"This was a surprise for me - I had never heard of this restaurant. Upon arrival the seating seemed a bit too open for my taste but I adjusted and it was fine . They have a great whisky list and the wine list is pretty good as well. I do need to take a moment to silence for the Wagyu steak. It was so good! They give you a soy egg sauce for dipping if you'd like and it's pretty tasty. Staff was very informative and attentive throughout the meal. I can't wait to go back."
"Really enjoyed my Sunday lunch here.We were the only customers here around 1pm but people started trickling in thereafter.Live pianist was playing and he was good. You can make reservations for outside patio on Reesy online. I think outside seating is preferred but with live music I think either are great. Enjoyed my coffee, lasagna, and tried the branzino--all of which was great. Service and view were great and I see myself coming back for dinner sometime."
"We had a great experience ordering food for take out from Orange Curry. We went into the shop not knowing much and taking up a lot of their time trying to decide what to order. They never tried to rush us and were super accommodating and polite, offering us samples from the steam table. We ordered many different items: aloo gobi (cauliflower potato), palak paneer (spinach cheese), chicken tikka masala, daal (lentils), goat curry, rice, naan. Everything tasted really good! Some a little more spicy (palak paneer) than others but not bad really and a mild/medium on the spice scale. Pro tip: add sour cream or plain yogurt and it pairs so well while toning down the spice.Orange Curry is a great way to try Indian food if you're new to it since they offer samples. It's also great for take out since the portions are huge! and there's limited seating (3 tables). Mango Lassi (mango yogurt smoothie) is so good. Super filling so share with another person of you won't be able to eat your dinner!"

My weekly lunch buddy and Ilanded here this lunchtime. I had noticed it in Peter's Landing on my way up to Seal Beach. I was intrigued by the name and when I mentioned it to JP he said "it is one of our favorites ".I love the location, right in the Marina, looking out on the moored pleasure craft. The restaurant itself is light and bright and high-ceilings. The menu was fairly typical for South Asian food, and I was looking forward to having my sinuses cleaned out by powerful curries and spice. The waiter was very pleasant and helpful and we selected the lamb curry for me, and the beef for JP.The platters were visually beautiful, but totally lacking in heat or spice. The lamb was delicious and perfectly stewed but I tasted no curry at all.I am still giving this restaurant 5 stars. The view, the service, the ambiance, the beauty of the presentation. It is not as though there are plenty of actual Himalayans looking for the taste of their homeland to keep the shop afloat, when most of their customers in Sunset Beach are plenty white!

Great spot in Brea! They also have a Huntington Beach location. The food is always really good! I'm a fan of the kabobs and their small bites are really good.Definitely get the Tzatziki! This location seems to always be pretty busy, I've been for lunch and dinner. The outside patio is nice, if you come during the day. It's very cute inside and nicely decorated. Both times I've been to this location the service has been kind of unwelcoming. Not rude or bad by any means, just kind of straight to the point and rushed. The tables in the middle section are also kind of crammed in. Maybe move the two top out from in between the two four tops. Or only seat people there when you're at capacity.Would still definitely come again, just know what to expect! Would also be a fantastic take out option!

The low rating is due to the taste of food NOT the service. Our waiter was wonderful and the hostess greeted as enthusiastically. I set reservations to celebrate my birthday with my girlfriends and we were able to sit outside by the fire pit. It was pretty empty when we came and the location is a bit odd as it's between business complexes. You'll have to park in the structure but the restaurant will validate your ticket! The dishes we got were mostly misses which is quite unfortunate. It went kinda downhill after the appetizers. Appetizers were pretty solid but we were not fans of the entrees we ordered.Scallop crudo (4/5): personally my favorite of the night as it was citrusy and refreshing. One of my friends did not enjoy it as much as I did bc it was too citrusy for her.Salmon crudo (3/5): salmon was fresh and tastes like salmon poke but I didn't think it paired well with the sweet potato chips bc the chips weren't crispy enough. Crab and shrimp linguine (4/5): standard linguine pasta, thought it was good but nothing mind blowing.Wagyu crispy noodle (1/5): tooooo salty that it was not enjoyable even if the meat used was wagyu. Kind of reminded me of Vietnamese crispy birdnest noodles but gentrified... and no veggies just edible flowers that didn't really add anything to the dish. Unfortunately don't think I will be back for the food taste.

Nice place with a great view. The service is solid. The food is good with quality ingredients. Having been there for dinner, lunch, and a special occasion in the private room in the back, I'd recommend this place for lunch. The salads are really meant for a single person. The sandwich and pizza we shared sitting at the bar was good. The Branzino I had at dinner was cooked well, you're going to need to order a side or two with this. The standout is the calamari and shrimp appetizer. Definitely order this.

