Yo! Been wanting to check this place out but stuck at home with no car. That's where GrubHub came to the rescue! Ordered Meat Jun w/cucumber kimchi & japchae noodle for the sides lunch plate and a separate side order of Spicy Pork. So happy with my order. Food was delicious! Everything was still hot when I got it delivered (mind you I'm only 15mins away). Love the thank you note sticker. Didn't dine in so can't speak about the ambiance but I'm sure from the other posts it's probably very quaint and nice. Will try to dine in next time. Overall, satisfied with the food and have to give kudos to my GrubHub delivery driver for being on time and nothing was messed up with my order.

YESSSSS!!!! Another spot I found on Yelp that's serving up some bomb a$$ MEAT JUN!!! I never knew there was another place that had it! I was grateful to find it just across the hospital I was working at and was not disappointed! It's a little tricky to find, but it's upstairs on the level with the movie theater. It's not a big restaurant, but it's got everything you could want if you're looking for delicious Hawaiian/Korean food.I got a few plates to share with friends, and their portions are HUGE!! I love that they don't skimp and the quality is there. So onolicious, and the prices aren't bad at all. I have since attempted to make my own version of meat jun and nailed it, but if I'm in a pinch and in this area, you better believe I'll stop in.Go on and taste it for yourself. The service was fast and they also offered a student discount. I highly recommend it!

We stumbled upon Hana Korean BBQ as we were trying to find a place after my son's volleyball tournament at San Juan Capistrano on 11/16/24. Yelp directed us to this gem in Mission Viejo. Hana Korean BBQ is located in a mall. The mall is a ghost town, 2nd floor is where all the restaurants are located. Adjacent to Edward Cinema is Hana Korean BBQ. We were greeted warmly with friendly smiles from Sterling. He was personable and helpful with all our questions. He was very knowledgeable about the food and provided excellent service. We ordered the Hana special which included chicken, kalbi, beef and meat jun. It also came with 4 sides. We got japchae, mac salad, spinach and stramed cabbage. The meat were tasty and perfectly cooked. I appreciated that Sterling asked how we liked our kalbi cooked. We like our meat cooked medium. The kalbi was tender and flavorful. The meat jun was also good. We really enjoyed the sides. We love japchae. I would prefer it to be warm vs cold but we enjoyed it nonetheless. My aon ordered the lunch portion of kalbi plate and he loved every bite! The restaurant was clean and inviting. They had a tv so it kept us feeling at home. They have tables available inside as well as a restroom. Wish we lived closer so we visit more frequently but if we are ever in the area, we will definitely be coming back again. We also loved that it is a family owned and we love to support family owned businesses. If you're looking for a Korean BBQ restaurant, Hana is definitely worth a try!

Regular go-to place is closed on Sundays, so made the extra drive to try this place. Ordered the Hana Platter which is supposed to feed 4-5 people, but there is more than enough meat to feed twice as many so 5 stars for the portion. The flavor was great, short ribs tender and would recommend and get again. Also got some sides of Cucumber kimchi and Japchae, so was a nice meal. The only reason I rated 4 stars is the location. It's a great option if you happen to be there already, but the Kaleidoscope was dead and had to take two flights of stairs which were actually non-working escalators. I would hope they think about whether the rent they are paying for space is going to good use because the landlord is not doing a great job of attracting customers and this place deserves the foot traffic! Inside, could use better flow for counter service, but the staff and especially owner delivered great service.

