Updated review- tldr: Still slaps after all these years; and an updated menu. Consistently solid.(For what it's worth, I actually counted through my various credit card statements and was able to confirm I've been at least 22 times since May 2017)--Food- 4.5/5I ordered the Wing Combo B (4 wings, fries, and soda).Wings (Sweet Spicy)This was a massive nostalgia bomb for me taking my first bite of sweet spicy crunchicken. This place has always had a special perfect crunch to their korean fried chicken that other places don't, which puts it into a league of its own from a breading perspective.I have tried most of the other sauces and I would say sweet spicy is still the classic must-have here. Only after you've had it would it be worth branching out. I honestly do like their BBQ but I would say honey garlic is a bit too sweet to me. The soy garlic is good too but honestly none of them are as good as the sweet spicy in my opinion. If I wanted not sweet spicy I'd probably go somewhere else like Furai Chicken. The only thing I did notice is the sweet spicy is not even really a little bit spicy anymore. Maybe it was the day I went because it was never all that spicy to begin with, but when I come back I will probably stick with the extra sweet spicy. And would recommend it to anyone who actually wants a kick.Fries - 3/5Pretty alright McDonalds style fries if you know what I mean, but never been on par with the chicken. They have ketchup packets to go with it. Overall, I prefer the cole slaw still.Cole Slaw - 4/5Creamy goes good with just about all of the sauces.Radish - 4/5They used to always hand out radish without asking... so it was weird having to go to the counter after getting my head to beg for some. The radish was good but would have gone better had I ordered the extra and spicy.--Service & Experience - 4/5Visited on Mon, Feb 3rd at 7PM, it was very slow (no customers came in while I was there but they did take one phone order). And I would say overall the service was friendly and efficient, if not extraordinary. They do have free ice cream inside which I didn't try this time.--Ambiance - 4/5Very casual restaurant still and nicer than it was before they rebuilt but a lot of stuff is the same including the ice cream machine. It was very quiet an hour before closing... you can definitely take your time eating (a previous visit I even saw someone on their laptop watching a movie while eating lol).--Detailed ThoughtBack in 2016/2017, this place replaced Krazy Smokey Teriyaki which was one of my favorite places and the closing of which still haunts me to this day. Luckily, it was replaced with Crunchicken and I fell in love with this place as my new local spot until they had a fire incident. It took years to re-open but which point I had moved away. I was in the area for the first time in a while and boy am I happy it's back. It was just as good as always. And that's why it earns 5 stars in my book, 4.5/5 chicken 10/10 consistency.Side note: For those who had been before, it's worth pointing out the menu has been though when they re-opened the restaurant changed the menu/combos quite a bit (compare the original photos I uploaded to what I uploaded now).

A while back, my husband and I took Katella Avenue on both our trips to and from Disneyland, mainly to explore interesting restaurants along the way. Few months ago, we stumbled upon a fried chicken spot with a quirky name. After checking out the reviews (which were excellent), we decided to give it a try.The owner of this fried chicken place seems to be run by Korean, and the vibe reminded me of those small neighborhood chicken places in Seoul. We ordered half a chicken (5 pieces) for $14.99, which came with a small side of pickled radish. Although the wait was a bit long, the chicken was fried so well--super crispy and flavorful. We chose the Extra Sweet Spicy sauce, which the staff recommended. It was absolutely delicious and not spicy at all!Surprisingly, they also serve fried rice (with bits of sausage!), and the price is incredibly reasonable. A small portion, which even comes with a side of teriyaki sauce, costs just $5.99. Honestly, that kind of pricing is hard to find in Southern California! They also sell frozen fried chicken (perfect for reheating in an air fryer at home) and Jayone frozen kimbap for $3.99 each, the same price as local Korean supermarkets. If you dine in, there's free soft-serve ice cream (you can refill it yourself, though the container is one of those small sauce cups). They also have a water dispenser for self-service and provide wet wipes, which is always a nice touch. The only downside? No restroom!Overall, we really enjoyed the food and will definitely return for their fried chicken. Crunchicken11513 Knott Ave, Cypress, CA 90630

