I love this place for nostalgic reasons. to lazy to cook and want some good food that takes too much time to prep at home.I always go for the:Bun Dau Mam Tom - just the spread/presentation alone is Devine. it's fun to assemble to your liking from making a lil lettuce wrap, a roll, eat in a bowl or singular items alone to dip with.on nice cold day Bun Rieu - again so fragrant, clean, just hits home with all the flavors. I always ask for extra fermented shrimp paste... yet be care as always bc it is an acquired taste. I did order the spring roll once, it was massive and I couldn't handle it, yet my brother took it like a champ.Cheers!

This was my fourth visit to Ha Noi Pho, where we ordered Bun Rieu, Bun Cha Ha Noi, and Banh Tom Co Ngu.- **Bun Rieu (Vietnamese Crab and Tomato Vermicelli Soup):** The taste is excellent and reminds me of the Bun Rieu from South Vietnam. The addition of softshell crab on top is a nice touch. However, it's disappointing that Elsholtzia ciliata (Kinh Gioi) leaves are missing. Without them, the dish doesn't capture the true essence of Bun Rieu. Overall, it's a great bowl, but the absence of Kinh Gioi costs it 2 stars.- **Bun Cha Ha Noi (Hanoi Rice Vermicelli with Grilled Pork Patties/Meatballs):** The dish was overly sweet and lacked any special qualities.- **Banh Tom Co Ngu (Shrimp & Sweet Potato Fritter):** This is a delightful dish. Bánh tôm is a seafood specialty from Hanoi, consisting of julienned sweet potatoes coated in batter and topped with shrimp before being deep-fried until crispy. Definitely deserving of 4 stars.

Pros: - the place is very big, you can probably bring a lot of friends here to celebrate and eat. - the bún đậu I tried tasted pretty similar to the one in Vietnam, which is amazing because I missed it so much. - the service was amazing, the server was nice and was very attentive. - it was pretty crowded but they serve the food fast Cons: - parking space is pretty hard to find because the plaza is always so crowded. Overall: The restaurant is great, has great food, affordable price and fast service. I recommend this place if you want to try some Vietnamese food! :)!

Hard to find Northern style Viet food and this place was phenomenal.Rare that I say I am blown away by a Viet place (sorry? maybe it's a big complex since I grew up eatbún đậu mắm tômnd also I don't feel like the service/atmosphere of Viet restaurants have elevated in the way others have here) BUT this place was phenomenal.I read reviews while waiting for my friend and people noted the bún đậu mắm tôm was best in town. It truly was phenomenal and highly recommend getting that. We also shared the bun cha, which my friend liked better. We came on a Sunday at 6pm and it was not that busy, but by 8pm-- place was full.

Decided to stop by and try their Bun Rieu. It was not the best bun rieu I've tried and it lacked the strong tomato flavor. The proportions of meats were decent. Interior: Quite spacious interior and looks aesthetically pleasing. Service: The servers were okay in their service since there was only 2 workers at the time of visit. I witness a customer upset about her food taking forever to come out and they've just decided to take that dish off the tab LOL. I don't know if I'll be coming back here and if I did, I'll try some other dish.

This one is recommended by a local pickleball player who says this restaurant is more Northern style? We ordered Vietnamese ice coffee, ice coffee and variety of drinks as we have party of 5. I have B7 and house ice coffee with cream which is sweeter and less bitter but still very strong coffee. One of us ordered crispy noodle and the sauce is lacking, so the taste is too dry. I also tasted the soft shell crab it's really yummy and crunchy. It's fairly large and good capacity inside the restaurant. Service is a bit slower probably due to limited staff, but they are more traditional type Vietnamese restaurant and still very friendly.

Went here twice, both time no wait on weekday nights. Service lady is friendly and refilled our water. We ordered :- salted egg sea snails ( first time is really good, second time the salted egg is a little bit sour - mixed feelings ) - coconut cream escargot ( recommend!!) - mango pineapple green tea ( recommend! ) - B9 - soft shell crab noodle with tomato soup baseThe coconut cream escargot is easier to eat than other places I have tried - I think they cut the openings larger! This place has a lot of tables and booth so good time to spend with friends and family.

Came for the bun dau mam tom and it did not disappoint! I've had it from a few other places but so far this one is my favorite. Tofu is crispy, the noodles are cubed, and the sauce was perfect. The bun cha Ha Noi is also good! We also ordered the clams which were in a good soup but the clams were not very fresh and had sand in them. Parking: ample parking. Service was good and food came out quickly! I would definitely come back.

Food was decent - nothing wrong with the food, it just all seemed lackluster. The service was a slow and inattentive. I had to flag the waitress or walk up to her for condiments, togo box, the bill.

I came to this restaurant for their chicken pho and rice noddles tofu tray with pork and fermented fish sauce. I would say that they have some of the best fish paste sauce in OC. Their food is amazing and very authentic. The staff ate attentive. Parking lot is big and free. You got to stop by to try traditional Vietnamese food. Their portions are big too.
