food: absolutely delicious! definitely plan on coming back again to try more of their menu, our order tasted fresh and hit the spot for quick brunch! service: super friendly! asked about their fried eggs and they let me know they're cooked through but may have some yolk. really appreciated that!! ambiance: super cute and aesthetic cafe, came around 1:30 PM on a friday and there was plenty of seating available. just be wary of parking since it is on 2nd street.

my cold brew with sugar free chocolate syrup was good. they offered multiple sugar free options which I always appreciate. I thought it was pricey. My friend got an iced latte with whole milk and said it was decent but not notable. the barista recommended him the supreme croissant which he enjoyed although messy and there was a long wait for. it was served with an unspecified dipping sauce. The atmosphere was nice - there were books to read, plants, string lights, and wall decor. the interior was small with some seating. its in a good location with lots of stores around. they have lots of specialty drinks I would love to try. I hope to be back to report my thoughts on those!

Came here to do some work and grab breakfast/drink, and I ordered matcha latte with almond milk and ultimate breakfast sandwich with sourdough (has egg, cheese, bacon, greens, pesto). The sandwich was a solid breakfast sandwich, nothing particularly special but it's solid. Matcha is tasty tooProbably best to try one of their specialty or coffee latte drinks so will need to try that next time!Overall nice and cozy space that's good for hanging out or working. They even have wheelchair accessibility which I thought was really cool

Excellent.My brother got an eggnog latte and loved it. It was on the sweeter side. About the sugar cookie latte. It was great He got a bagel and lox and thought it was pretty good,I got the ultimate croissant sandwich. It was a little bland, but it also didn't use the mayo and Sriracha on the side. I'll definitely be back for the coffee For the two drinks and the two sandwiches it was $50. So it's a little pricey. Cute inside and roomy. We sat outside for good people watching

Chapter 2 took over the previous spot. Honestly the rebrand and the remodel is great. It's way more inviting and its bright. Surprisingly, they have a lot of menu items to choose from including breakfast and lunch items. I tried their specialty decaf pumpkin latte, definitely one of my favs on 2nd. I highly recommend checking it out.

I am not usually a coffee person, but every once in a while I like to indulge in a decadent coffee treat that tastes more like dessert than coffee. The black sesame latte at Chapter II is FANTASTIC. I have also tried the Nutella latte which is even more decadent, but was honestly a little too sweet even for me. If you have a big sweet tooth, you'll love it. Staff are friendly and I appreciate that they have menu items like these that you don't find anywhere else in LB.

Stopped by yesterday (9/5) 30-40 minutes before closing to end my birthday! Usually I'm nervous to step into a business before they close, but I had seen this place on yelp and really wanted to try it. My boyfriend got the s'mores latte and it was so good!! It tastes like an actual smore lol at least in my opinion it did. I got an açaí bowl, usually I don't eat it with coconut but I completely forgot to ask for it without it, it was still good. It satisfied my craving 100%!The baristas were also super sweet and patient with us, being our first time. It was really hot in the store, it felt like there was no AC. Even stepping outside, the sun was super bright but not as hot as it was inside.I checked in on yelp and got 15% (originally $20) and since we paid with cash, we got another small discount taking it down to $16. 10/10 recommend, we're gonna go back when it gets cold and get the s'more drink but this time hot!

Chapter II is stacked with caffeine and baked goodies. I recently stopped by to grab a bite after visiting a nearby plant store. This coffee shop is located on 2nd Street in Long Beach. Their outdoor patio is shaded, comfortable, and offering prime seating for people watching. I ordered the Ube Latte with oat milk, a cranberry muffin, and a turkey sandwich. This Ube latte with so unique and memorable. The perfect addition to my Saturday afternoon! Highly recommend giving this spot a try.

My hubby and I frequent 2nd Street often on a Sunday and we've passed this coffee spot always wanting to give it a try (we've typically already gotten coffee in Seal Beach at Javatini before LB). Well today was the day tie double caffeine. My hubby got a triple shot espresso and I, the pumpkin cloud iced and a warmed ham and cheese croissant. When I say that pumpkin drink was delish, I mean I drank the large I. 2.7 seconds delish! The cold foam is hazelnut and it added such a burst of yumminess to the drink. Mmm The croissant itself was absolutely perfect. Reminded me of one in Paris, flaky, buttery and soft. The ham and cheese would've been better if spread throughout vs just in the center. Still yummy but probably wouldn't get fit $7.50. The staff were very helpful with a suggestion (pumpkin drink) and friendly as we entered and left. The place itself is decorated nicely and has many spots to enjoy your beverage at. With tables and chairs inside and out. We DEFINITELY will be back! I'm bummed the pumpkin drink is seasonal though.

Cold Foam Nutella Latte 10/10 - great balance of Nutella chocolate and coffee flavor - I don't like coffee but I would be willing to drink again (my friends drink) Iced Chai Latte 10/10 - one of my favorite chais I've had - On the sweeter side, not too spicy and a good creamy consistency - I used almond milk Pesto Chicken Sandwich 9/10 - used sourdough bread - Wish it had more pesto - Chicken was cooked to perfection - Good blend of ingredientsThis is a must try coffee shop on Belmont Shore! They have a variety of different drinks and food items to try, you're bound to find something that peeks your tastebuds interest. The service is amazing, the cashier recommended drinks and food items to us and gave us his honest opinion. The workers are friendly and all provide great service. The inside was very clean, the aesthetic was giving inside garden. It's not too busy or noisy inside allowing people to come work and study. The drinks and food did not leave me disappointed! My friend and I left really satisfied with our choices.
