"I have eaten lunch here now a handful of times. Before everywhere else went vegan, Âu Ląc lead the way and made it yummy. We've tried their "Chicken" curry and "Shrimp" appetizer. The drinks. a double chocolate and a green drink. Last time I tried their chocolate dessert which was so good. My personal favorite is their Spring Rolls. Leaning towards trying their seaweed salad. Everything is so good. Highly recommend."
"Second time here. Sausage egg cheese crossaint was huge and yummy. Great aoli. Daughter liked thier donut cut out."
"This burgers are fantastic! I look for Vegan because my daughter is Vegan. I eat everything and these are some of the best Burgers I have had. Highly recommend and I have visited. Couple of their restaurants around the area. All good!"
"The food is fine, the service is great and I love the decor on the inside.... but... what keeps me coming here all the time is the Kheer - Rice Pudding! It is game changing rice pudding. I rate this place 5 stars because the rice pudding is "that" delicious. The Kheer (rice pudding) has a great thick, but not too thick consistency, it has slivered almonds, golden raisins and is topped with ground pistachio. It is absolutely delicious and one of it's kind. When I am in the area, I would stop by to get a couple of rice puddings to go with the ground pistachio on the side. It is just delicious and easily one of my favorite desserts of all time. Thank you Royal Khyber for the delicious Kheer!"
"So delicious! As someone that doesn't eat dairy I ADORE a vegan bakeshop, and on top of that it's Filipino?! Bless. I waited in line in the rain for these goodies and it was well worth the wait. They def sold out before the day ended and I can see why. The flavors of their desserts are insanely delicious! I managed to grab the ube cup, a dark chocolate crinkle cookie, and a mung bean paste dessert! All were perfectly not too sweet. I drove to the water and enjoyed my pastries while staring into the abyss and pondering for hours. Truly a magical morning. Will be back to try their coffee and other drinks!!"
"I love this spot! Located off harbor in a little plaza I have never driven to but always drive past! So like, a hole in the wall! Overall I loved the service it was quick and friendly, the food is spot on, I love their potato tacos! Their drinks are also good , plenty of parking and good aguas frescas!"
"Best açaí bowls in OC. And yes there are a lot of options and I have tried probably the majority to say I prefer Sejuiced. Staff here is lovely too."
"The flavors of spicy, sour, sweet, salty, tangy, every taste found in Thai food really hits home with the dishes offered here. I called Thai Gulf for take-out on the way home from work for an order of the Massaman curry, a side of roti, crab fried rice and pad Thai- all medium spicy. I was really impressed with the curry! Deep, rich curry flavor in a creamy sauce- perfect for dunking the roti bread in! The crab fried rice was a huge hit with the family as well and you can never go wrong with pad Thai. Tip- if you like extra spice, just add for extra chilis and fish sauce on the side! Definitely a favorite take out or eat in place for Thai"
"Located in Tustin on Main Street is Freesoulcaffe. Standing on the sidewalk, facing the establishment, it was a wonderful view. You see, the building is covered in bricks and had an opening in the entryway that I found lovely. I opted for sitting outside as the weather was nice and so was the outdoor decor.I ordered the BLT sandwich that came highly suggested by the waiter. All I can say is, love is the most nutritional ingredient and love was all in the details. The lettuce was crisp and the vegan bacon was nice. Next time, I look forward to trying their salads and soups that are soy free. Perhaps even one of their specialty pizzas. Everyone was ever so friendly and the service was wonderful."Light a fire in you that the world cannot put out!""
"Great vegan food with believable meat alternatives. Everything was fresh and well prepared. It is a tiny restaurant with only about 3 people working at a time (2 cooking, 1 serving), but it was very good. The server was very nice and did her best to manage the entire front, which she did quite well even during rushes. I will definitely be back!"

So far very clean and quiet place with soft music. I like the vibe. There's cashier ordering and one self-order, you just can't order a water cup on it though. The people are quiet but seem nice enough, they do their jobs. The food was delicious!!! I love that there's a good vegan place here, we got the Divine Love it's a pesto sandwich and Mother Earth kinda felt like having a salad between bread and it's alittle messy, so make sure to get napkins!!The bread is so soft and crispy!! WORTH IT, also it's a great portion, I split it!Definitely want to come when I'm in the area!

My boyfriend and I were visiting from the East coast and dined at Au Lac for lunch on Valentine's Day. Service was great and the food is 100% vegan and SO tasty! I had to try the traditional noodle soup because I can never order it at standard Vietnamese restaurants. It was so delicious! I also highly recommend the BBQ pork rolls to start. We also ordered their Tirawmisu and chocolates for dessert. Everything was excellent!

