My boyfriend and I were in the area and I was looking for a coffee shop. He recommended gala coffee. The last time I was there was in 2014. I remember that gala was my go to spot for coffee. Overtime, I started to venture to various coffee shops in the Saigon, garden grove area. I told him gala sounds great. Let's go there. We ordered the Vietnamese coffee. I took a sip and the taste has changed. It tasted like cheap instant coffee. And I paid $5 for cheap tasting coffee. Won't return.

This place is popular and known for their Ca Phe Sua Da or Vietnamese Iced Coffee! Since so many people order this drink, I guess they have all the coffee lined up and ready because I was surprised when they just handed me the coffee from their fridge right after I ordered. 'Iced Ca Phe Sua Da': Really strong and perfectly sweet Vietnamese Coffee! There's a lot of ice, but I like it because it's meant to allow you to slowly savor the drink so it's not too strong. I'm usually not a coffee person, but I loved this! 'Pork Pate Chaud': Tasty and goes well with the coffee! Crispy, flaky, but I wish there was more meat filling.Pretty small menu overall, but everything is decently priced. This place is small as well, more like a quick pick up and go spot!

Hubby picked up food here a little later in the afternoon so everything was not available that we wanted to try. We got the chicken and pork pate chaud and were immediate fans! So flakey and the meat was flavored really well and very moist. We got the Viet coffee and it was nice and strong with a wonderful roasted aftertaste. The steamed pork baos were just ok, we found the bao to be a bit dense and the filling a bit too sweet.

I didn't try any food items but note that it's limited. I bought an iced coffee. It was very good, not too sweet either. FYI - the place is small. There was only one person in there and he was nice.

The Vietnamese iced coffee here is one of the best in Orange County, and the Pate Chaurd is also good.

My all time favorite coffee. The best Vietnamese coffee I've ever had, and I've tried a lot. I drive 25 minutes every week to get some coffee and chicken pate chaud. The coffee is so flavorful with a good kick. I honestly can't get enough of this coffee, it's seriously the best I've ever had. And the chicken pate chaud is so perfect for a simple morning snack. It's on a small street and hidden in a small plaza so make sure not to miss it!

My absolute FAVORITE Vietnamese iced coffee place!! This place does not have nearly as much recognition as it should have. The man who sells the coffee is very friendly and this bakery also has pastries that are fresh! Would recommend!

The cafe sua da (Vietnamese iced coffee) here is my absolute favorite!! I don't live in the area, but when I drive down here, I try to stop by if I can. The person working here is also very friendly and kind always. Great place to stop by and grab a coffee and pastry!

Let me just say, yummy yum yum! I travel from the Bay Area and as always, a Must Do pit stop at my favorite Bakery in all of Irvine. Mung bean drinks, Pate Chaud and Vietnamese Coffee is to perfection. Must be a family secret recipe here because there's no other Bakery that serves such a delicious treat. Definitely worth the money spent. The staff are super friendly and the place is organized and clean. Plenty of parking.

I cannot even tell if this place is open or closed (permanently). I literally drove to this place 4 days in a row at around 2-4pm to find it closed with all the lights off and the open sign being off. Yelp shows the hours at being open until 6pm everyday. To Gala owners - if youre closed or on vacation please let us customer's know because I live in Rancho Cucamonga which is over an hour drive each way just to come to place that is closed.
