We thought this place was outstanding! We wanted to go to the BBQ place but wait was over an hour even tho we were in line before they opened. We left the line and walked here. Best decision ever. Everyone was so nice! Place was empty. Good for us. We sat right away. Served right away. Food was superb!! We had a party of 5 and no one had any complaints. Skip the BBQ place and come here. You won't regret it!

Outstanding! We had the lasagna and it was delicious. Very authentic Italian restaurant. A little noisy on the inside, so we would sit on the patio next time. Will definitely go back.

Never been to Italy but their food tasted like it would be an authentic Italian restaurant. Everything we had was so delicious even the complimentary bread and olive dip was tasty.Meatballs, pomodoro sauce and burrata combo for appetizers were 4/5. I was hoping for more burrata.Pizza crust was perfect, the spicy salami and Italian sausage had a good kick to it.Pappardelle with truffle was my favorite. Pasta was al dente and the amount of cream was the right amount for my liking. Our server was very quick and attentive, always filled our drinks. We sat on the patio and were a perfect day for lunch out.

Ciao pasta is a great spot in south Orange County to get Italian with a good vibe. I'm all about the ambiance when it comes to Italian food and this place is decent for a family or friend meal. Feels more like a home type of place. The service here was solid and the food came out hot and ready to eat. I would give this place another go. Cheers!

I was in need of finding something I was halfway between Orange County and Oceanside. I discovered Ciao Pasta in San Juan Capistrano. This charming eatery is a testament to the authentic Italian dining. Upon entering, I was greeted by the warm and inviting ambiance that promised an evening of delightful indulgence. The selection of local California wines. For starters we prosciutto with mozzarella wasThe lemon pasta was al dente, coated in a light and zesty lemon sauce, was a refreshing twist on a classic dish.

Very good experience! The service was great, as we were in a rush and they understood & catered to that timing. The food came out fast, and fresh! The ambiance is very romantic outside, and modern indoors. A great Italian place to go to on a date or with the family!

Ordered the chicken piccatta and was very pleased with it. Their bread comes with olive spread which was delicious! Great tagliatelle and their salad looks great. Beautiful space to eat, San Juan Capistrano is an easy delight. Perfect weather in the dead of California weather. I guess my star count doesn't go to 4 because the waitress/server/hostess (not sure what her job was) was noticeably unwelcoming. I didn't really mind, but my mama in law noticed, and that says alot. Service is everything!

We've been to Naples a couple times in the past two years while cruising the Mediterranean on Royal Caribbean (Symphony and Odyssey of the Seas) -- where the Margherita Pizza was INVENTED -- and last night at our favorite local Italian restaurant "Ciao Pasta" I ordered their "Diavola" pizza and let me tell you unequivocally that this was the MOST authentic and DELICIOUS Napoli (Naples style) pizza I have EVER eaten here in our local region of South Orange County!!If I were a food critic I would rate this a 10/10 as it was utterly PERFECTION in terms of the puffy (perimeter) crust, the tomato sauces, the Mozzarella cheese and the INCREDIBLE toppings ... I told the owner (who is originally from southern Italy) on the way out that it was THE most authentic Napoli-style pizza I've ever eaten in America and actually even better (in MY personal opinion) than any pizza I recall eating while vacationing in Italia!! I cannot more HIGHLY recommend their pizza ... gonna try their Margherita version next time!