Thank you Kai for helping us tonight to select some of our donuts. Our friend recommended this place and it was a fun place to visit.Unfortunately I truly wouldn't recommend the churro mochi. It was so dry and hard and had a weird taste. I think this place has a huge assortment of unique donut and it was fun to see that but I think they should really take that donut off the menu.

My friend and I grabbed an early dinner here. It was not super crowded at the food hall as we walked around to see our options. We both settled on Nice Burger. Ordering at the counter was very easy. My buzzer went off when my food was ready. I ordered a friend chiken burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was very good. The fries were crispy and delicious. I can't wait to go back in the future!

We arrived for lunch at 12:45 not knowing it was buffet dining and they closed just over an hour later. My party and I went there for a business meeting. It was a 59 mile drive to get there and neither of us noticed the fine print next to the entrance stating the closing time. While the buffet looked good, I asked if they had "chicken saagwala." The young no nothing waiter said he'd have to ask the manager. Same guy returned and asked to spell what I wanted. I spelled letter by letter and he seemed even more confused. The manager came over, I asked him and he said, "Do you mean 'chicken saag'?" He was from India and asked me a stupid question like that. So I said yes and got the meal and simultaneously told they were closing in 20 minutes. I took my time eating and we went past closing time while the manager glared at us. They started to clear the buffet area and we both said we wanted the rice pudding for dessert. So we were brought two little cups and were told again they were closed. So we finished, paid the bill, left a full tip, not thanked and were led to the door which the manager locked behind us. As for Indian food I can say it was good. As for the experience, not memorable.

***Just to preface, this review is solely to give feedback to the business/buyer of each item as a non-vegan consumer who enjoys occasionally eating vegan (I'm not a fan of knocking stars for new small businesses!) Saw this opened up down the street and realized they were AA owned - woooh! Got to the bakery just before 8am with a long line already going down the block. Luckily didn't have to wait more than 15 min., with everything we ordered costing around $40. Blueberry Corn Bread Bibingka - my favorite of all the items we ordered! Moist, not too sweet, and truly tasted of all the flavors anticipated. Wish I grabbed more of these :) Black Sesame Bun - was hoping there would be a bit more filling to ensure the black sesame flavor came through. I honestly was only able to taste the icing which unfortunately didn't have any black sesame flavor. On the flip side, the dough was delicious, very soft and fluffy (edges of the bun could be considered borderline dry, especially since there was no icing/filling to reach those first few bites)Pandan Cinnamon Bun - same comment as the black sesame bun, was hoping there would be more pandan flavor. I'm not sure I'd be able to tell if there was any pandan in this if it wasn't green. This however had a good amount of "filling" with especially strong notes of cinnamon. Because of the amount of filling/icing, I didn't find this to be dry Black Sesame Scone - same comment as the roll, more black sesame flavor please! This was probably my least favorite of the bunch, as I thought the texture was too dry for my preference and would be best enjoyed reheated with a hot bev. With that being said, I've never had a vegan scone!Pan De Coco - one of the higher items on my rank list! The pan itself is great, especially as a vegan enriched dough. One thing to note - was surprised to see this was actually ube & coconut, not just coconut (but not mad at it!). Filling had great texture from the coconut flakes. Expect something more paste-like than custard. Ube Malasada - delicious, and again, especially for a vegan enriched dough. Tasted exactly like I thought it would. Filling was rich and custardy. Monggo Hopia - huge fan of mung bean so I had high hopes for this one. Honestly thought it was also a bit dry and could use some more of the mung bean filling. The dough itself was cake-like, and could also use a tiny bit more salt, if any, to help bring out the flavor. Honest Rating - 3/5 Rating for Vegan Pastries - 4.5/5

Absolutely blown away by the vegan tacos at Vegan by El Zamorano! Came by for Taco Tuesday (2 tacos for $7.00), and we tried the Al Pastor, Carnitas, Fish (battered portobello mushroom), and Crispy Potato tacos. Each one was packed with incredible flavor! We also got chips and guac to snack on, and everything was so fresh. The taqueria has a good-sized outdoor patio with shaded seating, perfect for relaxing. There are just a few seats inside, but parking was super easy. The service was quick and friendly. We'll definitely be back for Taco Tuesday and to explore more of their menu!

"The staff was really kind! Very, very accommodating and checks up on you a lot. The food is super fresh and healthy with a lot of vegetables offered. Very delicious and flavorful and everything is vegan, which is great! Everything is super nutritious and delicious and it's honestly such a healthy option to eat out. Also, the environment is very, very nice and calm. The ambience is so beautiful and the decorations are very thoughtful."
