"The chicken schnitzel was one of the best dishes we've ever had in our lives. The chicken was moist and well seasoned, the combination of textures with the pasta it's served with went SO well. The maitake flavor pairs so well, this could be a Michelin star dish. The brussel sprouts were also delicious. The duck wings were good but I wasn't as into them as the other dishes. Heather was our server and she was so great and knowledgeable on the menu. The restaurant was cozy and upscale with white linen table clothings. A 10/10 experience all around, we will def be returning."
"Accidentally made it to Newport Beach go late to eat dinner somewhere else in balboa ; THANK GOODNESS . Because we stumbled upon San Shi Go . Their attention to detail. AMAZING! The food 20/10 . The service 20/10 Friday night made perfect with this place. The vibe is so chill and intimate . Perfect for dinner with loved ones, Or a first date. And the dessert chestnut social was out of this world. And if you're contemplating getting ice cream and like savory ice cream ; GET THE BLACK SESAME"

"Been going here since my high school days in 2015! Now that I live out of state, I look forward to visiting this place whenever I get the chance. My boyfriend says this is the best poke place he's had in his life! The food quality has always been consistent and the fish is always so fresh. I also appreciate that the sauces are on the less salty side so that it doesn't overpower the freshness and quality of the fish. Shout out to the guy working who recognized us from the first time we came here after the airport! :-) service is amazing! He gave amazing recs."
"I had an excellent dinner here with immediate family members. Vegetable Egg Rolls were moist inside and very good. A Small Hot & Sour Soup was excellent, with the caps of Button Mushroom bobbing on top, tofu, egg, and broth that had the perfect blend of sweet and sour notes. Fried Pork Dumplings were small but nicely constructed and very good in taste dipped in Plum Sauce, Sweet & Sour Sauce, and Hot Chili Oil.While others at my table split a Large Won Ton Soup and enjoyed extensive Mu Chu Chicken Wraps and House Special Chicken with Broccoli, Diane addressed her well-constructed and sweet Honey Walnut Shrimp, and I concentrated my attention on Shrimp in Lobster Sauce and Kung Pao Three Flavors (Beef, Chicken and Shrimp). Everything was tasty and washed down with Hot Tea. We had a veritable Chinese feast.Service was attentive and responsive, and our reserved table for six in front of the aquarium was quite comfortable. This was probably our best experience here!"
"this place literally feels like a izakaya in japan! I love the decor and it felt like I walked into japan LOL! they have SO MUCH little trinkets and it keeps my eyes busy! the service is also great too!!!the quality of fish was amazing! maybe the best salmon sashimi I've ever hadddd arguably!! the place is pretty tight and the wait can be long so get on the waitlist early! we went on a Friday night so that may be the reason for the crowd!!Here's what we got!salmon sashimi: 5/5 SOOO FRESH AND BUTTERY!! i loved it fried squid: 5/5 so crispyyyy beef sukiyaki bowl: 4/5 a little bit on the sweeter side for me but once everything is mixed, it was more balanced! comes with a poached egg ;)) purple yam fried: 5/5 I've never had purple yam fries before so I was pleasantly surprised!!Overall i give this place 5/5 for the food, service and ambiance! So much fun!!"
"Excellent customer service. Aarika was just a joy. Ambiance was chill. The food was amazing! They make their pasta from scratch. Crème brûlée was perfect! Will def come back."
"The seafood here was amazing and fresh... I recommend coming in early so they don't run out of certain seafoods... as they did not have all the clams when we came last. The service was pretty good but you do have to wave down the server a few times to bring napkins and water when they are busy.I'd give them 5 stars but their noodles are meh... and the soup I had last time was lackluster as well. So I highly recommend seafood and stick to the seafood!"
"Perfect in every way. Amazing taste, portions big enough for left overs. Love the fresh shrimp spring rolls, the fried egg roles, wonton soup, filet mignon pho and shrimp fried rice! The perfect go to for a Sunday night in at home!"
"Il Farro has a special place in my heart. From the extensive and delicious menu options to the attentive service, there's no place I'd rather dine after walking along the pier. I love sitting at the bar and having a yummy made-to-order drink. The Caesar salad, calamari, and bread are also my favorites! Il Farro has been around for decades but has always been the favorite restaurant among my family and friends. It truly feels like Il Farro is a celebration of community, one that I am proud to be a part of. The environment is also really comforting, as they have remodeled in the past few years and have beautiful decorations! I recommend Il Farro to everyone who comes to OC, and I can't wait for my next visit."
"Normally, I'd give a four star but there's a new policy that we objected to, so read on.My friends and I eat here often and have always enjoyed the experience, food, service, and staff. Tonight we were surprised to find an extra 2.75% fee attached to our bill for using a credit card. We found this laughable because the cost of the food didn't decrease by this same amount. Math people will get this. On the flip side, the poor servers are the ones that are being hit the hardest by this fee. Customers by default want to discount the servers' tips. People understand this is a corporate decision, please don't penalize your servers. This change hits them harder than corporate. Come with a debit card or cash and pay your server with cash. FYI: I learned tonight; that the waiters pay the tax, not just on the tips they keep, but also on the tips they share with the busboys and kitchen staff. Wow! Thank goodness that in 2025 the wait staff won't have to pay tax on their tips!"
"My first time trying out this place. I have heard good things about this place and finally got the chance to try it out since I was near by. Good that they have a parking lot and when you enter their restaurant you are greeted. First of all, the smell that hits you upon entering; you're already drooling or maybe I was that hungry. I smelled amazing. So I got myself two fish tacos and a shrimp. In all honesty, by my life experiences at other places I would receive diet sized fish strip or baby shrimp in a taco. This place they really mean business, you are not going to receive no diet sized strips, they gonna give you the real thing. The flavors, they are actually there. Cutting my story short this place is really worth it. Loved the food so much and they even give you chips and salsa. The salsa made me tear up because it tasted so close to what my grandma's."
"Food overall was okay. Filet Mignon tasted better than Asada. The Shredded Beef taquitos appetizer is very good. Guacamole not impressed. Ceviche way over priced $25 for 3 very small portions. Tacos were okay, tortillas were way too greasy. Transferred to flour tortillas. The green salsa is very good and tasty!Ambiance for Sat night after 5pm was great. Super busy for small place and great music and choice of music. The bar was full and no empty space.Service was decent. Did not clear plates enough especially for very small tables. Reservation for sisters bday of 8 people and they awkwardly place one square and one round table together. Not convenient, or logical."