Been here several times over the years in visiting my in-laws. Last time was couple of weekends ago, on a very rainy weekend when we got there. The owner was really nice to accommodate my sons request to watch ncaa basketball Having been to Hawaii 40+ times, I do love the simple bbq plate lunch. Yes, this is the Korean fusion style of Hawaiian plate lunch, and it's actually my preferred with the 4 sides you get to pick. My son had the combination, I had beef, and my wife and in-laws got the chicken. As always, the food is always hot and fresh. And the lady (owner?) is always very friendly. Upon leaving as it was still raining, my son and I left first and waited by the escalator. Shortly after, my wife and in-laws went to their back kitchen to the service elevator to avoid the rain. Thank you again for your kindness in taking care of the customer

I had walked by this place a few times & always thought about trying it but I waited for the right moment. I finally decided to try it today- I ordered it on DoorDash and picked it up to eat it at home. My van broke down and my food sat for at least an hour til I was able to get home.As soon as I got in the door I sat down to enjoy my dinner plate- huge portions for the greatest hits. I tried the meats first- all very delicious. The pan fried rib eye is amazing & the bulgogi marinade is delicious! I was dying for the macaroni salad and it was sooo worth the wait. Every bite of everything was phenomenal. I'll probably be having this once a week. And you have bibimbap?! 10/10!

Located on the 6th floor of Kaleidoscope, Hana Korean BBQ sits right across from Sal's Pizzeria. Shout out to the lady who never made us feel like we needed to rush out the store even though they were about to close soon. We appreciate you! THE FOODS | Korean BBQ with a Hawaiian flair. Lunch plates come with two sides and one scoop of rice; except the Hana Special and Vegetable Plate which are only offered at regular size (four sides, two scoops of rice). I ordered... - Hana Special | This is a behemoth of meal! It comes with meats upon meats and sides upon sides. I felt like I ate a whole meal, but my plate looked undisturbed! Suffice to say, I had plenty of leftovers that lasted me a few days. 1. Kalbi | Slightly sweet marinade with crunchy charred edges. It's my favorite. 2. BBQ Beef | Thinly sliced beef rib eye and full of flavor.3. BBQ Chicken | Tender and super juicy. This is another favorite. 4. Meat Jun | Thinly sliced beef sandwiched between a scrambled egg. It's like a thin omelette and it's pretty good!5. Mandoo (Korean Dumpling) | Filled with pork, this wonton based mandoo has a chewy consistency in addition to crunchy surface areas. I like it. 6. Seasoned Bean Sprouts (Side Choice) | Crisp and crunchy. The juicy burst from each bite is the best. 7. Shoyu Potato (Side Choice) | These starchy little cubes are soy saucy and so filling! 8. Kim Chee (Side Choice) | So I've always been a fan. It's the combined vinegar, spicy kick, and crunchy snap that won me over. Some call it pungent, I call it delicious. 9. Macaroni salad (Side Choice) | Cold and slightly sweet. It's not as creamy as I expected, but still very good. THE DRINKS | Fountain and bottled drinks. we ordered a few fountain drinks. Perfect amount of syrup and carbonation. THE HANA KOREAN BBQ FEELS | The shop is small with a few tables and some bar height seating facing out into the plaza. Outdoor patio seating is available as well. The vibe is casual, modern, and oh so inviting.THE PARKING SITUATION | Parking is free and attached to the shopping mall. If you can, park on the 5th floor and take the escalator up to the 6th floor where Hana Korean BBQ is located. WOULD I COME BACK? | We've actually been back a few more times after this initial visit. We love it!

My youngest daughter has discovered that Bulgogi is her favorite food, so I have started searching for local Korean BBQ restaurants in south OC to try... unfortunately there aren't many near Mission Viejo. I ordered the beef bulgogi plate with extra beef, rice, cucumber kimchi, macaroni salad, chapchae noodles, and mixed veggies from DoorDash the other day. We found the portions to be large and the food fresh and flavorful. I'll probably order from here again, but it's not our first choice for KBBQ.

I've read other reviews before heading to Hana's Korean BBQ. The location is a bit tricky to get to because it is located inside a mall. Pros- easy parking because there's a garage and there is an elevator you can take to the 5th floor (top floor) I think. Con- trying to figure where to park but it's a minimal problem (look for elevators/escalators.) Food is delicious! I got the Kalbi dinner plate and the sides were delicious as well! I don't like my Kalbi too fatty and it was perfect! Seasoning was on point, and the fact they ask you if you want it well done or medium (I went with this) was neat. I was in town for work and will go back when I'm working in the area.