"Great authentic food, perfect spot to sit and enjoy the sun. We got the chorizo, egg and potato burrito, a fish taco, an asada burrito added egg, and the chicken enchiladas. Their salsa is really good, too! It's a nice pit stop for food if you enjoy real Mexican food. Service was awesome. To drink they sell waters, sodas, etc. the burritos are fat, filling and good."
"MUST TRY: Bún Bò Xào XảThis place is definitely my favorite vegan restaurant ever. 10/10 on taste for every single dish I've tried here. Below is the food I most enjoy here: Bún Bò Xào XảMì QuảngBánh CanhBún Bì Chả Giò Mắm TháiBún TháiOther than those, their dishes to eat with rice are absolutely worth a try too. Please pay them at least 1 visit, I guarantee you will be satisfied."
"My BF came home with Mongolian "pork", honey walnut "shrimp" & green beans. Never heard of this place before and as I was eating it I didn't believe him for a second that it was all vegan. So much so I that I had to go on their website to see everything say vegan. I STILL didn't believe it so I had to call them lol. All this to show- their food is so tasty and I really thought it was real shrimp and pork! We'll be back :)"
"I love this place, but damn it fell apart when they got a tad bit busy. Waited 45 mins, I was asked 2-3 times what I ordered! Count your change, the young girl does not know how to count and give it back. Where's Guy and the Taylor Swift music when you need him!!!! Only saving Grace is the food is great!!!"
"This place is an absolute (plant-based) treasure and you must protect it at all costs. We've driven past this place hundreds of times, curious but never quite taking the bait. Yesterday morning, there was parking right out front (score!, because 10th Street parking can be gnarly at times) so we just went for it. This shop is SO beautiful. Like just the aesthetic made me want to stay. Everything seemed super clean and chill, and the barista behind the counter was super low-key and friendly. I ordered the Kermie, which was a special matcha on menu served with vanilla and pistachio milk. It was delicately sweet, with the grassy, slightly bitter edge from the matcha smoothed out by the vanilla and pistachio milk. Milder than I had anticipated but delicious nonetheless. It took a lot of willpower to not bat my eyelashes and use my best Miss Piggy voice when talking about it later. I got a pumpkin choco chip muffin for my toddler. It was delicious, slightly dense (true form for a vegan muffin) and very moist. The child gobbled it all up, with minimal crumbs in his wake. Price wise, slightly expensive. However, you're paying for quality and the experience of just existing in this beautiful space. Is it worth it? I believe so."
"Our experience was great. Friendly and quick service. We weren't sure if the food was going to live up to the hype, but we were really impressed. Clean, vegan and very flavorful. We started with the purple taquitos with guac and jalapeño. My fiancé got the chilaquiles Rojas and I got the chipotle Florentine. I've never been able to eat most of these foods, but the vegan options were not only aesthetically pleasing- they were delicious! Also, highly recommend the peach mojito and the pineapple/pear cider. Both were great. Located in The Lab, this area was unique and eclectic. Highly recommend for vegans/vegetarians new to the area. Has an artsy vibe. We hit up Bootleggers brewery right after, down the walkway. Just a great experience overall."
"We had a great experience ordering food for take out from Orange Curry. We went into the shop not knowing much and taking up a lot of their time trying to decide what to order. They never tried to rush us and were super accommodating and polite, offering us samples from the steam table. We ordered many different items: aloo gobi (cauliflower potato), palak paneer (spinach cheese), chicken tikka masala, daal (lentils), goat curry, rice, naan. Everything tasted really good! Some a little more spicy (palak paneer) than others but not bad really and a mild/medium on the spice scale. Pro tip: add sour cream or plain yogurt and it pairs so well while toning down the spice.Orange Curry is a great way to try Indian food if you're new to it since they offer samples. It's also great for take out since the portions are huge! and there's limited seating (3 tables). Mango Lassi (mango yogurt smoothie) is so good. Super filling so share with another person of you won't be able to eat your dinner!"
"I have been craving great tamales for a while now! I drove to this plaza but couldn't find the name Shane Tamales. The sign says Vegan Sub at the time of this review. Everything is still being worked out so please don't let this deter you. I got the 3 loaded boat tamales and an extra tamale on the side. I only tried the pork and chicken flavors. I also got a grape agua fresca that was delicious! I expected a fake grape flavor for some reason (it's the American in me) but it tasted like fresh grapes, unlike anything I've ever had before. I really recommend this place for anyone looking for tamales and in bulk. At the moment, the place seems to be more of a take-out situation than a casual dine-in. Their service is stellar and tamales even better!"