A friend recommended this restaurant. When we arrived we were seated promptly in a nice outside area. They brought a complimentary order of Brussels sprouts that was amazing and my favorite thing on the menu. We tried 4 different entrees and they were all excellent .

After trying numerous Omakase restaurants in the area, San Shi Go has remained my tried and true. They serve solidly consistent and fresh sushi, offer great omakase sushi options and honestly it's just fun, easy and relaxed... nothing set or pretentious and I love that. Omakase is exactly what it is but I love being able to request what you want as well. Always look forward to the flavored agedashi tofu they offer in the beginning. The service is overtly polite and the sushi chefs are tons of fun. Makoto and Yoshi are our guys!

Holy sh** you guys. Writing this after literally only taking two bites. I'm blown away, the flavor is like sooo clean and fresh and vibrant and I think this just became my new Sunday spot. After the poke boom 10 years ago, it has been freakin hard to find a good bowl that wasn't stinky or frozen. I'm literally in awe. Don't ever change poke district. It did hurt at first paying $18 for a half/half bowl when I didn't know what I was getting myself into. I added avocado and got the lava sauce (top tier, just enough kick)But honestly, I'm obsessed and it's SO WORTH IT. Even the cucumbers were freakin delicious, I wish I got more! Currently contemplating taking home a fish only bowl to make the experience last longer. Freakin great job guys

Everyone who works here is so kind and goes above and beyond for their customers. All of the vegetarian dishes I've tried have been amazing too!

This is one of those hole in the wall places most locals know about and is a hidden gem. This hole in the wall family owned business is tucked away literally in a corner of a random Stater Bro's strip mall behind the liquor store. Its SUPER tiny and probably less than 40 people total capacity like you're really in a stand in Okinawa! Make sure to join the yelp wait list or you be ready to wait a few hours if you even can get it! They are typically always fully booked every night and they strictly enforce an hour per party because of the long queue. The auntie owners are super fun here and make you feel right at home too! The interior is decorated with all sorts of authentic Japanese pop culture so you totally feel like you're in Japan. They have changed the menu and simplified it over the many years we've been visiting. They do have Okinawa Kirin on tap or a bunch of japanese shochu cocktails available too. The menu itself has a variety of either finger food tapas style items, or a few set bento style but the menu is designed for sharing! This is a place to chill and have a good time for a casual date night or chilling with your friends. The absolutely must get items include the soft shell crab and corn tempura! The Japanese food here is very authentic Okinawan cuisine and not overly salty/seasoned and absolutely NOT fusion so be aware it may not be to everyone's taste especially very Americanized taste buds. We absolutely will continue to support this gem in our local community as they do have some season menu changes from time to time!

