China Bowl Express

I've tried a lot of Chinese food places and for most, their food is too heavy or gets me bloated. Here at Chinese Bowl Express, I definitely feel it is way more fresh compared to others, their food is quite light, AAANNNDD their prices are sooo reasonable. I mean a dozen cream cheese wontons for $5!! FIVE DOLLARS! Every time I go they're consistently making new batches of food. They are also vegetarian friendly - which are bonus points from me bc I'm vegetarian. Everything is so tasty and they are very quick with their service. It's usually not busy - I've gone at different times of the day and no line. However, there have been occasions where the line is to the door, rare, but does happen.

Been coming here for a few years, overall, it's an inexpensive & the food is edible. However, like one of the reviewers mentioned in the past, the older asian lady tends to spit while talking or taking orders. If someone accidentally spits on the food while talking, I would be concerned about its cleanliness and safety. That's why I never go into the restaurant nowadays if I see the older asian lady working at the counter serving food. I really hate writing bad reviews. It sucks! But today I went to China bowl express in fountain Valley. it started by the greeting I could tell it wasn't gonna go good. I ordered the beef and broccoli and it was at the bottom of the pan so I asked the lady would there be more coming out. She said in 10 minutes so I waited 10 minutes. Thinking that she was going to give me more. So I said to her all I want is more broccoli. When I got home, I noticed she charged me for two items she had charged me for more broccoli. But what she gave me was not even one item. But the problem is while I waited for 10 minutes. and noticed how she made other items. Nice big portions. But for some reason, mine was half the portion and double the price.

First off the the service was second to none. Very respectful & kind. I didn't know this place was all cash & she said no worries next time you pay. The food was awesome perfectly seasoned. Very clean place with good vibes . Can't wait to come back and pay back the favor. Highly recommended

I really like going here because it's close to the grocery store that I frequent but today there was a lady who helped me at the counter and she was so hostile for absolutely no reason at all that I wanted to leave while I was making the orders. maybe you should ask someone else to do this job if you don't like it. I'm not sure I will be coming back. Fy lady

I came here super hungry after a nice walk at Mile Square Regional Park across the street. I was debating between Waba Grill and this place, so I opted for some legit local Chinese fast food. It's a tiny place with a few tables, steam trays of entrees and a small fridge to buy drinks. While it's cash only, be prepared to have at least a $10 bill to satisfy one meal or have a few 1s or 5s in hand. (For party tray orders, have your 20s ready). It's fairly cheap because it was a little over $8 for a two-item combo. I opted for their Combo B (two items): Chow Mein with Orange Chicken and Chicken with Mixed Vegetables. Despite their busyness, the owner's son was still very attentive to their customers. They were busy in the kitchen preparing party tray orders and filling up the remaining food on the steam trays before they close for the day. In terms of their food, their portions were generous for a full meal. I am fond of their chow mein because it was flavorful and not too greasy. I really like the sweetness and crunchy texture of their orange chicken. Thankfully it was not spicy (unlike Panda Express) and it was not too sweet. The chicken with mixed vegetables was kinda cold (probably because it was sitting there for an hour or so) but at least it was still savory and satisfied my vegetable fix. I will come back here again, especially if I'll be craving some quick and tasty Chinese fast food.

Small decent fast Chinese food across from Fountain Valley Regional Hospital. My dad loved their Orange chicken and always wanted to stop by after a doctor's appointment. Crazy deal on Monday $2.99 for many a la carte items. Nice patient employees take the time to explain everything to my dad.

Cash only spot, reasonably priced and foods great. Like to get their party trays to share at potlucks which im doing tomorrow.

Hong Kong takeout/Chinese bowl express, Foods is tasty and good and for the price is a great deal. Great place to stop for lunch a couple times a week or to bring home takeout dinner. Thanks, they're very friendlySincerely, Jc
