The best Chinese I've had in Orange County. I order Pan fried (Hong Kong style) noodles with seafood every time. And they definitely have thee best honey walnut shrimp! The food and service are consistently excellent. I most often get my food to go and it's still piping hot because they pack it up well.

My 10 and 12 year old daughters were up to 2 am throwing up. Both had different styles of chicken options. From reading the other reviews it looks like they undercooked the food again. We will never go back

Well I finally got a chance to experience the famous Golden Dragon in Costa Mesa that has been there well over 30 years. My friend that I've worked with now for about 4 years has been wanting to take me there and we finally were able to dine there last night. We were greeted very welcomingly upon arrival and were seated immediately. I allowed my friend to order her favs and I included the bbq spare ribs because those are one of my husband and my favorite Chinese dishes; and if I didn't mention it Chinese is one of our favorite cuisines and I'm a little partial to Cantonese style Chinese. Nonetheless; we also ordered snow peas and shrimp (I love Chinese snow peas), Walnut Shrimp, the house fried rice and pork moo shu with plum sauce which was a first time try for me! They already had me at the final preparation of the moo shu at the table (I love a presentation) but I did like the onion, pork, egg, carrots and bean sprout mixture wrapped in a pancake crepe topped with plum sauce; very tasty! All the dishes were good but I will say that some of the pieces of the ribs were a little dry and not as tender as most but the sauce made up for it. I'll have to give that another try! We also ordered a couple of rounds of 7 and 7 cocktails and they were made very well and were a good compliment to the night. Other notes about my experience last night was that parking was easy and accessible, service was very attentive and it's not too often that a matriarch of the business is still visibly attentive to the business and all of the guests; yes she came around to greet everyone and she was kind enough to take a picture with me. I ordered a pepper steak to take to my husband to try with the rest of the leftovers and to say the least he and I will be returning to try some of our favorite Chinese dishes. After he ate the leftovers we agreed that it's better than our number 1 spot in Corona but the verdict is still out on our all time favorite spot from 40 yrs ago; the original Tin Sing Restaurant in Gardena that is no longer open but I did find a lot of similarities in the ambiance and overall quality of Chinese Dining! It's a blessing that this restaurant is still open and I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a good family Chinese restaurant/dining experience!

If your sick of panda express and want authentic Chinese food from a family owned restaurant, here you go. Ive been going to this place for years and every time it's the food highlight of my day. The hour and sour soup is what I usually get, it's think and savory filled to the brim with top tiergredients. The wonton soup is also amazing, the flavors are rich and the wontons are cooked to perfection. The orange peel chicken is usually a table order, a must have.I used to not be a fan of crab rangoons, but this has converted me. The filling is creamy without an cream cheese flavor, the skin is crispy and golden brown. All of their food is served to the table piping hot, this restaurant is cozy and warm. Please pay a visit to the Golden Dragon in Costa Mesa.

I don't even know where to start. The mama of this place is so kind! So sweet! So effectionate, and she makes sure you get great service. I saw her greet ALL her costumers. The dining room is huge! And there is a bar off to the side with ample bar top seating n more tables. All the staff are in black n white with aprons. The food, drinks, and clean moves fast! Meaning your drinks and food come out fast. And the staff won't allow a dirty dish. It's nice! Not having to shove dishes to the end of the table to drop a hint that you want it removed. Now as for the food. Double dang! So good! So good! So good! (Sweet Caroline line song). We ordered the orange peel shrimp, and king Pao Beef, along with the fried pot stickers. The pot stickers were large in size and it came with 8.The Orange Peel Chicken I would say serves 3-4 people.Kung Pao Beef same serving size as the shrimp. Would feed 3-4 and it doesn't have the spicy kick one would be expecting. But all very good!Go and enjoy and prepare to come home with leftovers!

The restaurant is decorated very nicely and it seems they have some regulars who frequent the restaurant, but unfortunately I will not be one of them. My partner ordered the broccoli beef and I ordered the chicken chu mein. We both got the dinner combos which comes with wontons, wonton soup, an eggroll, and rice. I'm not sure how to explain this, but all of the aforementioned items tasted stale and dirty. The meat in our dinners were undercooked and uncomfortably soft so we sent it back. The servers were really nice about it and we are grateful for that. I will say that the noodles were great and maybe we just came on a bad day.

BADSweet and sour chicken undercooked as in raw!$10.00 fee for white rice to an already large meal order purchase. We didn't even need the extreme amount of rice they brought out. IDEAMaybe under serve white rice to cut your costs versus the first Chinese restaurant ever to charge for standard portion of white rice. GOODHowever to give good credit all the other meals were good . Almond chicken, chicken fried noodles, wor wonton soup
