GCH Craftsman Bar is a dining location at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel by the pool area where you can sit and eat and soak up the California sunshine. The menu offers a variety of options, and we decided to sample the poke bowl, nachos, and the kids' chicken tenders. The nachos were a fun, customizable treat, especially since we opted for all the toppings on the side. Though the food was satisfying, the price point is on the higher side, which can be expected at a resort location. We were happy to find that the pool wasn't too busy, so our meal remained peaceful. The outdoor environment enhances the California dining experience, allowing guests to enjoy the pleasant climate. If you prefer to plan ahead, you can easily secure a table by making a reservation through the Disney app. This spot is particularly appealing for those who want a break from the Disney parks yet still stay immersed in the resort vibe.

The Disney hotels dining area is really fun with a bunch of restaurants and live entertainment. There's even a warm comfy fireplace in the Grand Adventure hotel. The piano and singer at Craftsman Bar were amazing. The singer sang some frozen sings and I couldn't help but sing along. Her voice was so pretty. She sounded like the actual singers of the original songs. Will definitely be back just to listen to them. What a wonder dinner I had with the BEST entertainment. There was another duet in the Grand Adventure hotel and they were just not good at all. It was like night and day with the two different duos. The Craftsman bar duo were so pleasant to listen to. The duo in the Grand Adventure hotel were not good. I couldn't hear any of the words the singer was singing. Sounded like mumble jumble.

Lunch time at the pool. I had to have my go to drinks and food. This place makes the best grilled cheese hands down. Sometimes the fries get changed up but the wider flat ones are best. Kinda thin but not too thin if that makes sense The nachos are definitely a fan favorite with my friends and family so another go to for us. Staff is always nice but also try and make a reservation. There are days this place gets packed. If you sit at the bar you'll get a little chip mix. Bartenders always check on you if you're at the bar, there's always several of them. Food and drinks are good but also keep in mind you're at a theme park so theme park pricing Worth it though.

Service was just okay. There was live music and that was nice. The sodas were flat. I ordered the nachos and they are definitely a shareable size however all the toppings were mostly hidden on the bottom which was a disappointment. My fiancé ordered the pizza and hands down the best option and price.

This place has been on my list of places I wanted to try at Downtown Disney. I went on a Sunday afternoon. I had such a great time! They had live music and I felt like I was on a tropical vacation. Such great vibes!! I ordered the flat iron steak salad. The steak was cooked to perfection, exactly how I ordered. There was a good amount of avocado which I appreciate that they didn't skimp out. It could've used a little more of the toppings. The staff were extremely nice. Our server did take longer to get back to us on our refills. I will say it was pretty busy for a Sunday afternoon! I have to come back to try the nachos! They looked soooo good!

We came here for lunch before our check in, and we were able to sit at a table by the bar, but not too close to the pool area, so that was enjoyable! Service was great, no complaints there at all. Be mindful, this is a Disney restaurant at their hotel, so of course food and drink menu items can be pricey. We ordered drinks and one pizza to share, and although pricey, a good experience overall. Reservations are encouraged, but they do take walk ins if available.

What a lovely ambience! It's poolside, with wood tones and plants. I remarked that it reminded me of the pool scene in the Parent Trap. Service is exceptional, even better than what you would receive in the parks. The food was good, but not great. It's almost there... but not quite. I enjoyed my quesadilla enough but it was just missing something. Likewise, the lobster mac and cheese wasn't creamy enough in texture. However, it was very pleasant and exactly the place we were looking for. We only had a 15 min walk-up wait on a very busy summer Tuesday, and all the staff were very attentive and observant. Would recommend for the vibes (off the charts) and ambiance (incredible)!

We went here for dinner during a Disney vacation. The place is set up next to the pool at the grand Californian hotel. Our server Ruth was great, super friendly and informative. The watermelon basil cocktail was deliciously refreshing. The burgers are huge but the fries came out cold. When choosing the cook on the burger be careful to ensure you are getting what you want. The sticky wings are huge! My dad really enjoyed them and you get a ton of them.

This spot in the Grand California Hotel has become a go to stop for lunch whenever we come to Disneyland. It's a great reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the parks and chaos of the million choices for park dining The price point is a bit on the higher side of Disney food fare but the quality and portion sizes are generous. Two of my favorite dishes are the steak salad and poke bowlThey often have seasonal drinks and every one we've ordered not only looks pretty...but are just as delicious Pro Tip: the hostess has a stash of special Disney buttons if you want to celebrate a special moment +e.g first visit, birthday and happily ever after). It was my friend's first visit so she was delighted when we surprised her with the simple souvenir Definitely make a reservation in advance as this spot can get busy with hotel guests and others seeking a break from the parks.
