I've been a loyal fan of Cortinas for years, but this was my first time visiting this location. It's a little storefront near a bunch of collision repair shops, with a few tables inside and some outdoor seating at the front. They're open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays, but due to its popularity, parking can be tricky during lunchtime. Our favorites are the Cortina's Special (a mix of cold cuts with Italian dressing) and the Rocky Balboa (warm roast pork with broccoli rabe, served with au jus for dipping). Both sandwiches come in 6 or 10 inches, and the 6-inch is the perfect portion for a satisfying lunch. When dining in, you order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area!

I bought an Italian Hero sandwich for lunch at Cortina's Orange, a deli known for its classic Italian flavors. The overall experience was satisfying, with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. Although there were no special surprises, it did show the charm of traditional Italian sandwichesIn terms of atmosphere, although the store is mainly for takeout, the environment is clean and orderly, and the open kitchen allows people to directly see the preparation process of the ingredients, adding a sense of trust. There was a large flow of customers during the lunch period, but the ordering process was efficient, the overall flow design was reasonable, and the waiting time was not longIn terms of food, Italian Hero uses high-quality deli meats, and the flavors of ham, salami and Italian sausage are balanced, paired with fresh lettuce, tomatoes and cheddar cheese, with a rich taste. The bread is slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, which can absorb the sauce well without affecting the overall structure. In terms of seasoning, the ratio of olive oil and red wine vinegar is moderate, which makes the flavor level more prominentIn terms of service, the staff is skilled and efficient, and they can still maintain a good pace and patience despite the lunch rush. However, due to the large number of customers, the communication space for personalized customization is limited. If the interaction with customers can be slightly strengthened, the experience will be further improvedIn summary, Cortina's Orange is a recommended Italian delicatessen that provides high-quality classic sandwiches. Whether it is a quick lunch or a casual gathering, this is a good choice. Although the overall performance is stable, if the details are improved, such as the temperature control of the bread or the optimization of the layering of the side dishes, it may bring a more amazing experience

Yeah, it's a great sandwich. It's been years since I've been to Cortina's. I've only visited the Anaheim location, but Orange is less chaotic and we were feeling like sandwiches today so we went for it.1130 is still a solid time to visit. The food arrived quickly and we were able to find seating without an issue. The sandwiches prices have definitely gone up, but they are pretty large so it you at least get a very full meal out of them. No major complaints from the table. Overall, all the food was enjoyed. I probably have the biggest gripe-I was the only one that got a hot sandwich, the chicken marinara, and my biggest issue is that it was at best lukewarm so the temperature was just not right. Cheese wasn't melted enough. It could've used some extra time warming it up however they do it. This is not the type of sandwich you want to eat at room temperature. It still tasted good and the bread is fantastic. Now that I returned, I want to run through the menu some more and knock out some other items. But let's be honest, the real reason I'll be coming back is because of the black cherry soda, which is delicious. If you've been there, you know. Most of people seem to get it. It's definitely a thing.

This is a review specifically for getting delivery of Cortina's through the Yelp app. Put simply, it doesn't work. My food never arrived, and the ChowNow people who process the delivery were literally no help at all, and I am just going to have to dispute the charge with my credit card company for services not rendered.

Friends have been recommending Cortina's for years. It's in an industrial section of Orange (just off Katella). The sandwich & other food options are wide and the buns are excellent with a soft inside and crispy outside. As you can see by the menu pics I've posted, they have such a great selection. The prices are fair - the 6" sandwich is actually very filling - even for me. If I buy the 12", I'd be bringing most of the extra home.Service was great. Very fast. Very friendly. They get real busy as you get closer to lunch, but the staff does a great job keeping up with crowds. The ambience is fun. Casual and a great place to meet up with friends. They have an outdoor patio facing the street which is comfy for those who prefer the open atmosphere.I had the pastrami sandwich and while the meat was trimmed well and very juicy, I'm not a fan compared to the taste of a few other places. But I was not unhappy. It was still good. Just next time, I will try others - like the meatball or steak!Good selection of soft drinks and free refills if you need one.Well worth a visit if you're nearby!

We were closer to the Orange location than the Anaheim one. We ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with extra mushrooms . The sandwich was very temperate hot and tasty. It definitely hit the spot. They were still pretty busy at 2pm with dine in, Togo, and call-in orders. So, it did take about 20 mins for our order which is normal for the other location in Anaheim taking up to 30 mins. Pro Tip: the Orange location does not have pizza. If you are craving pizza, you need to go to the Anaheim location. Another difference is that the Orange location has more outdoor seating with shade.

Had a bit of a wait for my sandwich after I ordered.I had the six inch pastrami sandwich with chips and a soda. The sandwich was quite tasty and I was comfortably full afterwards.Men's washroom was clean and had paper towels available... good. However the men's washroom was designed for only one person... not so good.I have a bone to pick with the personal appearance of some of the employees. I noticed that most of the guys working there wore their shirts untucked which I consider to be unprofessional. If I was to assign a letter grade to this establishment like a grade in school, this place would be in there solid with a B.

Italian sandwiches close to work?? Dangerous. Lol but just tried Cortina's for the first time after a coworker said he's been going there since high school. Now these weren't the same kind sandwiches I had in Italy (I'd say the main difference was the bread - they use more baguette style loaves), but they were so good. I tried the caprese and Rocky Balboa - these 10 inch sandwiches are huge, only half is plenty for me for lunch. The caprese was amazing, the pesto mayo is really what sold me. The Rocky was good as well, never heard of broccolini in a sandwich! The pork was a little fatty for me so it was a heavier sandwich to eat for lunch but to each their own. My only complaint is the price - we ordered on Yelp and each sandwich came out to about $20 after tax and tip which is kinda absurd to me. Regardless, Cortina's definitely knows how to make a good sandwich and the work crew will be getting lunch from here in the near future. We were all very satisfied with our meal. If you choose to eat there, there's a few tables inside but also a decent sized outdoor area!

Is there a better sandwich place? There's some great ones in Orange and the surrounding areas but Cortina's is the best one IMO. I always get the Italian sandwich (Cortina's Special) and sometimes the meatball or italian sausage - all absolutely delicious! Cortina's Special is such a great italian sandwich. The bread is always fresh and perfectly soft with a flakey crispiness to it. Plenty of meat with a strong provolone that I love. Just a great sandwich! Honestly my only complaint is that they aren't open on weekends. Definitely recommend ordering ahead because it can get super busy during the lunch rush. We just order in the AM for pickup and it's ready when we get there.
