Ha Long Bay Pho & Grill

We've dined here for lunch and dinner- located in a center off Newport blvd with plenty of parking. Seating indoors only and they have booths and tables with table service. Their menu features pho with various options, rice and vermicelli entrees, bahn mi, appetizers including spring or egg rolls and various beverages. Service is very fast and we always order either the bahn mi sandwich, chicken lemongrass vermicelli, BBQ pork vermicelli's or rice and we've had the pho. All are delicious and the portions are generous. Prices are reasonable- dinner for two with beverages and an appetizer for about $40, which is a steal these days. Highly recommend this family owned friendly place for good food !

We came today for lunch and it's a cavernous place. I had to walk up to the counter and announce our presence. Then get our own menus because the female owner was breaking down some boxes. Ok, cool... took about 7-8 minutes before she came to take our order. Two entrees and an order of spring rolls. We asked for water. Another 10 minutes and then one of the entrees came out. No water and I could see out of the corner of my eye that she was aghast that her male cohort did not bring out the waters nor the appetizer.I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt because I've been here before when they were more organized. Plus the flavors in our lemongrass beef vermicelli and lemongrass chicken rice were satisfying. But I did not appreciate the lackluster customer service. We had to walk up to the counter and ask for plates when it was obvious we needed to share the spring rolls. goi cuon appetizer. Ample parking in the strip mall, and a large menu with pictures. I would hesitate returning until they improve upon their service. We shouldn't be interrupting their business; we are their business.

Hands-down, my go to spot for pho in TustinI'm usually always getting a mix of their house special or something that has tendon in it. The broth is absolutely delicious here if they were to sell the broth itself in a cup I would take it home and drink it every single morning. The services always great here. They're always on point to either refill your drink or water or if you need any extra condiments or jalapeños, they will give it to you without question.I don't know what location they took over when they open this spot, but it looks like it used to be some type of ship theme. Either way it looks nice inside.Overall, I would highly recommend this fuss spot to anyone anytime especially when it's raining. If you find yourself near Tustin, come here for a delicious pho

Love! Chicken pho, tendon pho . The egg rolls are bomb dot com. Clean restroom. Food is good whether we take out or eat in.

My husband and I had a rather disappointing experience. Despite arriving when the restaurant was not overly busy, it took an unusually long time for us to receive our drinks. To make matters worse, we noticed that other tables, who arrived after us, were being served their drinks and meals well before we received ours.When our food finally arrived, it was a letdown. The meat had way too much fat on it and was not good AT ALL.At this point it had been an hour and my husband had to return back to work so we asked one the waitress to please remove the drinks from the bill. She agrees and goes to get our check. Soon after another waitress comes out with our drinks ( we still never received our waters). The review is only getting 2 stars because of the second waitress allowing us to keep our drinks since it took a long time to receive them. Overall, the service was slow and inattentive, and the quality of the food did not make up for the wait. I hope they can address these issues, as the potential is there, but I won't be coming back.*Also forgot to add that when we received our food we had to wait again to receive utensils. Ridiculous

Crying over the standard price of $18+ pho in Irvine, we came across Ha Long Bay Pho & Grill with considerably more reasonable prices at $13-$15 (as of 2024). Long gone the days of $7 pho in the early 2000s! Pho Tai Nam P3 (Rare Steak and Flank): 3.8/5- There was a decent amount of meat here which was appreciated. I'd say the broth was standard. It's not the most flavorful broth I've had, if I had to compare it to some places in Westminster for example. The large ($1 extra) was definitely a hefty size...I didn't even finish my bowl! Shrimp Spring Rolls A4: 3.5/5- These are your standard vietnamese spring rolls. Nothing out of the ordinary and fits the ticket. It comes with peanut sauce.Overall, if you are looking for cheaper Vietnamese cuisine in the Tustin/Irvine area that will satisfy your pho cravings, Ha Long Bay has got you covered. Despite the food not being anything extraordinarily special, this might end up being our go-to spot for pho -- I just can't fathom regularly paying $20 for pho in Irvine, I simply won't do it!!!

Local neighborhood place that's behind one of our go-to places. Service is usually quick, sometimes slow but always friendly. It's quiet, clean and doesn't normally have a long wait and they recently added more tables. Food is good and prices are fair. Their pad see ew is one of my favorite. Plenty of parking.

Was looking for a good pho place while in the Tustin/ Irvine area and stumbled upon this place. Was super quiet inside and was surprised to see their extensive menu.Their pho broth is very flavorful and rich. They noodles are cooked to perfection as well. They also give you a good amount of meat and you have the option of getting either a regular size or large size.

What took me so long to try this vietnamese restaurant in Tustin?!I love pho and been taking the drive to Garden Grove and Westminster to try out the various vietnamese restaurants there. Took years before I tried this local restaurant here in Tustin and yay I am happy to finally sample their amazing cuisine. Sampled so far:* pho house special - 5 stars! * spring rolls - 5 stars! We specially liked their peanut dip sauce. One of the best we've tried so far.* pad see eew (chicken) - 5 stars! My favorite* basil beef fried rice - 5 stars! My husband says he will order this again next time for sure!* shrimp fried rice - 5 stars!Update: Have come back 2nd time for take out. I am updating the dishes I ordered above. Plus, went in early this time so had the staff were not busy. Had fine time chatting with them nice people. I also observed that their restroom is very very clean!