"Monty's food truck!!! Wooohooooo :) I am a huge Monty's fan! The best vegan / plant based food in Southern California. I looked on Uber Eats and found the food truck in Costa Mesa area. "Really good açaí bowls that are 100% customizable. The thing that keeps me coming back is the fact that their smallest bowl is only $10 and the toppings are free! Fresh fruits and great base flavors. Tons of options to choose from. 10/10 would recommend"
"The banh mi sold here are LOADED. I was born and raised vegetarian in OC so I have tried every vegan/vegetarian establishment up and down the coast. Usually I am the only vegetarian friend in the group so I'm use to ordering what I call the "pity" selection, the ones they throw on the menu for the rare occasion there are vegetarians in the ordering party, at other sandwich spots (Cali, Lees, etc). Since this is a vegan/vegetarian restaurant their banh mi are the real deal for a reasonable price. I noticed some other reviews mentioning the price increase but if you compare it to what you would get elsewhere, it is a very good deal. The faux meats alone are very pricey in terms of raw cost. Vegans should already know this from their grocery shopping experiences and if you have ever worked in food service you know that margins are extremely low.Speaking of grocery shopping they stock frozen goods here! Brands from all over including the ones imported from Taiwan, a newer one from Vietnam named "Au Lac", plant-based pate from Germany, it's quite a big selection. As far as service, they are a smaller restaurant so it's unrealistic to expect a mom&pop to hire a lot of overhead for the rare instances that they get really busy. They try their best and I actually like that they take their time with each order (the wait isn't that long tbh), the food is consistent every time. Just call in the order if time is of the essence. Of course the restaurant menu items are delicious as well, I just figured I would focus on the banh mi since there aren't many like them around. 10/10 from a lifelong vegetarian"
"Located in the District at Tustin Legacy, this is a perfect place to have Japanese ramen especially on a rainy day. The day I visited was quite chilly so I had to eat something that will not only warm my body but also heart. When I was about to enter the building, one couple came out and told me that they really enjoyed their meal that they recommend me trying any of their dishes, which I appreciated their opinion. The restaurant has a clean, chic and modern look with wooden chairs and tables, which gave that comfortable and warm Japanese ramen place vibe in Japan. The server was helpful explaining the difference of each ramen and she brought the food quickly one by one. Spicy Garnet broth was savory, thick and rich with right amount of spiciness and the fried garlic slices were bonus that enhanced the flavor. The noodles, chashu and the seasoned egg was tender and tasty that went well with the broth. I also enjoyed the fresh seared salmon sushi and crunchy chicken karaage very much since it was great with the noodle soup."
"Excellent service with awesome vegan options!I tried the sweet potato animal style and the barbecue burger both were hot and delicious."
"I had a vegan ceviche tostada which was surprisingly very similar to fish ceviche. I also had a queso taco with pastor which I ate before I could take a picture of it. Very good. Great vegan option great taste great qualityq mmmI"
"This place is amazing! The food is tasty, especially their garlic knots and pizza rolls, and they have Dole whip! The service is also fantastic and the ambiance is laid back and chill. Highly recommend! Oh... plus they're vegan."
"I'm a big fan of sushi, but the problem I should address is that the sushi itself at Tama is that I mostly taste rice more than the fish. The place itself is a little cramped, so if you want to get a spot, I'd suggest you get here early since they don't have that much space."
"Ok. I love this place! The minute you walk in you're greeted with a friendly hello. It's a unique and charming restaurant with a casual atmosphere home atmosphere. The food was fresh and so flavorful! It smelled divine in there and we wanted to try it all!For appetizers we ordered the tikka masala fries - I know what? This was surprisingly tasty and the fries were fresh and crispy! And the Nepal Momo's - very similar to a dumpling. Def a must try.We got the tandoori chicken on the sizzling player! Butter chicken, and garlic naan. Every dish was sooo good! Ask for the yogurt dip on the side! Refreshing and takes the heat out of the dish when it's too spicy. My friend got the Mango Lasse and said it was refreshing like a smoothie. And we ended the dessert with their homemade mango and pistachios ice cream!!! Drool worthy! I will definitely come back! I will crave this place therefore I give it my full 5 stars!!Thank you Masala Waves for an unforgettable feast!!!!"
"Really good food. Had to try the cheese wheel pasta ($10 base price) & 4 of us enjoyed it. Rich & yummy. The add ons can add up though. $3 for chicken which was generous portion. $2 for mushrooms, $2 for extra Parmesan, $3 for gluten free which are zucchini noodles. The pasta bowl was decent sized. The wraps were large & delicious as well. Really clean & cute place. Lots of seating. Friendly service. I will be back for sure!"
