Crispy Rougamo

Wow! Just Wow!Salty-sweet roast pork on acrispy flaky pastry bun. I will be back to try the beef and the lamb. The secret star of my order was the chicken bites. The were made to order with light crispy coating, a hint of 5-spice, and were cooked just right. They only cost $9.00 and the portion was mire than double what you would get from somewhere like chick-fil-a. Nomatter what you get here, make sure you add an order of the chicken bites.

Randomly found this place searching popcorn chicken! Popcorn chicken was probably one of these ones I've ever had - and that's me saying that after I've been to Taiwan. The rougamo beef was delicious too - reminded me of Vietnamese shaking beef. Price was really affordable as well. I would definitely come back. PS they accept card but anything under $20 is a $.50 fee.

I ordered one of the crispy rougamo with braised pork and one order of the pickled cabbage for under $12, which I think is a great deal because it left me so full. The braised pork filling was so flavorful and the pastry was so crispy and flakey. Service was great. The cashier helped me out with some good recommendations since it was my first time there. I also didn't have to wait long for my order to be ready after placing my order. I always appreciate that.

Service was good and we tried something new! We had never had this type of bread with meat filling before. The outside was crisp and flakey and the meat was full of flavor!

Got takeout and the food is delicious even the next day! Hits the spot if you want a snack.Lamb rougamo: good and flaky. The meat to bread ratio was good (of course I would always love more meat). It lacked a little flavoring. I was hoping for a good spicy/cumin flavor.Popcorn chicken: crispy and tasty. Would be nice if they sold boba to go with this.Pickled vegetables: I always love getting this when I visit restaurants. Here it was more sweet and sesame oil came through. I prefer the one at Capital Seafood but this was good as well and helped to cut the oiliness from the other dishes.Service/ambience: always busy when I pass by. Cafe-like vibes. The food was done quickly.Parking: it's a little hard because the plaza has a lot of good stores. There is always people coming and going so you just have to be patient.

I had to give Crispy Rougamo a try when I came to this strip mall. Truth be told, I didn't know it was here. I got a feeling it is tailored to serve food to go, while it does have a few tables to dine in. I was surprised to see the Wait-list kiosk not working, and no iPad for self-help ordering. I had to wait in line to place my order to-go. I waited about 10 minutes before it's my turn as there was only one person taking orders. This are several popular restaurants at this strip mall so parking can be challenging at times.The good part of my experience was the food. I ordered a beef and a lamb Rougamo to go. They came out piping hot and delicious. The sticker on the box left no doubt what's inside. The rougamo are flaky, juicy and yum yum good. Yes, I'll be back for quality food despite everything else.

Food is super tasty and fresh! They only serve the breakfast menu in the morning and the regular menu starts at 11am. Highlights of what we got- pork rougamo: super flaky and crispy buns. The pork filling is very flavorful- fried egg and chives bun: filling is so yummy and the outside is crispy and fresh- popcorn chicken: got this to-go so it was not as crispy as it could be the the flavor is on pointService was great. The servers were really friendly. Interior is new and clean.

I ordered their popcorn chicken and pork roujiamo to go. Both were good. The roujiamo was reasonably priced at $5.99 and the pork was juicy. The popcorn chicken flavor was on point. I would come back when nearby to try their other items.

My family loves Rou jia mo so I was super excited to see that this new spot opened up!The plaza has easy parking. The store has ample seating as well. You order at your table via a QR code and pay at the cash register on your way out. The staff here is super friendly and it feels super homey. They serve breakfast in the morning that looks delicious but I got here too late to enjoy it, so I'll have to come earlier next time. I just got one pork rou jia mo for myself to try and I was pleasantly surprised. The flavor of the meat is really good but it did have a bit too much fatty meat for my liking. The bun is super crispy but also a bit too oily for my liking. I think they could work on the balance of it more but it's definitely one of the better ones I've had at a restaurant.

I have tried this place a few times and found their congee was well priced. The first few times it was a good size 16 oz of congee, this is a normal size. Now they have downsized and they give you an 8oz coffee cup of congee. Don't go to this place, they scam you and the server was extremely rude!!!
