Great service and freshly cooked food. Well seasoned and cooked to order. Food is at the right temperature and is served quite efficiently. Good, free parking access. Affordable dining and the family enjoyed the meal. We come here when we want a delicious Chinese meal and they never disappoint.

Wonderful location in the plaza near where the oldDMV was. There are two rooms, one with boothsand one for banquets. The menu is huge. All your favorites are there. Theprices are reasonable. The service depends on if you are a local, they love you. Newbees like us, we got "What do you want?" Not rude, but alsonot friendly. The food came quickly. Everything is turning out to be good. It tasted just as I remember Chinese food tasting all my life. The sweet and sour pork was heavy breaded and deep fried chewy chunks of pork, drenched in an ultra sweet sauce with onionsand bell peppers. A few pieces of pineapple were there. I'm sure the chef has been doing the same thing, the same way for thirty or forty years. It's old school Chinese food. Lot's of sauce loaded with salt and sugar. The way I remember Chinese food as a child. I give this place three stars. I love old school Chinesefood. If someone invited me, I would go.

The hostess didn't listen to a single word I said. She just denied the table and started talking to another party waiting for a table. Even through she was still adding people to the waitlist even if that courtesy was not available to me. I'm guessing business must be good. They pick and choose their clients. I can think of a few factors they use to make that determination. Thankfully, we are no longer in an era where that matters anymore - I have brought countless people to this restaurant and recommended them heavily. For the food, not the service. But this has clearly crossed the line and frankly, it may be due. The place is run down anyway. With all the new exciting Chinese restaurants open in irvine and even Lake Forrest now; I don't think anyone is missing this place at all. The rundown carpet and disgusting bathrooms can fade away into the annals of history where they belong.

Just what it sounds like A classic Chinese restaurant with all of the Chinese dishes you know and love. This is one of my grandparents' favorites with quality food and service. I highly recommend the chef's special beef, it had great flavor and the beef was cooked to perfection. The service is quick but make sure to arrive on the early side for lunch (before 12 pm) so you don't have to wait!

If you are in Laguna Hills area and looking for good Chinese food, specifically Cantonese, this spot is it! Wait can be a bit long but it's worth it. Parking is great here. There used to be a DMV in the plaza, but they closed down. This means you can park with ease and not have to worry about doing laps around the block. My favorite dish is the Beef Lo Mein and Spicy Fish Filet. Pair that with some spices and white rice... yums! Their menu is quite extensive like an overachiever who writes their final paper, front and back. I recently learned that they expanded to another section next door which is separate from their main small seating area. Not sure when this happened but it can accommodate large parties. I would suggest you call in early to check availability. Will come back and try other dishes since there is so much to choose from! See you in line.

Nice place for quick service Chinese food with traditional dishes. We ordered family style and the best thing we really enjoyed was the house Lo mein that came with chicken, port, and shrimp. It was a large portion and the noodles were tasty. The cashew chicken was tasty but had too many bell peppers for my taste. The sauce and chicken were pretty good though. The house fried rice was pretty tasteless. I should have asked for chili sauce to give it some more taste but didn't. It wasn't too bad either. THE WALNUT CHICKEN is more like an appetizer but was delicious. This place is clean and quick but the service is very fast and to the point. If that's what you like then no problem. They don't offer iced water or anything for that matter unless you ask. However, they do have a nice hot pot of jasmine tea to help yourself to. They also tended to hover over our table and talk loudly in conversation amongst themselves which seemed odd but nonetheless the food wasn't bad. If you want to eat for lunch and get in n out quickly then this might be a good place to try.

I just bought half a roast duck and packed it up. When I took it back to the car, I opened and found only a few pieces! It's not my first time to this restaurant, but the first time I packed it up. The portion is far different from that of dining in. It's obviously only a quarter of the roast duck. The most annoying thing is that my first thought is that the restaurant chef just misread the order, so I went back to the restaurant to find the waiter for confirmation. To my great surprise, the waiter confirmed that this was half a roast duck!!I can't believe that such a big restaurant would cheat customers like this. I won't say anything else. Everyone should be careful when choosing this restaurant! If I could give 0 stars, I would give 0.

I visited Classic Chinese Restaurant recently and was slightly dissapointed. The menu had a wide variety of beef, chicken, seafood, and vegetable dishes. We ordered a few dishes. The majority tofu lacked seasoning and the sauce seemed watery. The fish with vegetables dish lacked flavor as well. The sweet and sour pork was a little bit too breaded and fatty. The inside of the restaurant had a lot of seating. The service was okay.

We came around 30 minutes after opening and by the time we were finishing our meal it was a full house with people waiting to be seated! I loved the steamed fish fillet with green onion and ginger.

Was there for a bday and the host booked the the private dining room. Food was very good. Clean and better than a lot of other places in Irvine (esp since Sam Woo closed) for Cantonese banquet style cuisine. My parents approved.
