beef crunchy taco. The green salsa was perfect speed for me now that I am a spice wimp.13bucks for two tacos and a soda, good deal.Definitely recommend this place for anybody hanging on Baker, including all the breweries on Randolph.

I get egg prices are crazy, but why is the cheese in my burrito not melted? How did a chunk of bacon the size of two quarters get inside?

A cute little local spot that serves a decent size burrito with the BEST tortilla! Loved the homemade taste of the burrito. I can't get over how soft and delicious the tortilla is! Pricing is fair. This joint is very clean. Definitely worth the visit if you want authentic Mexican plates and burritos.

I was in the mood for a good burrito and they did not disappoint! I had a carne asada burrito and my girlfriend wanted a Cali burrito. Both were great! We added salsa verde and it amped up the flavors. Would def come back :)

Best local Mexican restaurant. So good and affordable. The lady in the front was very sweet. Highly recommend
