Com Tam Thien Hao

I would say this is the best restaurant for Com Tam from my own experience. I ordered Com Tam Suon Bi Tau Hu Ky (BBQ Pork Chop, Shredded skin, and Fried Shrimp Cake) as usual but this time I added a fried egg to it. It was amazing as usual and I have been returning to this restaurant multiple times whenever I crave some Com Tam.The staff are nice. The wait might be long as it is quite popular so be prepared to wait if you go during busy times or go as a big group since this restaurant is a bit small.Though, I strongly recommend this restaurant if you haven't tried Com Tam before or are craving it just like me!

Food was good. I ordered the com tam bi cha suon nuong with tau hu ky and my mom had the com tam bi cha suon nuong. We were both satisfied with our meals. My kids shared with me. I thought I was going to order more rice to go with the protein but my kids enjoyed the protein without the extra rice. There was definitely an abundance of protein. My only complaint is that the tau hu ky was not really shrimp paste. It was more of a pork cha.Service was decent. We came right before the lunch rush so we're seated immediately. Food came out pretty timely so no complaints there.The space was quite tight. There was not much space between the table we sat at and the table next to us. My daughter was in a high chair and there were inconsiderate people we sat next to that wouldn't move so I could pay for my check but it wasn't the fault of the restaurant. Anyways, I'd definitely come back again!

The food is no doubt very good.The pork is nicely seasoned, and perfectly grilled. The fish sauce is perfect. I definitely recommend the food here.The restaurant is a bit small, so order to go is best.Service is alright.

My Vietnamese friend recommended this one to me when I ask about the best broken rice places. I had a noodle bowl and a broken rice plate. The portion is huge. And they are delicious. Will come again.

This is more on the high end cost for broken rice dish. I used to go here often yrs ago cause the foods tasted great, and it still great but the price has been increased. For this special dish with hot tea and tip I ended up paying almost $30. The service is great, helpful and friendly. The place is small but cozy and with the smell of grilled meats surrounding that just makes you hungry faster.

This is the best broken rice we have ever been to. The staff is very nice and friendly. Thanks for giving us the best experience. We will be back when we visit California again!!

In the mood for com tam? This is the spot to try, you can smell their thit nuong ( grilled pork) from the street. Their pricing is a little on the higher side but they give great portions. Weekends can be busy so prepare to wait . They're closed on Tuesday as well. Definitely give Thien Hao a try if you haven't yet.

I really like my rice plate here. A lot of meat. Not spacious for a wheelchair but wheelchair accessible bathroom. Service was excellent.

This place is has THE BEST broken rice dishes. Ever since discovering this restaurant month ago, I have been here several times already! The meats are grilled fresh, amazing char flavor, portions are extremely generous too. I like their number 41 combo, it has a delicious variety of grilled meats. I always have left overs to take home. The service is fast, easy parking in their lot.

A jewel in a strip mall on the corner of Beach and Trask, this restaurant is a local favorite. You will always find a line and a waiting list outside. And the food is always worth the wait. The barbecue pork dishes are the house specialties and they are all delicious. The Pho is great too. Highly recommend!