Because of the high ratings here, I had high expectations, but unfortunately they weren't met. The food was not impressive at all, very generic taste...then considering the prices, it was was a disappointing experience. Table BREAD AND BUTTER: fantastic!! I was highly impressed; the bread was perfectly baked and complimented with delicious butter!MEATBALLS: they tasted very generic; just ground beef, not enough seasoning or flavor to reorder, especially when priced at $18.FRENCH ONION SOUP: I enjoyed it more than I expected to but wouldn't order it again. Chicken Parmigiana: It was fine. The Alfredo pasta was the highlight of the entire. I enjoyed the rich flavor of the sauce. However, the chicken had a dry texture. Tbh, the one at Olive Garden is better.Sad to report that I was disappointed. Although this could've just been my experience because l the place was POPPING for a Wednesday @ 6pm! Seeing many people coming and going I felt gaslit, maybe the food wasn't as mediocre as I thought it was- even though my partner agreed with my opinion??? Nonetheless, the ambiance was cute and our server was great!

Absolutely loved every dish here! They are pretty crowded on the weekends but we were able to snag a table here pretty quickly right before 6 PM on a Saturday evening.Every dish comes out piping hot! And once you order, it will come out pretty quick. It's the perfect place for a delicious family style meal. The eggrolls are super crispy, the shrimp is very sweet, and the snails are perfectly cooked! The clams are my favorite here!

