Beer and soju weren't options given to us. Children loved the spicy chicken wings. I liked the beef dish I didn't catch the name of. I recommend the sizzling soup but not the cold roast beef plate. I went here for a first birthday party. It didn't look dirty inside. My friends loved the shrimp and twisted steamed buns. My table asked for rice but never received any. No one greeted us to be seated. The chopped kimchi was great. The restaurant wasn't smelly. They didn't refill our teapot or water pitcher. We started off with two kinds of mustardy jellyfish dishes. Wish there was banchan and barley tea.

Korean owned Chinese restaurant. The place is pretty big, good for the party. Taste is just okay. Jjam bbong is good. Now they start to serve some Chinese & Korean dishes at $3.99. So I tried Soon tofu. I didn't expect that much, but for the price, it's pretty good. It's a full size of seafood tofu.. and it comes with 2 kimchi and egg.If you find cheap eat in GG, it is worth checking out!-. free delivery in GG-. have Japanese menu.... (not recommend)

It's a little confusing when you are suppose to meet the family at Dong Bo Sung, behind the Hanmi Bank and no address given. Finally found the correct Hanmi bank, but where is Dong Bo Sung? The front of this restaurant does not say Dong Bo Sung; the sign out front says L.A. Catering and Boiling Seafood (See pic). First thought when you arrive, is this a dive Chinese restaurant? Once you walk into the place, it opens up to a large roomy banquet restaurant. Typically with me after stressing finding this place, I had to order a drink quickly. We ordered two large bottles of Hite beer and two bottles of soju. So with seven drinkers at the table, the two bottles of Hite were gone, so we ordered two more large bottles, but were told they were out of the large bottles and only had the small ones. A restaurant that runs out of beer? Heck, they make three to four hundred percent on a bottle, and they are out? Okay, I still needed more than one glass full, so bring on the small bottles. (-1 star) As we were ordering our food, the waitress (ajumma) walks away, not once, but twice. (-1.5 star) We ordered the Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Broccoli Chicken, Cold Jelly Fish, crab, Three Seas Delicacies and the 60pc Sushi Platter. Mind you, this is for 9 adults and 5 kids. I didn't like the Mongolian Beef or the crab. It would have been better if the food was hotter when served (-1 star), but what do I know about serving Chinese food. I pigged out the sushi and orange chicken. The place was clean, three flat screen TV's, typical large round tables with 10 chairs, but we joined two tables together. As the other reviewers stated, the food variety is mainly Chinese, some Korean and a little bit of Japanese (mainly Sushi & Sashimi).

Mehhhh is how I feel about this place. We came in at 7:30 on Wednesday night and it was absolutely empty! It was hard the find and the sign says "LA CATERING" in bigger letters and "Dragon Palace" below it in smaller letters. The decor is odd but apparently they do wedding receptions so idk?The service was decent and the food is pretty cheap buuuut the food was meh. We both got medium-spiced tofu soup and it was pretty bland. It was spiced with some kind of oil that kept us both coughing but it didn't really add much flavor to the broth. Overall, the food just needs some work and they need to update their website because it's confusing and I have no idea when they open or close. So yeah, mehhhh.

Update: 3/21/07 - I'm going to add a star because their Spicy Chicken (rah-jo-gee) is so freaking good! I love their fried rice and fried dumplings. I think they're better with entrees than with the noodle dishes. Plus they got rid of that nasty sashimi-roll thing. ----------------------------------------------------------Look for the sign that says "LA Catering" on top of "Dragon Palace." You can tell the place is semi-new because the inside is clean and spacious. They have a main dining area and a separate area for parties. Everything seems nice and clean, but I admit I haven't been to their restrooms. They serve a sashimi-filled spring roll as an appetizer. For the love of god, DON'T eat it!! I think they took the cheapest raw fish they could find and threw it in some rice paper. It's enough to ruin your appetite. They have good jiajiangmyun and chambbong. I like their noodles even though they don't seem hand-made. The owner told the table next to us that they don't use MSG. I think I believe her. If you can't decide between jiajiangmyun and chambbong, go with the chambbong. The soup broth isn't too heavy, and it has the right amount of spice. Their tang-soo-yook [sweet and sour pork] was mediocre. The meat was semi-tender, but the sauce was all wrong...too watery and not enough flavor. Service is good, and the decor is better than most Korean/Chinese places. The food is just okay. Nothing special. Maybe it's the surroundings, but I expected more. I'll probably come back for a bowl of MSG-free jiajiangmyun, but I'll pass on the entrees.

I would have never found this place if it were not for my friends inviting me here. We had a yummy eight course Korean-inspired Chinese style meal. The food is pretty decent. Nothing spectacular nothing wow-ing but still pretty good.Cold plate - w/ thinly sliced Chinese style roast beef cold cut, jelly fish, and shrimp sliced in half (pretty good combination and the beef slices were really yummy)Green onion stir-fry beef - my fav dish of the night - not too salty or oily at all and really good flavor. The beef was tender and it was seasoned really well.Sizzling rice soup w/ three fresh ingredients - it was very tasty, although the rice didn't sizzle. The soup was not overly salty. There was shrimp, chicken and lots of veggies in the soup, which was yummy.battered pork in sweet and sour sauce - surprisingly this sweet and sour dish was not a bright red color. I liked it up until they brought out another dish that was extremely similar...battered shrimp in some kind of a weird sauce - I took one bite of the shrimp and thought it was so much like the battered pork in sweet and sour sauce dish and didn't know why in the banquet meal they would have two fried dishes like this one and thought it was totally redundant.Bok choy stir-fried w/ bamboo and a tiny little bit of sea cucumber - it was a delicious dish and I am sure it would have been even more delicious if they added more sea cucumber. Steamed plain twisty buns - YUMMY - I must have had three of these little buns. Very yummy. You can buy them at Asian markets but for some reason, it was so good that night.Fried sesami dessert balls w/ red beans inside - very warm inside very fragrant and really good.Fried rice - simple and good.kimchee appetizer plate - pretty typical Korean fare w/o the really spicy twist, which is good since not everyone eats that spicy.Unlike a "real" Chinese banquet, there was no "live" fish, or "live seafood like lobster or crab - perhaps for cost reasons or maybe that's just the tradition? but there was quite a bit of shrimp dishes, which was interesting. Either way, it was quite an intersting experience for me since I'd never had a Korean-inspired Chinese banquet meal before and it was quite interesting. Although the food did not wow, it didn't disappoint.

This place is a hidden gem. On weekdays the tofu soups are just 5.99 from 10:30-11:00. They taste just as good as the more expensive and waay more crowded tofu places. I go here every few weeks with my mom and we also order the clam noodle soup which is served in a super sized bowl with close to 30 clams! Delicious :)

Place is just good enough for a big, cheap party since the food is pretty good; my personal faves are the Chachiang Kuksu ($3.99), Combo Chicken on their special menu, and also the Fish Filet with Garlic Sauce. If ya want a huge variety of cheap asian fusion cuisine, then this is ur go-to place! They've got Vietnamese pho, Korean tofu soup and cold buckwheat noodles, to a wide array of popular Chinese dishes and Japanese sushi with udon. Sounds good, eh?
