Donut Star

My last review was taken down... not sure why. They said the email I got from yelp stated, "We're reaching out to let you know that our moderators removed the review and photos you posted to Donut Star because it didn't look like your content depicted an experience at this location."My original review, "Have been coming here (Donut Star on McFadden and Grand) for about 2 years. Hadn't been in a few months but recently I went and food was very poor quality. Food was extremely greasy, orange chicken had a different chipotle flavor, everything was extremely salty and I even found a piece of what appeared to be hard plastic in my food. Bf ordered similar items and green bean chicken and the green beans were so overcooked they were withered. Not going back."No longer have the images showing the unidentified object in my food so can't re-post those images.

I don't think I have ever seen a combination Donut and Chinese food store before but that is what this place is. I got the Orange Chicken and Mushroom Chicken and a Jelly filled donut for desert. The Chinese food was very tasty and the Donut was real good also. Fresh with lots of filling. I walked away full! I will be back.

I've been here a few times and they are always great. I like to buy donut holes in bulk for the students I work with and they are always super inexpensive here and taste great. Today I ordered 50 plus two extra donuts and they had them ready quickly, plus they have a drive thru. If you're looking for convenience and consistency in good donuts I would definitely recommend! Oh and they aren't stingy with their jelly filled! Super stuffed---I was in shock!

Great croissant. Also very friendly guy helped me get a dozen donuts. Looks like they also sell Chinese food which I didn't fox with but maybe next time.

I'm enjoying the environment. Great donuts,awesome food. Wife and daughter enjoy the meal as well family friend awesome to eat and socialize. Will come again

Been coming here for years for the chowmein and teriyaki chicken yum this is where I come when chinese food is on my mind

This place is amazing. Way better than Panda Express. Huge portions. Spicy orange chicken is AMAZEBALLS too.

Good morning everyone I just wanted to inform all of you once again that I have gone to this donut shop to get a donut and I noticed that they are letting people still sit inside even though the some places are already opening. This place has not followed the CDC regulations and feel they need to close. I will be notifying the authorities. The gentleman that works here in the AM shift is very rude sometimes and likes to over charge the customers from .10 to .50 cents. He has done that to me. It's not the money the key here is being honest and friendly with the customers.One more thing before I forget the gentleman the works there doesn't wear a mask and doesn't wear gloves either.

I will never come back here again...they are so inconsistent with donut prices...one day it's .90 cents...the next it's .99 cents. Even when I stated that yesterday it was cheaper! And yes it's only a few cents, but I do not like feeling I'm being taken advantage of...I don't care what the amount.My New Years Resolution was actually to have a fresh baked donut every morning, and I was coming here for a few weeks since it's the closest to my work...but there's a donut shop just a block away that only charges .75 cents for a chocolate twist donut. So I will be going there from now on. Oh and this shop also sells Asian food...as you can see from the main photo

This was my second time going here and it was so good I love the spicy orange chicken it's the best
