"We're new to the area and found this place based on other Yelp reviews. We decided to order takeout from here for our visiting family, who are all pretty particular about Persian food, and it was a hit. We ordered the family combo for 4 people and were impressed by the generous portion sizes. The koobideh kabob (ground beef) was delicious, the barg kabob (filet) was very tender and juicy, and we all really liked the chicken tender and chicken koobideh as well. The rice portion was extremely large, I felt bad because we wasted so much of it. My only complaint is that the yogurt sides we ordered we were very small, probably meant for 1-2 people, not a family of 8. I wish they would have told me that over the phone so I would've ordered more, or at least offered a larger size for the yogurt sides. Overall their food was delicious and good quality, we will order from here again!"

"It's about time. After driving by this Newport Beach gem dozens (if not hundreds) of times I finally had the opportunity to stop by for lunch. Tidepoole is well known to both the locals and tourists of Newport Beach. Their storefront is front and center on PCH, so it's truly hard to miss. I stopped by today after attending a nearby yoga class and grabbed a bite to-go. Their menu was straight forward, with options like sandwiches, pizzas, light sides, etc. I ordered the Charlie Sammy: sourdough, pesto, artichoke, provolone, tomatoes, and arugula. I also paid extra to add chicken as protein. The meal was delicious and served with a sliced pickle. The restaurant was close to empty, but I bet it stays jam packed during the summer months. Despite the slow season, parking is still tough. You'll find street parking available in the nearby residential neighborhoods. Luckily it's a nice walk, so don't let this small hiccup keep you from visiting!"

"One of our favorite things to do is sit at the bar for some well made drinks and good food. It's a sizeable bar and we can usually settle in no problem even on a weekend night. Everyone who works there is very personable and fun to talk to. I pretty much always get the Mange Bene salad with blackened chicken. I like it because they put a ton of stuff in it, not just lettuce. Also, their salmon dishes are solid and the pastas and pizzas are yummy."

"Simply the best Detroit style pizza in Orange County in my opinion. My go to is the Eliot which is a simple peperoni pizza. However, the real star of the show to me is the sourdough crust that really can make or break a Detroit style pizza, this is so pillow soft and fluffy it is incredible. It is a smaller shop with not a lot of table space, but they are located just steps from the pier and ocean so plenty of options to take it with you to a beautiful view. They have plenty of large TVs inside if you're trying to watch a game as well, there's no bad spot to sit. The service was prompt in bussing our tables and the workers were friendly. Order at the counter and take the number for dine-in, they bring the food to you. Drinks are self serve-- they have Pepsi here, not Coca Cola (unfortunately). The menu is expansive with tons of options, from personal size pizzas to larger shareable portions and the pasta dishes come with 2 slices of garlic bread.
