I had an amazing experience at Gabbi's Mexican Kitchen! Before even arriving, the staff was incredibly polite and welcoming. We sat by the bar, where Angel, the bartender, provided excellent service--attentive, friendly, and professional. The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The drinks were also fantastic--fresh, well-balanced, and a perfect complement to the meal. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making the entire dining experience even better.Overall, great service, great food, and a great vibe. I'll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend!

Came here a day before Valentine's Day. We always try to avoid the crowds and the set menus restaurants put the day of Valentine's. It was pouring rain outside and we arrived a little early for our reservation. We got seated right away. We started of with both my husband and I ordering a Paloma cocktail, I really enjoy the ones from here. Then for appetizer we ordered the empanada de viento, which are like empanada but they are so light and crispy stuffed with chorizo, shrimp and cabbage and nopales. They were delicious. Then for entrees my husband ordered the enchiladas de mole and I ordered the enchiladas verde de Camaron. My husband like his and they came with a side of white rice and some plantains. Mine came with white rice and black beans. My enchiladas I thinks were made with a flour tortilla which I do not like. As the tortilla tends to get soggy. The green sauce was ok , I would have preferred it a little more spicy. I ordered a side of chile ( the one served with the chips and salsa) . Had I known they were going to charge me $2 dollars for the side of chile I would not have ordered it. I can honestly say that the best part of my dinner was the appetizer and the drinks. Not sure if I would come back for the food again.

Great ambiance on a busy Friday night. The drinks were solid with a Passion Fruit Margarita and a Mezcal flavored one too. The chips and salsa with guacamole, although extra $$ were a great starter. Service was solid and they had a special tonight with a chile relleno stuffed with crab and shrimp. It was great with a crispy kale side and green beans. Different, but yummy.

Gabbi's Mexican Kitchen, located in Old Towne Orange, is probably my favorite place to eat in the area. It's mentioned in the Michelin guide and they have upscale Mexican food. You can't miss anything made with their masa. My strategy is typically to get a Margarita - I went with Passion Fruit - and a few appetizers. Their Al Pastor Gorditas are a show stopper. My wife really enjoyed the carnitas, which was served with rice and beans and warm corn tortillas. Their tacos are also good - I'd recommend the corn tortillas. While pricey, you get high quality here. If you like this place, their sister restaurant Chaak Kitchen is also amazing.

Came here with 5 people for lunch and the service and food were great! What a beautiful restaurant. First of all, their chips, salsa and added guacamole ($15) were so good! For our starter we had the taquitos, which were huge and had a good amount of shredded meat inside. I opted for their chicken enchiladas, and this came with 2 packed enchiladas, garlic rice which was so good and really delicious black beans. YUM! Filling dish but worth it ($23).Others in my group had the shrimp enchiladas, shrimp tacos, the seabass and steak burrito and we were all pleased. Will definitely be back to try their dinner!

We went to brunch last sunday and the service was amazing! We sat at the bar and the bartender made some excellent food recommendations and also made some craft cocktails that incorporated what we liked. He created this espresso martini, that was not overly sweet and more coffee based which is what we enjoy. The quesillo en salsa verde was so cheesy and tasty. The contrast between the crunchy, chicharon and the warm cheese was perfect. The chilaquiles came recommended by the bartender, and they did not disappoint. I would recommend adding a protein. Lastly the empanadas were a hit! The unique presentation of the flaky tortilla was so good and the filling was again a great contrast to the warm, delicious filling. The inside of the restaurant was cute and dim, which added to a intimate ambiance. We plan on coming back!

Found this when exploring Orange Old Town Circle.I thought the salsa verde was fantastic! The roasted tomatillo gives it a slight smokiness that makes it so unique. Everything else tasted really good including my passion fruit margarita. Staff was very cordial.I like the unique design of the restaurant, with glass decor on the walls. The playlist included awesome Colombian songs! Good job, DJ!Thanks for the hospitality.

Deeeeeelicious! I hadn't been to this area for a while and was pleasantly surprised to see all the new places popping up. Holy smokes, so good!First, the vibe was beautiful, great date spot. Service was attentive, even on a busy night. Food was awesome. I ordered the arrachera, their skirt steak on a bed of corn and veggies. Seasoned and cooked perfectly. The meat was tender, juicy, flavorful. Paired with a bite of grilled veggies, enjoyed every bite.Overall, great experience, looking forward to trying this place out again with the family.

3.75 stars rounding up. A cute restaurant in the historic Orange Circle with no sign. We had dinner there early Sunday evening. We had a party of 6 and had a cute round table near the front of the restaurant. First off we sat for a solid 10 minutes when we got sat waiting for service. We ordered guacamole so they brought, chips, guac and one salsa for 6 people. We had to ask for more salsa. Kind of clueless. With that said the salsa was excellent, I loved the roasted garlic flavor. The food was good, it didn't blow me away but everything was solid. I personally had the seafood pozole verde which was bright, fresh and spicy. Ample shrimp, fish cubes, clams and pozole filled the bowl. They need to chop the cilantro, the bowl was full of huge clumps of cilantro like baby trees in my soup. Also a couple ofTortillas on the side would have been nice to cut the citrus and spice.Wifey had taquitos which looked beautiful but the beef was extra smoky and took over the dish. Dessert was churros which stole the show and they serve their coffee as a French press which was excellent. Halfway through our meal the clueless hostess at the front pulled up the shade like the sun had gone down and literally blinded us and then pretended not to notice. We had to get another waiter to tell and busser to close it again which took several minutes. It definitely left a bad taste. Service was just ok, they def could step up their game.
