Cafe Artist Restaurant

I've been going to Artist for the last three decades, and let me tell you, it's been my favorite spot since the '90s. So when my teenage daughter casually mentions she wants balut, I thought, "Why not?"--and next thing you know, I'm hauling all three teenage girls here before the place even opens to make sure it's still family-friendly. Cuz... the later it gets, the rowdier it gets. If you know what I mean.....The food? Never disappoints. It's like Vietnamese street food, but without the risk of getting hit by a motorbike. I feel so proud knowing I'm raising these kids right, introducing them to the culinary delights of balut and all the deliciousness this place has to offer. Love the food. Love the super casual vibe. The service is fast. It just reminds me of going to a house party in the 90s. Good wholesome fun! Hahaha

Been going here for years and you can never go wrong with their food ! After the remodel , I'm glad the food still didn't change

Food đồ nhậu khỏi bàn 10 điểm.This o.g place is one of those Vietnamese eat and drink eatery place that you can just come and hang out watch yo games with couple of cold one. Food here is delicious and the flavors is very consistent. Service friendly,fast and efficient.

best quan nhau in the area. much better looking now after their remodel and they made it more family friendly I guess. even though it's still a quan nhau/ sports lounge to me. food is fantastic though, nothing bad to say about the food ever. favorites are favorites for a season. if you don't know what to get, just ask the servers what they recommend. their recommendations are always spot on too. artist can accommodate large parties. we had table of 20 here before for a birthday.

Always amazing service and food here. Love the steaks and crawfish also clams as well. In all. Have never had a bad experience here. Love this place

Been going here for about a decade. At this point it is my comfort food spot. Everyone in garden grove knows cafe artist. If you're craving for a Vietnamese street food/ seafood. You need to visit.Service are good and the place can be super crowded on games day.If you love the Vietnamese street ambience, this is your place .

Went here during week for dinner. It wasn't busy, got seated right away. The place is completely different how it look on the pictures. This is not kids friendly place. Ambiance is more like bar or reminds me street bars in Asian. Anyways, got seated outside because we have kids and people was smoking inside. Good thing they heater outside. Service is not great. We were seated outside so we have to wave down the servers multiple times. They also forgot one of our order.The food was okay. The food is more bar food.Fried frog legs and bo loc lac with noodles was really good. The sizzling plate steak it was okay, it's juicy but it's not seasoned well. Definitely not coming back here. You

1. The steak smelled amazing, and it continue to cook on the skillet! The sauce that came with the seafood also had some heat in the spice level!2. The spot has fun casual vibes that was remodeled to have more modern aesthetics!3. The lady that pick up my phone order was very rude, fire her, bad business. This happen at 9pm on 11-1-24

The menu said bo luc lac come with fries or rice but when i called them they told me they never serve with rice. Just bo luc lac by itself. I asked the girl answer me phone to confirm it again and she said yea, they doesnt serve bo luc lac with rice.... Paid $46 for these food. Waste of money!!! Never comeback here again !!!!
