Fountain Valley Pizza D’Z

Came for a late Sunday lunch. We were seated right away.My daughter & I shared fried artichoke hearts & shrimp Alfredo on penne pasta.The Alfredo sauce was delicious and smooth. Lots of shrimp was on the pasta tooServer was prompt & attentive. Will come back with whole family

I was disappointed. I am leaving this review because I want them to do well, but I won't be back unless I see some changes.I stopped by because I was in the area and wanted a pizza by the slice, but it was a mistake coming here. This might be a good Italian restaurant, but I would rather go to Sbarros's for pizza.First, the advertising was misleading. They have a sign at the counter advertising "giant slice" for $8, but this is misleading because they also charge $1 extra per tipping. So, a pepperoni slice goes for $9, and a supreme slice would go for $16, and for this price, it's better to get a pan pizza from Domino's.Second, the service was slow. I was told that the wait would be 15 minutes, but I ended up waiting 40. I didn't want to yell at the employees because they were kids of college age, and I knew that they were truly doing their best. Unfortunately, I happened to stop by during a time when the owners were away, so other customers were dealing with erroneous charges on their receipts, which meant that the wait staff were preoccupied.Finally, the nail in the coffin: the pizza was only "just fine." It was not bad, buy if I'm paying so much and waiting so long, I expect it to be good.In short, this experience was not cheap, not fast, and not good, so I can't justify going back, even if I am in the area. (For a 40 minute wait, I could drive to Irvine for better and cheaper pizza by the slice.) I truly hope that they do well because the staff was super friendly and really doing their best. Quite frankly, I'm concerned that these college kids might not be working sustainable jobs if the service and product was expensive, slow, and mediocre

Passed by this place so many times before and I'm glad that we finally stopped by to try it! Fountain Valley Pizza D'Z is located on a strip shopping center right off of Slater and unless you are really looking for it, it could definitely be a hole in the wall - to evidenced by me having driven here and never batting an eye to it. Walking in, the vibe is really chill and we were taken care of right away. I let them know it was a to go order but they insisted on us taking a table to get seated while we order and wait for our food. How nice of them! While waiting, we were served jasmine tea which tasted really refreshing! Also, a promo at the time was Thai tea and when I asked, they were happy to oblige for our to go order! Their service at this point was already outstanding and the continued service and friendly attitude continued until we got our food.We ordered the D'Z Special with Pineapple added, the Z's pink sauce pasta with fettuccine and garlic cheese bread. All in all, the experience was absolute awesome and would definitely recommend!

I decided to phone in a to-go order while waiting for my son, as he was finishing up for track practice. We headed over to pick up our large pepperoni pizza and garlic breadsticks. I was offered either pizza sauce or meat sauce for the garlic breadsticks. I picked regular marinara and ranch. I ended up receiving marinara and meat sauce. I didn't feel like driving back and they didn't charge me for it, so no big deal. When I arrived the owner offered me some iced tea while waiting, which was nice. The staff was all friendly and trying to do a great job with their customers. The owner I believe was there helping out his staff, encouraging them, reassuring and praising them. The space was large and comfortable. My son and I enjoyed everything, even the marinara sauce was delicious! We will definitely be back!

Excellent Service. Christian is the Man!!! Authentic Italian dishes. Great prices. Ambience is superb. Even the restrooms are clean!!

Exciting place to visit! The atmosphere is nice with comfort seatings. Family friendly and got big tvs for sports . Creative pizzas and got the classics too.

The food took a considerable amount of time to arrive, and the service was rather slow. After the food arrive we didn't feel like eating anymore.

Came here with my small family of 3. The place itself was big, Nice clean spacey booths. We got the couples special that was around 30$ which came with a 14" pizza, salad and a large plate of spaghetti with garlic bread. Lots of food. The Pizza was perfect lots of toppings with no grease which hit the spot. Spaghetti was so good my 2 year old cleaned his plate so fast. Will definitely be coming back more often. The server that tended us was so nice and made you feel at home wish we could have remember her name to mention her!

A birthday surprise has us doing Pizza D'Z for takeout. We ordered the Family Special that included pepperoni pizza and spaghetti and garlic toast and a large portion of fresh house salad. We added beef lasagna and 2 extra Italian sausages. The takeout was ready, and the server was helpful and kind. A kind gesture had me take away an ice-cold Sprite. He also made sure we had plates and utensils. Once home, the birthday feast didn't take long for everyone to enjoy Pizza D'Z family special. It was a great birthday celebration.

Very nice wait staffFood was good and fresh. They forgot a topping on our pizza a they quickly corrected their mistake. Lunch specials are the best deal.
