Golden Rabbit

I live on Balboa Island and i could not be happier to welcome such a wonderful new restaurant to the neighborhood! I am a vegetarian, so during the soft opening menu, i was worried there were't going to be many options here for me, but now with the full menu, there are a lot of options! i have tried the fresh spring rolls, veggie/tofu udon, and veggie/tofu vermicelli and each dish is so good! I've also had a boba tea here and it was awesome and i am so excited to have boba on the island. The ambiance is small and clean and it is nice that they offer outdoor tables too. I enjoy eating at the restaurant or getting to go. We met the owners the other night and they are so lovely and kind! This is definitely the new addition that was needed on the island and i cannot wait to bring more of my friends and family back. fun fact- the owners also own sugar and spice across the street, so check that out too! :)

I LOVE Pho, and I had perhaps the best ever here. Filet Mignon and spareribs beef, tasty broth and all of the accoutrements. Yum! The wife had chicken curry which she loved. Technically it is a takeout place but we sat a the window counter and had a nice chat with Mysa, the owner. Good to see this new restaurant is having early success!

Nothing tastes better than a bowl of hot pho after a long walk to the beach. We ordered the shrimp rolls and beef pho. The cashier is attentive and very sweet to divide the pho into two bowls. 5 stars restaurant!

Omg amazing! I've been walking by this restaurant and finally stopped with my wife, I should've stopped sooner! Great food with amazing flavor; we got spring rolls, curry soup and the wok seared shrimp rice...We sat outside with heat lamps and enjoyed the service from the restaurant owner! She's so nice and friendly! We will be going there again soon!

This was a delicious meal here. Very good service and the food was excellent. I'll definitely return here when visiting balboa island.

The pho was enjoyable but nothing special. The filet mignon was not very good and I definitely wouldnt think it was filet if it wasnt called that. The noodles were tasty and the broth was good. People super nice there. I've probably had vietnamese coffee at over 50 different restaurants an this might have been the worst I've had. Expected better given the stellar reviews.

Yum I can't wait to try all the dishes here!!On my first trip, I tried the beef vermicelli and I found it extremely delicious. I rarely order this dish but they have a limited menu. I thought I would give it a shot and wow, I was so impressed. However, it's not the "restaurant" that I thought it was it's more like order And eat your food kinda place, it's not the full "full service." I thought it would be. I was looking forward to having a glass of wine lol but it's just not that kind of place yet. When all the locals find out about how good this place is tho it's going to be busy!I overheard the owner talk to some patrons that were raving over the food and had been to Vietnam And went to culinary school there and telling her how wonderful her food!! There are 2 outdoor dining tables that they will serve you and then inside it's kind of warm and stuffy with a lot of cooking smells but you can grab a barstool and sit inside too at an eating book that aces the window! Closed on Monday too! Why do I go out to dinner all the time on Mondays

Came by today in the mid-afternoon and there was no line. The food looked delicious but I ended up just getting the sea salt coffee. It was the perfect pick me up for the hot afternoon. It was delicious, creamy, and very caffeinated. I let my cousin try my drink, who then immediately bought her own. There's a small seating area inside and outside. The staff was very friendly when I asked what the popular drinks were (brown sugar boba & the sea salt). Definitely recommend!

My daughter and I have been hearing wonderful reviews about Golden Rabbit--and this little restaurant did not disappoint!I'm so glad we gave it a try!! We were welcomed & warmly greeted, service was prompt & excellent, and the food was remarkably delicious. I had a vegetarian noodle/veggie entree and my daughter had the pho w/chicken (I think that's correct!). We sat outside, near an outdoor heater, and thoroughly enjoyed everything about this new(-ish) addition to Balboa Island.
