Green Leaves Tea Café

I was in the area visiting in laws so heavily relied on Yelp reviews one day and ended up here on Christmas Eve. Staff were friendly, the place was welcoming and clean. He even let us try one of their specialty tea before I purchase one. The popcorn chicken we had was probably one of the best that I had - very happy and satisfied. Whenever I return to the area, I will definitely come back to visit.

Tea is on the stronger side, and boba didn't come out fresh so it was a bit chewier than I like. I got a mango green tea and it had a good mango flavor! Server last Friday afternoon was very kind and I appreciate that they actually treat it like a cafe and bring your drinks and food to you! The food smelled good so I'd be down to try that another time

I have been gatekeeping this little spot and have not wanted to leave a review because of it but let me just say I LOVE this place!It's your run of the mill boba spot with popcorn chicken and tea and coffee BUT the service and care I always get here from the staff makes me never want to get boba anywhere else. I have been coming here for years now with my husband and I almost always get the cmt with sesame and boba. It's always so good and tastes so fresh! I love their jalapeño popcorn chicken too and again it's always so fresh tasting and I have never ever gotten sick from their popcorn chicken! I don't know how many times other spots have undercooked their food and gotten me sick but since I always come here now instead I haven't had that issue. The inside is very casual but dark and moody in a good way! The lights aren't bright and in your face but yet everything is always SO CLEAN. I love that about this place. Thank you to the owner and the girls always putting in work for our orders!

I came in here today around 4:15 pm and purchased an Oreo smoothie. Sounds good right ? I usually don't do boba tea cuz I don't like the texture of the boba, I know is weird. Maybe cuz the first time I had it , it was weird when I chewed on one of the boba and it popped like I was eating fish eggs, it wasn't chewy like a tiny mochie ball. So now when I ordered a drink from boba tea places, I don't add the boba lol. But today, since I was going to get a massage ( My Touch Spa) across from here, I thought I ordered a Oreo smoothie. For some reason, I thought it was like a smooth ice cream texture and not like a slushy. The first sip, it tasted like a watery chocolate milk, then I swirled the straw around and I tasted the Oreo cookies. But it tasted like a Oreo slushy to me. Like it was made with ice, Oreo cookies and chocolate syrup, blended together. It was ok. When I walked in, it was nice and warm cozy atmosphere. The cashier lady was nice, she asked if I wanted any add ons, I said no. In about a minute or 2, my drink was ready. Thank her and left. Went to my car and enjoy 1/2 of it then went to my massage. Plenty of parking, is in a nice plaza with lots of restaurants and shops. Great hangout for young people.

Sadly, I don't agree with all of the 5-star reviews of the drinks here at Green Leaves. I ordered the Signature Milk Tea ($4.75) and Four Seasons Fruit Tea ($6.49) both with less ice and less sweet. They were just okay. Many Yelpers claim that their Signature Milk Tea has a distinct or strong tea flavor. It sort of does, but it reminds me of the "tea" flavor like the milk tea from Lollicup. Lollicup had a distinct and unique "tea" taste that isn't quite artificial, but it wasn't quite real either. Lollicup definitely used powder tea to make their milk teas and Green Leaves Signature Milk Tea reminds me of that taste. It's not bad at all, but just not what I hoped for it to be. The Four Seasons Fruit Tea was also not a drink to write home about, it didn't hit the spots of a fruit tea like the ones from Yifang or Sunright. Service was friendly! This place has a forest-like décor. It was interesting and too busy for me. I wasn't a fan of the 3% added fee if you choose to use a credit card....

I went here one time years ago and never came back until recently. After shopping at the market across the street, I wanted a drink and a snack and I remembered this place so I gave it another try.Several years ago during my first visit I remember the owner being white, but it looks like staff now is Asian so im wondering if they had a change of owners? Not sure, but it seems Thai inspired now maybe?I wanted a fruit tea so ended up getting their passion fruit orange tea, its the one described as feeling like visiting Hawaii. I also got a small garlic fries, but be aware the serving is actually small. HahaThe drink was decent but not amazing, however their ice level was killing me. Very little ice, I barely took a few sips in the 8mins or so of waiting for my fries and all the ice melted. Nothing destroys the intensity of a refreshing drink because of light ice that melts too fast. Yes, that's picky but I think thats true. Before I left I was able to get a sample of their milk tea. It tasted okay, reminded me of quicklys milk tea. One of the workers suggested that I get it with brown sugar syrup next time since I told her I like my drinks on the sweeter side. I will probably do that shall I return which I probably will.

As far as seating area and interior this place is very nice! Feels like you're in some tavern with their wine barrel seating and the oaky color theme. I had tried their signature milk tea and the jasmine milk tea here. I would expect the signature milk tea to be their best drink but unfortunately it fell short of expectation. It might be one of my least favorite one I've had. It has almost no flavor and just tasted like cold, bland milk. The jasmine milk tea even though better was very light on the flavor but relatively much better than the signature milk tea. Definitely drink wise below average this the 2 star but the service was good and a really nice place to be.

Every time my kid and I go to a new tea/coffee place, we get a hot almond milk tea. It's out go to. The first time we had it here, it wasn't bad, but something about it was a little off. Perhaps a little bit too much mint? But this time it was perfect. I think we'll just tell them to make sure there's no mint in it. Ambience is really nice. Workers are very nice. And I know this sounds funny, but their bathroom is super nice and clean. I really really appreciate that.

We needed some sustenance after leaving Kaiser off of Kramer. This was one of the shops that was open at 11am I believe. It was also hot that day so we opted for some of their ice blended drinks and a side of popcorn chicken. Once inside, I think there's a hired help at the register while the owner prepares the food from the back. The owner had brought the popcorn chicken and the drinks over about 15 minutes after ordering. I do like the vibes here, it actually has a bar feel with the TV on the wall. I dig it, has that rustic meets country chic feel. The drinks and food are good here, I did wish there was more basil in the popcorn chicken. All of the other pictures shows it but unfortunately, we hardly had any in ours. The dipping sauces were kind of funky, definitely doesn't have that Asian taste, so we didn't bother with it. As for the smoothies, the pineapple one was fabulous. Sweetness level is perfect, not overly sweet at all. But we did drink a couple of chunks here and there. Not a deal breaker, that's for sure. They do give out stamp cards here, I'm not sure when I'll be back but I definitely wouldn't mind coming back again the next time I visit Kaiser.

I'm waiting on a BIGGER sized drink! lol Because I can't get enough! The workers probably get annoyed with me asking EVERY single time I go. My absolute favorite is the large (extra large please) Watermelon smoothie with boba & pudding. Drooling just thinking of it. The bubble waffle is so good. I wish they had fruity pebbles for an addition-- hehehe. But it's yummy without. My son likes the popcorn chicken as well. It's a very welcoming, cute sit-in tea house with cute cartoons playing on a tv. It can get pretty hot in the front area though and that can be an issue. I've had to wait outside in the heat but shaded with a slight breeze due to this. Almost hard to breathe from the stuffy heat. Hopefully they can fix this so my husband won't have to suffer for me to get my watermelon smoothie fix. lol
