Parking was challenging. Busy busy shopping area. Nice variety of donuts but the boys gave me specific requests so I went with that. 8 yr old are the whole glazed donut. 5 yr old ate the whole top half of the glazed donut dipped in chocolate with colorful sprinkles. Anyone for a half eaten donut BOTTOM? So predictable. Thank you Donut Star!!!Ok, bye.

I was staying with my son, and he decided to get us donuts. This is one of his favorite donut shops. He brought me an old-fashioned donut with chocolate frosting. It was delicious! I really enjoyed it and would like to try other donuts next time.

Get there before food sells out but this place is the shit! My old man and I had half a dozen donuts and halved a fried rice and club panini and everything hit different. Donuts are perfectly flavored without hints of being too rich or cakey and the food while a tad greasy came perfect and felt relatively homemade. Would easily come back as it's open late has a ton of drink options and is great priced and joy should too!

Friendly and quick staff. Literally open allll the time. Sandwiches and cold beverage options also available. It's usually very fast paced with radio usually playing.

Let me save you the disappointment if you're here specifically for the old school stuffed ham & cheese croissants. They should specify if they have ham & cheese croissant or ham & cheese croissant sandwich. Because that's exactly what I got a cold, ham, cheese, croissant sandwich. I should have been skeptical that it was wrapped in paper but in my defense they said they JUST made it. So I assumed it was a hot baked stuffed ham & cheese croissant.It was not.

My favorite donut place ever. Donut star is a Irvine institution and has been around 20+ years, since I first moved here. The family running the store is very sweet and friendly. Their donuts have not decreased in quality in all the years I have been coming and it seems each year they expand their menu to include more things like sandwiches, smoothies, and now rice based dishes. Their prices also cannot be beat, which in a world of inflation, Donut Star makes not only your mouth abs stomach happy, but also your wallet.

Wow you guys I can't believe I'm back but I hope you can because I am.I've been away exploring new food around the city [so cal ] so I can deliver some seriously serious reviews and boy do I have a CHRONIC review for you regarding the donut star. So check this out they not only have regular delicious donuts but they have a secret delicious donutIt's actually not secret but rather it's so unsuspecting you wouldn't even maybe consider to get it but you absolutely must because it's extremely delicious and superior to every donut Shoutout donut star for being open literally all the time and these guys are steady on donuts and good ones at that so please come here and buy their donuts and be very kind to them of course and yeah thanks guys I'll write again soon .

Just as good of food as elsewhere. Go to a different donut shop and get the same thing. Except you don't have to get an attitude with it.To the female cashier that laughed in my face when I confronted you, thanks a lot. To the misleading menu, thanks a lot. To the female manager that couldn't give a rip, thanks a lot.Donut star just tried charging extra for something made up on the spot. I asked the cashier why it was extra to get the bagel toasted. I told her it wasn't on the menu. I corrected their mistake for the 50 cent made up charge. I know it may not sound like a big deal, but imagine if I bought a dozen. They still gave me a toasted bagel... which was the icing on the cake for me. That's what made me tell them both off. I'm glad I did.Laughable. Shady ways Donut Star.But hey! I guess it was National **** This Dumb White Guy Day... LMFAO. Do yourself a favor and don't support this business. Ralphs bagels are half the price and don't come with a side of attitude.
