"I came here with a friend on a Thursday at 12 pm, luckily not a long wait (5 minutes) since it was a nice day out, we decided to sit outside.My friend recommended this place so many times and I finally caved to try it and I'm so glad I did. Hip old diner feel, if that makes any sense lol the service was fast and staff was nice! EATS:They have this 57 cent? dip/ spread deal that's comes with crackers, the seasonal dip was cream cheese with apples and some other goodies- I didn't take a picture of it but I did eat it all. I think that's a fun and cheap add on appetizer before your meal! TUSCAN KALE AND TURKEY SALAD- so yummy, you can't tell by the picture but this was a big salad, I only finished about a 3rd and ate the rest for dinner. The salad had baby kale, l turkey, parmesan cheese, dried cranberries, candied pecans, avocado and homemade croûtons with a l lemon poppy seed vinaigrette, it was fresh and delicious and I would order again! They have an extensive menu for any type of foodie and also serve alcohol! I'm excited to come back and bring my husband :)"

"Who doesn't love donuts?! It's notoriously bad for us but it's so satisfyingly gooood. A donut is so much more than I thinks! I have the fondest memories of coming here since I was in elementary school! My mom would take my brother and I here early in the morning to pick up a dozen variety of donuts in their signature pink box. So fresh, so delish! Now we can get donuts during anytime of the day (during their working hours)! Love grabbing some of our classic favs: donut holes, glazed old fashion, sugar donuts and maple bars! They got cronuts but I haven't yet tried but will one of these upcoming visits. Other than the sweet stuff we do like their savory as well - especially the breakfast croissants. The staff has been very courteous and helpful. Parking spots are kind of limited in this tiny lil run-down plaza. But if you don't go during the busy times you'll be ok!I didn't even know DK stood for Donut King until I recently watched The Donut King documentary (an immigrant story with a twist) on Netflix. it gave us quite an insight into an overlooked Cambodian community and the touching story of Ted Ngoy's journey of becoming the Donut King. I was surprised to know that I grew up where he started the business here in Orange/Tustin!! Oh, and I don't want to spoil it if you haven't watched it. But I will say the documentary has an excellent moral teaching about the importance of contentment and not falling for temptation. It is a powerful film that is certainly worth the 1.5 hour investment of time."

My motivation was a recent OC Register piece of the top 10 OC donut shops, at least in the opinion of the Reg's Restaurant Reviewer; https://www.ocregister.com/2020/08/27/review-where-to-find-the-best-donuts-in-orange-county/However, I do stop in occasionally for a croissant and coffee, which is very good, but what impresses me the most is the super friendly owner lady. Always a warm greeting, even in the most ungodly earliest of hours. Perhaps she OD's on her own concoction? I have purchased on several occasions their versions of those deep fried sugared gut bombs, but they were for my office-mates to many appreciative moans and groans. I believe my first visit was when the Dodgers began their current run of successive trips to the postseason. Friendly owner lady enthusiastically agreed to dress up a dozen in Dodger Blue, complete with that familiar interlocking LA logo. So not only friendly service and great coffee, but maybe even some customization work as well if you ask nicely.I Dan H, hereby nominate Tasty Donuts to any list of Top 10 Shops that may be making the rounds."

The sandwich is set up like a bar - see the stools you can eat at the counter or four small tables along the wall. Unless you know this café, it's hidden from street and certainly not widely advertise. Once you walk in, you're see small tables and turn the corner to see the counter. The menu is small with weekly specials. I stopped by for late lunch and wanted something light, Freddy was working alongside his cooks. He's made me a grilled cheese and gave me a free coup on the side. If you're looking for a place with not just great sandwiches, but even greater people - cooks are very interactive, look no further than Freddy's Deli! Freddy himself makes sure to greet you with a smile and a personal touch that makes you feel like you're a regular, even if it's your first visit, like me. It's rare to find a place where the customer service is so warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly--everyone here goes above and beyond to make you feel like a friend, not just a customer. Unless I caught them on a really good day, and only two other customers, this place sure makes you feel value. Whether you're grabbing something to go or sitting down during your lunch break, this is the place to be and to support a small business owner. After a few tries, I figured out that I can only handle up to Medium spicy level. I liked both their chicken sandwiches and mac & cheese bowls. There is great "street" chicken wall art as well. It gives the location an "urban" vibe. Parking can be a bit difficult sometimes during lunch hour since it is part of a smaller shopping center that has other popular restaurants. I would recommend to come here during non-peak hours."

Hubs wanted plain glazed raised, so to wait that long for 4 donuts and a bottle of milk, paying $17, wasn't worth it IMO. Oh, and no price listing we could see ahead of ordering.Yes, the blueberry were hot fresh, so a bit greasy but not at all light and fluffy. The idea was we would get these for early b'fast in room before DLand. The next morning, soooo ... maybe 5 hours later, the blueberry donut was a rock. Tried to break off a bit to get to the inside and wasn't interested. While I'm not a donut fan, I AM a blueberry fan and REALLY wanted to like this. Ended up tossing it. Hubs said the raised were ok, but nothing warranted the wait or cost for us. Also, we were hoping to get a couple of coffees to also have in the am, since we had a microwave, but I was told 'coffee only in morning', so be advised.I'm happy for this small business having such buzz and a loyal following. The people seemed nice, but the food just didn't do it enough for us to return."

It was our first time there so we took some time to decide what we wanted to order. The man taking our order (and running the whole show in the kitchen) was so helpful and answered all of our questions. I think the Pepsi came up at $5.95 for a 20 oz bottle.It's in the lobby of the Anaheim Convention Center Marriott and if you need a quick snack or drink, they have plenty of options, including a delicious looking hot breakfast, just be prepared to pay for it.I guess you're close to Disney and such, but C'mon man!"

We talked about various topics and brought up that her brother actually owns this joint along with another shop nearby that I absolutely loved, La Carniceria Wagyu. It made sense because they share menu items including their wagyu pastrami sandwich. That got me super excited because I knew they use fresh, quality ingredients.I ordered their Prime Ribeye Cheesesteak Sandwich for myself and I was amazed by how flavorful everything was. I loved the little kick from the spicy Italian relish. Everything worked so well together and the little side salad included with their balsamic vinaigrette was absolutely delicious!100% recommended. I will definitely be back again to try more of their offerings!"

The food was really good, the quesadilla is huge fyi, we thought it would be small since it's only $5. Chicken tenders were moist and crispy, ranch wasn't my favorite but I prefer creamier buttermilk ranch. The nachos were really good, the steak was very tender and melted in your mouth.Jorge was our server and he was very friendly. My husband is a picky stout drinker and Jorge tried hard to find a good beer for him haha. Drinks were pretty good. We had the quesadilla, chicken tenders, nachos, wine flight, 2 coronas, 1 stella, and 3 mimosas for only $65! Super decently priced and very yummy. I want to try their ribeye dinner soon!!"
