This is a decent Filipino food place. It was hard to know what you're getting since the food was displayed without any labels. Kind of just got whatever looked interesting. * Grilled Pork BBQ 4/5 - Sweet and savory with a nice honey BBQ glaze. A little too sweet rather than savory. * Marinated Pork Belly? 4.5/5 - Not sure what this is actually called. Tasted like pork belly marinated in different spices. Tender with a good flavor.* Savory and Sour Beef Stew (Sinigang?) 2/5 - Generous amount of beef and onions, but very sour. * Turon (Banana Lumpia) 4/5 - Banana and Jackfruit lumpia deep fried and covered in a layer of brown sugar. The brown sugar layer was a bit bitter, maybe due to being overcooked. Regardless, this was a unique dish that I strangely enjoyed.

I was heading to St. Joe's when I spotted a sign just before turning onto Main. I wasn't sure if it was a Filipino restaurant, but my curiosity got the best of me. After my appointment, I made a beeline to the parking lot and there it was - FIL-AM BBQ GRILL! I couldn't wait to check it out! *grinning like a kid about to enter a candy store*The food looked fresh, as the trays had just been laid out. I tried the menudo and also gave the dinuguan a shot. The food was good and definitely satisfied my curiosity, but if I'm being honest, it wasn't anything that stood out in a way I'd rave about. Maybe it's a regional thing? As a Fil-Am, "Pinoy Food for me is Layf," but I understand that each region in the Philippines puts its own twist on classic dishes. Take adobo, for example--what we think of as "just adobo" in the U.S. can vary greatly across provinces, even though the base ingredients are the same. So, I'm guessing Fil-Am BBQ Grill's offerings may be influenced by a neighboring province in Luzon. The staff were incredibly friendly and warm, which I really appreciated. In California, where great customer service can sometimes be hard to come by, it's always refreshing to find a place with such a welcoming team. The restaurant itself isn't very large, but it's clean and well-lit, which I always appreciate. I'm picky about the ambiance, and good lighting and cleanliness really set the tone for a positive experience. All in all, Fil-Am BBQ Grill is a solid spot. Great staff, clean, and a welcoming atmosphere!

I'm so happy I found them! They're the same folks who use to be at the Orange mall. But since that place closed down, I wondered where they went! In my opinion, this location was way better for them so it worked out!!!It was my first time visiting this location but I've known about their yummy food and great service for over 10 years! Having their food again truly reminds me of being with family and having a home cooked meal. The place is in a great location with ample parking and lots of options. It's a quick service style (turo turo in Tagalog) so you just point to what you want. I can't wait to go back and try more items!

I'm not sure what happened. I got here at 10:30 a.m. and their sign says they are open. Online. Says they are open as well. But nobody is here. The door is locked. There is food waiting out in the buffet trays. But nobody comes to the door! How do businesses stay in business when they State they are open but the door is locked?! This is too bad!

Their prices for catering are doubled compared to other restaurants e.g Menudo at Seafood city is $45 only for the same half tray . But this resto charge $80. But still, I gave it a try but when I tasted the pansit, it was too salty and to my surprise, all their half trays (for menudo, pansit, ginatan) I ordered were smaller half trays compared to other resto catering. They charged more for lesser amount of food ($55 for pansit compared to $30 (Seafood City and others) I also ordered dessert (Ginatan $55 for a small half tray) but the pieces were cut carelessly (5 times bigger the actual size should be). The lady owner was rude to hung up on me after telling her what I noticed about their food and told me to buy somewhere else. I'm not even asking for a refund. OVERPRICED AND DISAPPOINTING.