Forgot to take pictures - but the Goat Curry and Black Pepper Chicken curry were divine! They also give you quite a bit of basmati rice so be prepared for that :)Service was quick and easy, and they're open on Christmas and New Year's Day!The overall ambiance was typical of an Indian restaurant, and the inside was small, so many people get their food for take out :)

We like this place for Vietnamese catfish. It was called "Starfish Restaurant" before but they changed the name because it was similar to an Asian fusion restaurant in Laguna Beach. It's now called "Alise Restaurant & Banquet", and is located in Fountain Valley. We were craving catfish before going to Irvine Spectrum. Our first thought was going to this place because we have been there many times. We got there before 1:30 p.m. and then we ordered a small-size catfish ($35) for both of us. (note: We should have ordered ahead of time before we got there, the server informed us that we had to wait 45 minutes but we still wanted to wait) While waiting, we ordered the egg rolls ($9.99) as appetizer, they tasted heavenly and so crispy & crunchy! About 45 minutes later, our fish dish came and it looked amazing and it was not that small. We used the rice paper to wrap the fish meat, lettuce, cucumber, sliced carrots, and noodles (it came with the complimentary small dish of rice noodles), after I wrapped it then I dipped it into the delicious fish sauce. The fish sauce tasted authentic as usual. The fish cooked perfectly and we liked that it had a lot of peanuts, green onions, and fried garlic! hubby and I both finished the whole fish but we were soooo full! Too bad we don't have any good and authentic Vietnamese catfish in SGV (tried the one in Rosemead but it was okay) so we always go to OC to have authentic catfish.FYI, small-size catfish is enough for 2-3 people, medium-size catfish costs $45 (4-5 people) and we ordered large-size catfish for about 5-6 people in the past. They also have many different kinds of Vietnamese food on the menu.

Excellent Omakase! My wife and I really enjoyed the service and the sushi. We really liked the oysters and the shishito pepper appetizer to start. Great option in Pacific City

Came with our friends who live near by. We live in Vegas and trusted their recommendation. Glad we did! We were a party of 12 and our server was on it!! We even had a gluten allergy and it was not a problem. The chips & salsa and drink refills were plentiful and our food came out reasonably quick for such a large party. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE absolutely lived their food. My husband and I shared a steak quesadilla and I ate one of my friends corn tortillas w a smear of all the guac & some salsa that came w the quesadilla and it was so good! Very fresh. We ordered 2 plates of churros for the table and they were a hit as well. This was one of the best Mexican restaurants we've ever been to. If you want delicious Mexican cuisine with excellent service...here ya go!

"The food is tasty, staffs are nice and friendly. I like the outdoor street food at night. They also accept EBT."
"The first time I came here during opening week, it was packed, and I thought, "Okay, this is cute" but it didn't immediately make me want to go again. Fast forward to yesterday--Sunday lunch at 12:30 p.m.--and the place was emptier than my social calendar after a breakup. Vibes? Off. My mom immediately asked me, "What's wrong with this place?" and I told her, "Oh, it's still early. It'll pick up." It didn't and Mama noticed. We were the only people in the entire restaurant. The food? Decent. The sashimi was chef's kiss--fresh and tasty. The cooked food? Eh, better luck next time- "You're just doing too much." If you come, definitely stick to the sushi and sashimi; they've got that down. Simple. Beautiful cuts. Fresh wasabi. As for the price, prepare to pay like you're dining oceanfront--except there's no ocean in sight. The space is gorgeous, service is great, but you're mostly paying for the Pacific City zip code and the view of... I think the Pasea????Final verdict: Beautiful bougie decor perfect for the Gram, good sashimi and sushi but don't expect your wallet to leave happy. Im not sure what it is about Kai but... it just felt off. Overall, maybe bring your Ex's credit card because I wouldn't want to front this bill on my own."
"I have been coming here for a long time and still everything is good . The prices are still good and the service is usually prompt. They still have the biggest and best tasting tacos around."
"We stumbled upon this restaurant coming back from visiting our friends in Corona. It was on the way home, and I needed to use the restroom. It was also a good time to stop and get the dogs out of the car for a little walk. After stopping, I decided I was hungry :) Checked their menu real quick to make sure they could accommodate my gluten allergy they could! Great service, and I would say good BBQ. I had the baby back ribs and the smoked 1/4 chicken... And in my opinion, those were the best option. My husband tried brisket, tri-tip and St Louis Ribs. For what it was, it was good and I'm happy to support a local restaurant that isn't a chain- however, our best friend is the best meat smoker I've ever met so I'm a little spoiled when it comes to BBQ."
"Went here for a girls night and i absolutely adored the ambiance and vibe of this place. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable and skilled in their craft. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, i felt like i was visiting my friend's home. We had 5 different cocktails and i was blown away by each one!! Each drink is crafted with passion and perfection. Their cocktails are amazing, but don't sleep on their delicious food. We devoured the guac/ceviche and the rack of lamb. The unique twists and out of the box foods are definitely worth trying! Such a wonderful and fun experience, definitely can't wait to go back."
