conveniently located close to the hotel we were staying at - the ChoDang Tofu & BBQ sign caught our eyes when driving past the plaza! i haven't heard of this spot previously but when we saw that Raina had been there before, we knew it would be good!!we usually order the galbi-tang especially for the cold weather! it gave such a great home food feeling! the short ribs were soft - the meat came off with ease. the soup was flavorful but not overbearing where it also felt clean. we ordered calamari and fried dumplings as well to try. personally would've been ok without the dumplings bc they were a bit oily but the calamari was crispy and delicious!

Total including tax and tip for tofu soup and combo special was $50, so I think prices might be a couple dollars less than Kaju or BCD. The service was soooooo slow though. Like pretty sure I spent an hour fifteen to hour thirty there. Slow to seat, slow to get order, slow to get food, slow to get bill. You get the idea. The tofu soup was normal and not spicy at all even though one soup was the one level below spiciest. The bibimbap was very nuanced and flavorful, so would recommend that. The ban Chan was very limited especially considering they had a video playing in the background showing soooo much more ban Chan. Maybe lunch v dinner is different but it was disappointing all the same. Also disappointing: the reason I had bookmarked ChoDang was because of the build your own tofu soup; they did not have any order sheets available. Subsequently, we were informed it was not available that day. Presentation is interesting because it's very individualized which is a change from the family style portion and presentation. So overall the one redeeming factor of the visit was the bibimbap but after the stacking of the visits multiple disappointments, I don't see myself ever going out of my way to Cho Dang again.

The pictures they put on the menu are so misleading. I ordered beef tofu soup and beef bulgogi. When I got the foods I was totally shocked . Soup---The beef is so tiny and couldn't barely see in the soup..like invisible beef. What a joke!!! No mushroom or zucchini as described on the menu either. The side dishes are so little for just one bite. I didn't bother eating the side dish because it also looked old. Kimchi looked really aged and macaroni salad didn't look fresh either. Usually the soup comes with egg but the waitress didn't give us egg. I didn't bother asking her because she was so slow slow. Asked for water refills and never got it. Beef bulgogi---the portion was so small and beef tasted really dry. Sorry!! Your food isn't good. Terrible service!!! Wait forever to get food & drink. The restaurant wasn't busy but the waitress took forever to bring the water nor taking the order. It gave me weird vide. She never asked how was the food either. Bad experience here.

Located in a small strip mall. Parking can be tough. Space is clean and new. Descent stream of customers so I believe the food should be descent.Got the T4 short ribs inside the tofu soup. Short ribs were chewy. That's why I got the one star less.Tofu itself was good. $19 for this but disappointed by the chewy short ribs inside. I'd like to come back and get their kbbq but not something I'd immediately come back for.All tofu soups are $15 which is a great price for the soup and ban chon

Great food, great service, great ambiance! It was my first time eating here over the weekend. The food came out relatively quickly and everything tasted great. Granted we walked in shortly after they opened for the day, the restaurant including the tables and chairs was very clean and tidy. The waitress who served us was so friendly and accommodating. She stopped by every so often to check on us to see if we needed anything which was a breath of fresh air compared to other places where the servers leave you out to dry after you place your order. And those servers still have the nerve to expect a good tip, smh.The menu is big and features many different items to choose from apart from soon tofu. Which means there are plenty reasons to come back!

ChoDang gives me all the warm and cozy vibes! They're serving up classicly homey Korean dishes that in my opinion, make up the perfect fall meal. On this particular visit, I wanted to try something different and opted for their Hot Pot Bulgogi. Served in a stone pot, this dish features beef bulgogi, starch noodles, cabbage, carrots, mushroom, and tons of onion. A super flavorful, hearty, and filling meal! Will note that the food does stay super hot throughout the entire meal due to the pot. Proceed with caution and be sure to cool off each bite!

When it's cold outside, tofu soup is always a good idea! Chodang is a tofu & bbq spot that specializes in tofu soup and also serves Korean comfort classics. Their galbi was flavorful, super tender, and paired well with their egg butter rice. They even had some unique options like their bacon cheese potato pancake!

As we were craving some soondubu, we visited Chodang Tofu & BBQ, thinking that it's just like any other Korean restaurant--BUT we were pleasantly shocked! Yes the menu is pretty standard, but we thoroughly enjoyed every single item that we ate plus the interior felt very modern, clean, and sleek. Even the leftovers we took home were devoured with no crumbs left behind on the SAME day (unheard of for us). Special shoutout to the seafood pajeon! AMAZING!Interestingly, there were multiple people enjoying a solo lunch inside as well (my social anxiety could never). Make sure to come visit for a delicious, hearty meal! food:* C1 combo: kimchi beef tofu soup + galbi - tofu soup came boiling and was delicious! lots on silken tofu and kimchi! i love the sour and spicy taste * B1: bibimbap - beautiful assortment of seasoned veggies! fried sunny side up egg and crispy rice is a godsend this is the first bibimbap that i ever took home and actually ate it afterwards as leftovers. usually they get soggy and don't taste so good anymore * P2: seafood pancake - THE BEST!!! since visiting korea, i've always craved seafood pancake as good as the one i've had in Gyeongju. i'd say this is pretty close! it was so crispy and deliciousssss. i am still craving this at this moment * banchan/side dishes - pretty similar to other Korean establishments. i really like the kimchi here since it's on the sweeter side notes:* everyday 11am-10pm * parking - lots of parking in plaza! * seating - maybe on the smaller side, but you should be able to find a table easily during lunch hours!

Not the cheapest restaurant in the area but one of the cleanest, most quality Korean places in the area. Specializing in cold noodle and tofu soup sundubu.Portion size is about average, servers are very nice but the flavor is top notch. Sundubu here is much better than BCD or other chains with more flavor and ingredients (the cheese sundubu is very cheesy). The cold noodle is a good sized portion. A favorite with us was the unassuming sounding potato pancake. Turned out with good texture and a lot of bacon and cheese, pretty tasty.

More like a 4.5, but I'll round up. I went here a couple months ago, and there were about 4 tofu soups on the menu. They've since updated their menu and it is similar to other tofu houses, with some unique options like tomato and cheese. I like the mala soup and could myself coming here just for that since I don't know of other places that serve it. They also offer a custom menu where you can build your own soup. The intestine soup was also pretty good and they put a good amount of meat in the soup. I think they could increase the spiciness of their soup, but overall it's a solid dish. Service was good and I like how they offer wipes at the end of the table. The tables are pretty spacious so you don't feel cramped with all the dishes and banchan.