I was really craving some chicken today and saw this place wasn't really too far from my work so I decided to check this place out. Located in a strip mall there is plenty of parking around so no hassle there. The restaurant and seating area itself is pretty spacious. I walked up and was debating between a chicken bowl and the tenders and opted to get the 4pc chicken tender combo that came with fries and a drink. Altogether it was around $15. Lady that took the order was nice and food took about 5-10 mins. I decided to get the sauce on the side which was the honey garlic sauce. Opening the box I was surprised that there was more than 4 pieces and was pretty happy about that! The pieces looked absolutely crunchy and the fries looked great but how did it taste?...I am happy to report that this is some pretty damn good chicken! Crunchy to the bite and once dipped in the honey garlic sauce, it was savory and delicious. The fries were crunchy as well and tasted really good! For the price I paid I have to admit with the amount of food received it's almost a steal (even with the hyperinflation... lol) the tenders were delicious and would definitely order again! It looked like this place is family owned so I can't recommend it more if you need a chicken fix! Definitely get it here!!

Chicken was super crispy (not oily) but a little dry. I got the soy garlic sauce on the tenders and it was absolutely delicious! The portions are huge. Fries and onion rings were crispy and delicious. Not oily at all. Paid .99 cents for ranch (which was hidden valley). The house sauce that comes on the chicken sandwich was delicious! Recommend getting that instead of the ranch. Service was friendly and food was brought to our table. Inside was clean. They offered us free soft serve ice cream before leaving but we were so full we passed. Next time!

Found this little gym when I was on my way from a store. I love Korean fried chicken so when I found out that this place is only 10 minutes away. I just placed an order for pick up and never regretted that decision.Parking is plenty in their plaza, and they were able to accommodate fresh food just in time with my eta arrival.Would love to come back next time!

A chicken lovers gemThis place is located in the corner of a little shopping center, you may overlook it when you're passing by. But you shouldn't. Their chicken tasted amazing. Perfectly crusted, juicy and full of flavor. They had reasonable prices and their portion size fit with a charge. Looks like a small little mom and pop shop, but don't let that dissuade you from their awesome flavors. The one thing that I did like about them, is that they do sell wings to go. So if you want to look like, just buy some of their wings, fry them up and serve them and let your company be amazed. If I'm in the area, I will definitely revisit this place. Not to mention they give you a free ice cream when you come in. What more do you want?

I've been going to Crunchicken for years, and it's hands down my go-to spot for Korean fried chicken! I recently got the 8-piece wings with the sauce on the side, and they did not disappoint. Their honey garlic sauce is a must-try--perfect balance of sweet and savory. The wings are super crispy, and the chicken is always juicy. They also throw in free pickled radishes on the side, which is a nice touch. If you're hosting a party, their trays are awesome too! I would also recommend the fries and deluxe chicken sandwich. Plenty of parking and great service! There's also tables inside if you want to eat there too. Plus, they have a free self-serve vanilla ice cream machine that's so good. Overall, it's a local gem that never lets me down! I highly recommend this place!

Crunchicken deserves your business. I've ordered food to go from their restaurant several times now, and the chicken tenders are consistently crispy and delicious. Both the spicy soy garlic and also the chili garlic are fantastic flavors - I'd recommend getting the sauce on the side to keep the food nice and crispy for the drive home. The owners also are incredibly kind and easy going, and I enjoy coming to this business. I will definitely continue to be a repeat customer moving forward.

I'm glad Crunchicken was able to successfully reopen because the food here is so good. The interior is a nice improvement from what it used to be. I also see their menu has expanded.Korean fried chicken in general is amazing, if you've never had it before then this place has some great chicken. Very crispy, flaky and meat cooked very well. The prices have about doubled since my last review,However those are fairly standard Korean fried chicken prices IMO no matter where you go.The service is always friendly and a big plus for the free soft serve if you're into vanilla soft serve.
