We ventured out to Santa Ana for some local flavor. We wanted some pozole, and my aunt knew the best hole-in-the-wall joint. Unfortunately, they couldn't just serve hominy with no meat, so we scooted one door over to La Rancherita. They only do to-go orders, but you can enjoy the rain and eat in your car like we did. They have all your "exotic" choices of pork skin, grinds, chicharron, tongue...etc. You're meal is prepared right in front of you, and it's done in seconds. Quick! This place is not just limited to the slaughter house cuts, they also have chilaquiles, enchiladas, combination plates and tortas!I had veggie torta for 4.25 and a pop for 1.25. Not the best torta I've had, but it was damn good! The prices are very good, and you still have extra money to buy their homemade tortillas.

I stopped going to the one in Westminster since the quality of the food was just getting really bad.I have been going to this place for years and I love their tacos. It isprobably one of the few places that everyone in our family agrees on and we are picky when it comes to eating Mexican food since my mom makes some bomb food. Anyhow, we always order a dozen carne asada tacos, a bag of carnitas, and of course order some fresh tortillas from their bakeryWhat I love about their tacos is that they are nice and big. Unlike the smaller taquerias where the taco fits right on the palm of your hand. Their salsa is also to die for and I love the little condiments they give you with every taco such as pickled onions and carrots. This place is just delicious!