"LOVED LOVED LOVED Brayan & Beto!!!! Service was amazing, food was fantastic!!!! Had a long day & was indecisive, most restaurants when I ask what do you recommend seem bothered by the question but Brayan immediately suggested with confidence. All things he suggested were A+!"
"I don't eat here enough and I should because I love all their tacos. It's a good size and it's always a long line when I come here but I got here at a good time. Their fresh salsa bar is always my favorite too, their pico is just so perfect, I can't get it like that anywhere else. I always get the grilled and fried fish taco here and that was enough for me that day. I usually get 4 tacos but this time, I just needed 2 since I was gonna be busy that day."
"Food and drinks are very good here. Staff is always very friendly. Really good whiskey list and cocktails, if you like it. One of my favorite places in Dana Point"
"Loved it here. Our server (Ryan) was great and had some very good suggestions on the menu. Will definitely be coming back here for some more happy hour options and to explore the menu more."
"Food was delicious! We started with the heart antichuos which you have to eat right away, and was so good with the potato and corn. And, the calamar Frito, which was so good with the refreshing salad/salsa. Washed it all down with pisco sours, yum!The lomo saltado was very good, with tender meat, covered in flavorful sauce and plenty of fries and onions. The green sauce was spicier than most places. They ran out of bread. Staff was friendly, Def would come back!"
"First visit, and we were with a group of 15. Wonderful ambiance, and very nice views of the bay, boats, and waterfront homes from inside, as well as the covered patio. They offer free valet parking (tips appreciated). We were there to take advantage of their Brunch menu.SERVICE: Larry waited on us, and the service was excellent, including all of the staff who assisted him. He was kind enough to provide separate checks for our group, and they didn't add a mandatory tip, as many restaurants do with larger parties. I suggest asking about this upfront, so there's no miscommunications.DRINKS: The brunch menu offers two options for bottomless mimosas: the Wycliff Sparkling Brut ($15), and the Le Chemin du Roi Brut ($30), along with orange, cranberry, and grapefruit juice mixers. The sparkling wines were tasty, as our party ordered both, and I was able to sample each. I, on the other hand, had a The Spicy Southern Bloody Mary ($16), which was loaded with bacon, olives, and a giant celery stalk. I also tried the Olé Fashioned with mezcal ($17). I thought that both cocktails were well made.FOOD: For a group of our size, all of the orders came out quick, hot, and the portions were plenty. My wife and I thought that the food was okay. Nothing was terrible, but nothing "wowed" us either. Could have used a little more seasoning all the way around. We tried the Bayside Continental ($24), which included a stack of three, very fluffy pancakes, two eggs, bacon, and breakfast potatoes. The Bayside Benedicts have an option of smoked ham ($26), crab $29), or sautéed spinach ($24). The crab was in need of a little more seasoning. Finally, I had the Meat Lovers Omelette ($25), with bacon, Italian sausage, onion, mushroom, gruyere cheese, and a side of breakfast potatoes. A little salt and pepper, and this was good to go. I heard that the Chicken Barley Soup ($13) was very good, and the Lobster Salad Sandwich ($34) served open face, was okay.Overall, a nice brunch experience, and great service. I would definitely come back and give Bayside another try, maybe for dinner next time."
"I'm a local from a neighboring city. Came here years ago and forgot why I never came again. Made the mistake and then remembered. This must be some tourist trap restaurant because I don't understand why anyone would come here with the various better options around. Food is overpriced, venue needs major renovation and staff needs to be replaced. I asked for items several times and it was brought to me in the most inefficient way, and in the wrong quantity asked for. Server attitude was off too. Really basic request gone wrong. I could go on about several additional things but not worth the time. I just want to do other customers a favor to save their money and time and go elsewhere. Not sure what's going on lately, but there's still businesses that think they don't need to provide good service. Or owners that don't provide oversight because it's just money they clearly don't need ? I encourage everyone to be more discerning and support the smaller businesses that take more pride in their work and show us they need the business. This is the only behavior that will change quality. *funny I just read the other reviews and it's either 1 star or 5. I'll tell you that if you're not used to exceptional service and ok with run down dives because you enjoy loud music and loud clientele, this mediocre place will probably suit you LOL different strokes for different folks."
"As a seafood lover I'm so happy I finally tried this place! We ordered the Poke Nachos and I had a bacon Michelada and a shrimp chimichurri burrito. My husband ordered a carne asada burrito. The burritos were huge and were really good. Such a good value for the price! We shared the poke nachos and they were delicious ! I love the variety of the menu here! There is something for everyone. My bacon Michelada was SO TASTY! Inside it's not super fancy but it has a unique set up and gives off almost a beachy chill vibe in a way. This would be a great place to grab a little bite to eat and hang out at after with drinks. The service here was really good. All the employees were friendly and inviting. We were a huge fan of Seasurf and are already talking about coming back."
"I wasn't impressed by service nor the restaurant. I found the restaurant to incredibly loud and the waiter to be impatient and abrupt. On a busy night we were in and out in les than an hour. I would have liked to enjoy my nice evening out by way of a more lingering experience, but our waiter had no time for that. My friend ordered the pot pie which she enjoyed. The presentation was impressive with the oversized pastry billowing over the dish. I ordered the chicken picatta. It was okay but not anything special. The mixed vegetables were steamed, which I always find uninteresting and not flavorful. I would expect steamed vegetables at a lower class restaurant. On the flip side, if you're looking for a hip, vibing place to hang, then their bar looked like it would fill that need greatly. Parking is mostly Valet, which takes some patients too at their busy times."