"As I'm sitting here, waiting for my delicious food to arrive at my table, I was just thinking that I can't believe I haven't reviewed one of my favorite places to eat.Not only does this place serve up amazing vegan Vietnamese food, but it is just all around an amazing Vietnamese food.My go to is usually the vermicelli rice bowl (massive) and/or pho and when we order food to go we usually order food for a couple of days because, really, the price also can't be beat. Oh, another great staple is their fried rice. It's a small place with a few tables inside and it seems like a family affair with maybe one in the front one in the back cooking. The service is quick and kind.Whatever they are doing I hope they keep doing it because I love coming here. The only downside is they are not open for lunch."
"Try them! Great location, ambiance, food, and service. Inspired by a yelp review, we went for dinner. My husband said it's the best vegan restaurant he's ever experienced! And we've been to many. Their soup of the day was a spicy kimchi. Since we don't like kimchi, I asked for a spoonful taste. Our accommodating waiter, Brandon, brought us a tiny cup. It was fantastic! We ordered it. Here's what all we tried: Kombu Cauliflower topped with a little purple cabbage kimchi, and skinny long sea beans. It's good and the plate was plentiful. Eggplant & Focaccia. The eggplant was properly cooked to soft. Sadly the baby tomatoes were tasteless, could have been roasted a bit longer. You may like the tomato jam on the thick slice of Focaccia bread, I would prefer it to be a little firmer and sweeter. This is a tasty appetizer. Butter Beans ~ I would not order again ~ because of taste and price. I know it's an appetizer, but the quantity was scat for $10. The beans tasted no different than from a can. While I very much enjoyed the Nori tapenade, I very much disliked the sour tasting cultured G.O.A.T cheese (cashews) they were sitting atop of. Tiny real flowers were a nice touch. The service was very accommodating, friendly, and attentive. Our primary server was Brandon, but others helpfully assisted too. Brandon gave us what he called an "amuse immunity". That was a nice, tasty surprise that we can all use especially during winter. He also gave us an extra reason to return soon ~ a card for a complementary appie (expires in 1 month). We'll be trying the XO Cabbage appie ($16 chard cabbage) when come back."
"Ok - I've found my new favorite Pizza Place! Papa Pizza Pie is amazing!! The wonderful person that greeted us was so sweet. The food was amazing and we were able to just chill inside at a table. Let me just say - we got the Supreme Pizza and it was everything I want in a pizza. Tasty ingredients - not too much or too little sauce. Very savory. 10/10 on the pizza. If you like pizza and you are in the area, this is a must try!"
"Fun Middle Eastern Experience.....Pros: Excellent food. Big menu. Very friendly service.Cons: Parking can be tough during weekend eveningsStar Ratings:- Overall: 5- Location: 4- Ambiance: 4- Menu: 5- Food Quality: 5- Food Portions: 5- Service: 5- Price: 5- Value: 5- Parking: 3My wife and I were in the eastern suburbs of Los Angeles during the Veterans Day weekend to celebrate a milestone birthday in the family. On Saturday night, 9 of us went to a long time favorite restaurant in the heart of Fullerton.....Les Amis. Here are the pros and cons:Pros:- Location: Central. Right in the core of downtown Fullerton (which is also a con...see below).- Menu: Large. Les Amis bills itself as "Lebanese", but the menu had lots of Middle Eastern favorites from areas outside Lebanon.- Quality of Food: Excellent. My wife and I had the "Mediterranean Shrimp" platter ($31) which they describe as "skewers of shrimp with vegetables in a cayenne pepper, lemon zest marinade and garlic butter sauce accompanied by hummus, pita bread and side salad". It looked and tasted as good as it sounds.I don't know what other members of the family had, but everyone seemed satisfied. The table shared 2 plates of a dessert called "Chocolate Biscuit" ($9) which was pudding inside a soft biscuit served in bite sized pieces. It was mighty good.- Service: Very friendly. The owner's family took care of our large table and were always around to help out.- Atmosphere: Casual and popular. Most of the tables in the main room and large outdoor patio were occupied during our 90 minute meal. Nice vibes.- Parking: Plenty when it's not busy. Not much on a weekend evening.Cons:- Location: About a block from the Times Square of Fullerton which means the location is easier to find than parking on weekends.....even though there's a big lot right behind the restaurant.- Parking: See above. It just depends on the day and time.Overall, Les Amis is a fine choice for Middle Eastern food with a focus on Lebanese specialties."
