Gees Barbecue

Gee's is truly legit Texas BBQ. Brisket. Proper bark. Fat is perfectly rendered, and not excessively trimmed. Flat is tender and juicy with deep smoke infusion. 10 out of 10. I am a backyard offset smoker weekend warrior, and I want my brisket to be done like Gee's.The Dino rib. Proper bark, Fall off the bone tenderness . It doesn't get any better than this.Mac n Cheese is good. Esquite (aka elote) is legit. I also like they garnish with pickled red onions and jalapeños.Gees is professional grade Texas BBQ. Very well executed. I now need to step up my own weekend warrior offset smoker game.

Stopped by Gees BBQ right at opening, and there were only about five people in line not bad at all. The brisket was pretty solid, with a good bark and tenderness. The Dino rib was flavorful and well-cooked, definitely a highlight. The sausage had a natural casing, but it lacked the signature snap that really defines great Texas BBQ.Overall, it's worth a try, and I'd come back in the future to explore more of the menu. Solid spot! 4/5 stars as I see some improvements can be made.

Thank you Omar & Doug and the rest of the staff. Food was amazing and my group of 25+ ppl absolutely loved it as well. Great service, great setting and awesome melt in your mouth food!! Went to Papi to get some churros and that was delicious too!! Everything on the menu was top notch! If I could give 10 stars, I would! We will be back!!

Came with a large group, 25+ from meetup. Arrived at 11:10 and we were about 4th in line for the noon opening. By the time they started taking orders at noon the line was probably 40 people deep. Gee's didn't disappoint. I had lamb barbacoa and garlic sausage. My son ordered brisket and esquites, and my girlfriend had the dino rib. Everything was tasty and we were all stuffed. Fantastic venue with delicious food. Prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. We'll be back.

THE DINO RIB IS EVERYTHING!! Mine in the pic was 1.3lbs. It was $54. The line to order was really slow, one guy took 20 minutes to order and the staff kept catering to him so everyone was pretty upset.Anyway, I got all the sides and they were all pretty mid, the best one is probably the noodles. Its got a little spice to it. I will come back 100% to this place, for the dino rib and only for the dino rib. Get the dino rib only, its so good!! (i got brisket sausage and a couple of other meats, so i have a say in this)You're welcome.

This is the closest thing to Texas BBQ you can find in California. I will definitely be a regular here. We got here around 2pm on a Sunday. Waited around 30 minutes in line, which is a bit long but it was worth it for how delicious the food was. We got one dino rib, half pound brisket, 2 sausages, Mac and cheese and esquites to share among 3 people. All of them was amazing but the dino rib is truly out of this world. it reminds me of the one at Terry Black's in Texas. It's melt-in-your-mouth tender, juicy, and smoky. My favorite bite is the part on the back of the bone with a mixture of textures. It's already flavorful on its own, but their house BBQ sauce make it even better. The line got really short by the time we're done eating. So maybe next time I'll come at 3pm to avoid waiting

First off, I have no issue waiting in a line, but if it is not for good food, then it is a problem, and the food was not good at all.This is a small shop in Santa Ana that is doing lots of business, but I wondering why as the food is just not good.You get there and there is a long line as you wait to order. The menu is limited and prices are pretty high. $12 for one rib is pretty steep and $40 per pound for another item. A little outrageous. (A pound of ground beef is $5.50, come on now)Ordered the brisket sandwich, one sausage, and a $12 pint of Mac and cheese. GeezSausage were dry, like they had been over the heat too long and did not really taste the jalapeno flavor. The Mac and cheese was missing flavor, like you could tell there was cheese, but something was just missing.The brisket sandwich was okay, but not spectacular or out of this world. Slaw was missing something and that basically summed up everything.I would rather go to the inland empire and go to the Spirit of Texas BBQ, instead of this place.Sorry, but won't be coming back.

Food, service, everything was great!This was reminiscent of gas station BBQ I've had in Dallas, and the food delivered in a big way. Brisket was tender and delicious. Turkey was moist and juicy. We tried three sides (Mac and cheese, potato salad, and dirty noodles) - the Mac and cheese was the stuff of legends. Maybe the best I've ever had. The dirty noodles were delicious and actually pretty spicy. Potato salad isn't my thing, but my partner loved it. Service was so friendly. Every person greeted us with a smile and was patient and helpful. Can't wait to return, this place is delicious.

Beef ribs was amazing.... again... the fall of the bone and temperature was perfection. I would need bbq sauce next time. The enquires was just OK. Taste like can corn with tons of mayo. The mac and cheese was delicious. So overall, a very enjoyable experience... love the slice pineapple with the ribs. Enjoy .

Gee's Barbecue was awesome. The brisket was super tender, the beef ribs were packed with flavor, and the garlic sausage was spot on. The dirty noodles were a tasty surprise that tied everything together. Omar and Dan were friendly and made the experience even better. Outdoor seating was also really easy to find and had a view of the 2 big smokers. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to.
