Gourmet Strudel & Cafe

LOOKS GOOD ! We stopped by this tiny shop on Saturday. A woman presumedly the owner told us she makes all the chocolates but not the vegan ones. My wife thought I might like to buy an Apple Strudel but after asking the owner it was not the variety that appealed to me. WORTH A LOOK !NOTE - Of course with 20 million views of my Yelp reviews and pics world wide in 2023 I can tell you what is great !

Great, home cooked style, apple strudel. Reminds me of the strudel my mother made, but easier, since one can buy it here!!

This place smells so good! My family and I came to eat at a crepe place nearby and decided to get some sweets. The sweet lady recommended some chocolate bark with lots of nuts in it and it was so good. We also bought a few of other chocolates, very good quality and delicious. I wanna come back and try their struddles soon!

I ised to work inside Bella Terra ten years ago and always wanted to stop in but never had the chance too... Its a tiny little bakery inside Old World village, its small and cute, the woman working here was really nice. She even let my dog come inside to bask in the ambiance of the fresh baked strudels. The strudels are made FRESH, will definitely come back again! We bought 6 of the apple strudel, blueberry and a strawberry croissant, along with some caramel pecan chocolates and s'mores... I shared all of these with my family and every one loved it!! We do not like American desserts because its tooooooo sweet but these I was told are more "European sweet" and honestly, the best strudels in SoCal! I did have some with vanilla ice cream, and I dont regret it!

The Apple strudel (fresh off the oven) and croissants are absolutely worth the hour drive. The lady at the counter is friendly and bakes the strudel herself.

I'll never forget the smell that pulled me into this bakery. The quaint store is a feast for the eyes. The owner made some great conversation with my friend and I. We couldn't say no to buying an apple streudel ($13.50) and I bought an assortment of chocolates ($8 weighted). The streudel was so flaky and flavorful.

We are new to Huntington and California in general. We moved from Oregon recently. We have been craving more local shops and restaurants in LA and Orange County. The bastion of fast food and fast casual chains is overwhelming and uninspiring. Looking for a change, we decided to take an evening stroll to the Old World Village. It was 7:45pm, the last night of November and practically the beginning of the Christmas market. We looked into the Gourmet Strudel & Cafe and marveled and gawked at the chocolate case. The lights were on but no one was inside. We assumed it was closed but from around the corner came a voice - the owner told us that she also had hot apple strudel fresh from oven. We found ourselves inside the shop talking to the owner. She makes almost everything from scratch - chocolates and strudels. Her strudel recipe involves fresh Fuji apples. We took one home + some chocolates. Absolutely delicious and it tastes even better knowing that it was homemade and handmade. We will be back!

Stopped by while visiting the Christmas market. Smelled the apple strudel fresh out of the oven and had to try it. So delicious. Flakey, fresh, not too sweet so you can really taste the apple. Definitely worth a visit to bring a strudel home, and get a few chocolates while you are there too!

Went there after the Weiner dog races. Got 2 strudels and a few chocolates. My bill was 41. +. The lady at the store said she would text me my receipt which she never did. The strudel wasn't as good as the last time.My bill was $41.74 to be exact and it was from Gourmet Strudel. I definitely did not get a pound of chocolates. The lady who helped me said she would text me the receipt!! I don't know why she didn't just give me one when I was there.
