Carnitas San Juan

Really yummy tacos de surtido, mix of carnitas and cueritos. Also tried the spicy consomé Super delicious though. And tacos de chorizo were algo good. It's a little hole in the wall restaurant but those are the best! They also have a lot of Mexican sodas, Jarritos, coke etc. They don't have any seating at the moment so everything is to go. Cashier was so nice and sweet! We got like 6 tacos and it was about $20. Not bad for the big portion they give. I was able to make 4 tacos out of 2 since they give two tortillas and a lot of meat!

Unfortunately I went to order Carnitas and there was a grotesques smell coming from inside were the meat was. Noticed on the sides not clean at all or sanitized so I had to walk out! THIS IS A GORDAN RAMSEY NIGHTMARE!

Wow wow wow let me just say their red hot sauce is not for the weak!! You will grow some hair on your chest while enjoying that sucker.They do not skimp on the meat, I would have been full with just two tacos. I do wish the carnitas and queritos would have been a bit more crispy but overall it was a super tasty meal. Price wise it is the same as any of the more popular mexican places but these tacos are larger/have more meat.Limited seating which didn't bother me since I took them to go.

Hmm.. Last minute decision due to convenience. I ordered a torta ahogada and ended up regretting my decision to dine here after it was too late. They have so many choices of meats to choose from and a large menu to order from. The torta ahogada was not what I was used. Very tasty but very spicy. In fact, so spicy it was overwhelming! And I have a really high heat tolerance when it comes to spiciness. But that's no reason for regret. I was worried about my health after eating here and observing the cook failing to wash his hands properly after handling raw meet, then cooked meat. Simply wiping his hands on the towel to take my card and charge me for lunch and then going back to the cooked meat and then raw meat and back and forth again... Can you say "health inspector?" I'll never go back again. Hope you have an iron stomach like me. You've been warned.

I wanted to eat some bomb tacos de carnitas and my mom suggested this place. Its in small shopping center on euclid and palm st. When i saw the place i thought it was closed i asked my mom twice if she was sure the place was open lol. The place looks old inside and out. We walked in and the place is super small. They have tables but they're the foldable type. I only tried the carnitas. I ordered 4 but only ate 3 because they're huge. I ordered mine mix (surtido). The tacos are regular size tortillas, the carne, cilantro, and onions top with either red or green sauce. You sit and eat and you pay after you eat. From what i only saw they only had soda in bottle, and Kern's. For 8 tacos and 3 drinks i paid 28.00 dllrs. I left satisfied! We got there right before the line got long. Not a place for someone thats a clean freak but if you don't mind and like to grub then enjoy.

Just moved over here and it was cute and authentic but I wanted Cabra and they seemed to advertise it everywhere but all they offer yesterday was pork. It was a big taco and pretty good just a little fatty but it's pork so I can't complain.

Been here two times now. I was, and still kind of am, kind of skeptical about this place when it comes to sanitation. The first time I went there, nothing was covering the chicharron and as a result there were flies coming in and out of the container it was in. The meat is basically all together so I wouldn't be surprised if I got a little of a different type of meat, and I actually like that. The tacos I got were amazing. I hate cueros(fatty pieces) but when I found some on my tacos u actually didn't mind because of all the meat in them. There was so much meat I couldn't feel the cueros. The salsa they use is hot as hell so be warned. Their choices of meat are not small. If I were to rate it in flavor alone it would've been 5 stars for sure. But overall I still feel like a health inspector would have a field day here! However the fact that I willingly came back should say a lot am I right?

First time trying these tacos and they were delicious I was getting full after one .Each taco was probably over a pound! And the chicharon was also delicious! Come hungry and leave full!

The food hands down is the best. The tacos here are like mountains there that big. I order 3 but only finish 2. The ice cold coke cola oh man what else can you wash the tacos done but with a nice cold coke cola. Best carnitas in town I promise you that.

Food's alright, I've been to cheaper places though.Be sure to try the tortas, they're coo.
