El Chilito

Okay, first of all only reason why I'm leaving such a low review is only because of food handling! The cook preparing the food is touching everything bare handed. I observed him walking back and forth touching various things. And coming back to the front to prepare the burrito i ordered without washing his hands. Very unsanitary. As for the food. I got a chicharon burrito and it was delicious! Great flavor. Once they get it together as far as being sanitary and start using gloves to prepare their food I may comeback. But for now, staying away. Very unfortunate that the simple smallest thing such as using gloves can go a long way in the food industry. Oh and one more thing. There is black mold on the roof of their bathroom. They might wanna check that out before someone gets sick.

Food is decent but waaay too overpriced for their portions. $20 (plus tax) for a fried tilapia plate is really expensive compared to other places in Tustin and Santa Ana. I was originally going to get that because it did look good when someone else got it, but because of the price I ended up going with a bowl of menudo instead. It was a super small portion for $15- I wasn't expecting anything crazy but it was average in taste & didn't even come with hominy, which is kind of disappointing. The broth was also really greasy, I left my spoon in for a few seconds and there was a chunk of fat solidifying around the handle. I should've taken a picture... Also, their street style tacos are $3.25 (plus tax) a piece! :/I have no problem paying more for good food as long as it's well deserved, and I totally understand inflation-- but to overcharge on food that isn't super costly to make is kind of a bummer.I would recommend Tacos El Patron in Anaheim for tacos and Taqueria El Gordito in Santa Ana OR Sarinana's Restaurant for everything else. Reasonable prices, crazy good food, and they're ALWAYS busy.Pros: authentic atmosphere, clean interior, friendly staff, food comes out fast, bathrooms available to the public, decent amount of menu optionsCons: overpriced, they never have tamales (even though they offer it on their menu), average food (not necessarily a con)

If you like Hot & Spicy , this is the place to go. I didn't like that they put salsa on Everything for you! I don't like hot So I had to Return my sopes even tho I said salsa on the SIDE ! They forgot then he was a bit annoyedOtherwise its clean has good variety But is a bit bland. Especially the Menudo!

Still amazing. So much happiness wrapped up in between a couple of tortilla. Come in and get down.

My wife and I came here in the afternoon around 330. Pm , I ordered a chicharron Burrito and my wife, the mole plate First thing we noticed is that the restaurant was very clean. The employees were very nice very respectful and professional. It was easy to make a decision. The food looks delicious and smells great. We did not have to wait until we had delicious food brought to our table after eating all I could think was wow such a great restaurant with such delicious food for a great price , I didn't even know it was here and I have lived in this area for a couple years now I guess hidden gem I give this place on a scale of one to 10 a 12. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody and everyone they want to come and get some nice delicious well prepared food. This is the place, it's right off the 55 as well and not far from the freeway I can't say good things about this restaurant. It's worth the trip if you're in the area or even a little ways away, I look forward to returning to try some more of their food.

For the month of May I went to make a purchase and well I'am so disappointed for a dinner plate what I got in return does not look like a fair amount and this stuff is not free so well excuse me hello?

As soon as I walked in I knew I was going to have some good real Mexican food. The gentleman in the front recommended some awesome tacos and I tried their fried fish. I'm definitely coming back because it was so delicious.

Over priced and small portions , I will say the food is good but its just a bit over priced for the portion they give out

Place is ok. The price for the plate was too much for the portion given. We ordered menudo had a great taste and good portion.

Asada meat did not taste good, the carnitas tasted like pork but lacked that wonderful authentic carnitas flavor. The menu hardly had any meat or hominy in it. Practically gave me a bowl of broth. Sorry but not returning