"I have loved Bear Flag since my cousins first introduced me to them in Newport Beach. This location in Huntington Beach is on PCH with their outside patio facing the beach. Totally got them beach views, but you're paying the view tax on your food. Order at the counter and seat yourself outside. The inside seating and bar area seemed to be reserved for those ordering at the bar. My boyfriend and I shared a New England Clam Chowder ($9.25/16oz), Ahi Poke ($21.95/lb), and a Large Seafood Plate ($18.95) which comes with 1/2lb fish which we opted for the Wahoo and 2 sides which we opted for the black beans and sauteed vegetables. The sizes remain consistent since they measure out their portions, but pricing has significantly increased since my last visit to a Bear Flag. The clam chowder was nice and chunky with a lot of clam and potatoes. The ahi poke comes with tortilla chips. The chips for the day were a bit salty for me, but the poke was still as good as always. The large seafood plate was a good portion but I found the wahoo to be on the dry side for my liking. I think Bear Flag makes a good snack, but I'll pass on getting an entrée here again next time. Would only come back if I was already in the area and craving clam chowder or ahi poke."
"Stopped by this evening for dinner at Antonucci's. Sunny was the amazing server and had a terrific smile and excellent customer service. I started with a small cesar salad and a glass of Malbec. Sunny also brought out some fresh bread and once again was pleasant, kind and professional. The Ambiance was soft, quiet and positive. I ordered the spaghetti with marinara sauce, meatballs and sausage. Shay was also quite wonderful and brought out my entree nicely presented and she also offered some grated cheese which I gladly accepted. Shay was also pleasant, kind and a wonderful person. I sat alone reflecting on my mom who I lost two weeks ago and these two wonderful servers made my meal a pleasant experience and I so appreciated their kindness.Highly recommended"
"Awesome happy hour. Cozy lounge vibe. Filet mignon sliders were DELISH. Can't wait to go back."
"I go to 230 quite a bit one of my favorite restaurants. This one has a very similar menu and taste the same. I've had nothing but a good experience coming here, I did just get told that Mark is no longer The owner. Hope the new owner does not change the recipes, and only adds if you knew good items."
"Hidden away on a quiet street, The Dock captures your attention right away as it is the only restaurant that is bright enough to be noticed. Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted by the host and a wall full of wine. The host takes you to the back where the salty air and smell of wine permeates the room. For those of you who like to be surrounded by the wading boats and laughter in the room, this is the place where you can forget your arguments and be truly present. Come and order a drink for the occasion. I got Endless Summer and truly, it was the last drink before the season changes again. As an appetizer, I got the octopus, a small dish where you'll still have room for more food. As the main entrees, I got the fish of the day and of course, the lamb. If you ever had lamb anywhere else, well, those restaurants cannot compare to this one at The Dock. The lamb was cooked nicely and without the gamey taste, which is my preference. I would go back here again for the location, good, and ambiance."
"The Hangout HB is bigger than the one inSeal Beach but it's not quite as good. Some dishes are equal---sliders and sides, but mostly the flavor is gone on others. We ate burgers last night (a hangout favorite) and it tasted like three day old meatloaf. It had so many fillers it didn't even taste like beef. Last time we came it was for their signature omlets....Breakfast left us with that "Denny's" taste in our mouth. And it cost waaay too much. Still healthy portions but I think we are over being overstuffed restaurants. Get back to real food quality, especially with the new Inflated prices.I've been eating at this location in HB for about seven months. Maybe it's the trend of prices and cut-backs but going for dinner isn't worth the high price now. $65+ no appetizers and two beers. For meatloaf tasting burgers? I'd rather eat at In-and-Out. Sorry Hangout, still love your ibe, service, appetizers and beer but meals are just too iffy to pay that much."
"Delicious Peruvian dishes, with very traditional style decor, but also a modern twist. The fried rice is my favorite to go with any meal. There's lots of seafood items, so if you're a fan, this is a great spot. I like to start with the fried yucca appetizer. You pretty much can't go wrong with whatever you choose."
"Recently decided to visit 21 oceanfront, the place is extremely ambience, wonderful for a date night, the service was exceptional, I enjoyed an Asian pear salad, that they modified for me to make it vegan, it was delightful, my main entrée was the grilled cauliflower steak, which was exceptional, enjoyed a side of mushrooms & roasted asparagus both delicious , definitely will visit again"
"A steak that cuts like butter and terrific cocktails and service. First time and won't be the last!"
"Our Thai spot when I visit the in-laws. It's owned by the same company as "Sushi on Fire" and while we've been here several times we've never tried either of their sushi locations.Duck Noodle: Noodles with roasted duck (Skin on), bean sprouts, green onion, cilantro, and garlic sauce. My favorite, very nice soy sauce based broth, overall noodle soup tasted clean and not heavy.Potak: (Hot & sour seafood soup) Thai spicy soup with seafood in a spicy broth of lemongrass (Shrimp, fish, calamari, and mussel). Delicious and a good option for seafood lovers, my wife uses their version as the bar for tiwhr places. Pad Thai: pan-fried noodles with egg, bean sprouts, cooked in sweet and tangy sauce garnished with crushed peanuts. Noodle were perfectly cooked and not falling apart, consistent for takeout or in-person dining.Shrimp Blanket: Marinated shrimp rolls with wonton skin served with sweet and sour sauce. Nice and crunchy, tasted great with the sweet and sour sauce."
"There is a lot on the menu. It's a small place, so ordering online for pickup is easiest because they're always busy."
"The food is amazing ... and only topped by the service from the waitress (Tran). Highly recommend and will be back soon."
"Yelp did not disappoint! I ordered the salmon plate and my husband ordered the beef kabob. Both were delicious!! Portions are generous too. The patio music was so fun! I felt like dancing Zumba. :) Will definitely be back to this place!"
"They are super friendly and the food is delicious. The salmon burrito is so good(sorry, forgot to take picture), they use soy paper so don't worry about your carbs. perfect protein for the day"
