My motivation was a recent OC Register piece of the top 10 OC donut shops, at least in the opinion of the Reg's Restaurant Reviewer; https://www.ocregister.com/2020/08/27/review-where-to-find-the-best-donuts-in-orange-county/However, I do stop in occasionally for a croissant and coffee, which is very good, but what impresses me the most is the super friendly owner lady. Always a warm greeting, even in the most ungodly earliest of hours. Perhaps she OD's on her own concoction? I have purchased on several occasions their versions of those deep fried sugared gut bombs, but they were for my office-mates to many appreciative moans and groans. I believe my first visit was when the Dodgers began their current run of successive trips to the postseason. Friendly owner lady enthusiastically agreed to dress up a dozen in Dodger Blue, complete with that familiar interlocking LA logo. So not only friendly service and great coffee, but maybe even some customization work as well if you ask nicely.I Dan H, hereby nominate Tasty Donuts to any list of Top 10 Shops that may be making the rounds."

"I found Karak House on IG and was happy to see that they were pretty close to where I live. I actually saw them because of Muse Cheesecake's collaboration whom I also follow on IG. Muse, is a small up and coming Cheesecake company in SD that we have been wanting to visit, but the drive down for dessert has put us off, at least for a while. I was excited to come try Karak house when I saw the collab.Karak, is in a small shopping plaza in Laguna Hills. There is plenty of parking available, including handicap right in from of the cafe. There's seating inside and outside the establishment. Inside is absolutely beautiful and even more so at night. The dark green is a gorgeous touch. Seating can be extremely limited in the evening being that people like to sit here and chitchat with friends. I don't blame them at all. It is a nice place to be. What we've ordered: -The drip coffee - is tasty brew with hazelnut and caramel notes. They have a pour-over option which I am going to do next time. - Regular latte - great with any dessert since it's not sweet. - Mocha latte extra hot - delicious - Honey lavender latte with oat milk extra hot - which was also delicious. I don't know if it's my favorite version, but it was good and I would order it again. - The muse basque cheesecake - is amazing, so if and when they carry it, it is a must have. - Chocolate pistachio cookie - which is a cookie version of the Dubai chocolate bar. It was decadent, dark chocolate with pistachio. - Pistachio cheesecake- OMG. My eyes rolled back it was so good. I would definitely come back to this place again and again. Customer service has been on par for us, luckily. We have not had any issues with the people who worked here so I'm thankful for that. Cheers to a new dessert and coffee joint in South OC."

"My family and I have been going to Little Saigon Food To Go for at least 8 years and I have consistently been satisfied by their food and hospitable friendly service. The have an amazing variety of traditional Vietnamese dishes made fresh daily with love and it is incredibly affordable.You can get the a la cart for varying prices in small, medium or large. Pricing is usually relative to their costs, but usually affordable. The combos are great value. The 2-item combo is $7.50 tax included and the 3-item combo is $8.50 tax included. I usually go for the 3-item combo when I'm alone and it typically feeds me for 2.5-3 meals. The portion is huge!My dad's favorite that I always get for him is the Ca Kho To, or Vietnamese caramelized and braised catfish. He always compliments that they use quality cuts of catfish and taste better than the com phan/family style restaurants. I especially appreciate how the ladies will weigh the fish before they pour over the liquid and then package it very securely. I also buy my dad a copy of the Nguoi Viet Vietnamese newspaper while I'm there.In addition to the Ca Kho To, I also like the following dishes for a la cart or as items in my combo:- Ga Xao Sa Ot - Spicy Lemongrass Chicken- Ca Ri Ga - Chicken Curry- Dua Cai Chua - Pickled Mustard Greens- Suon Ram Man - Caramelized Pork Spare Ribs- Canh Chua - Catfish Sour Soup- Thit Kho - Braised Pork with EggsAnd many more! Their items are rotating so there are new options every time, but my favorites and the classics are usually available.Delicious, affordable and consistent. If I lived closer I would come here at least once a week and use their a la cart items to meal prep. Love Love Love this place!!"

Parking: I had no issues with parking either times, but I can imagine that the parking lot could get crowded once this place receives more attention that it deserves! "I love love love crepes. I found out about the existence of this cafe when I visited my friend, who lives in this Irvine company apartment village. I never knew they have shops in these mega apartment complexes. The fact that they had crepes was a calling card for me to come back and come back I did. I ordered the fruit crepe with Nutella and pistachio sauce, and it has ruined all crepe experiences for me. This is the most amazing and delicious crepe I've had ever. The crepe itself is on the chewy side, which is so good. The sauces were decadent and I would be lying if I didn't say I was licking them off the packaging. The fruit was fresh and abundant. When I came back in and took some pics for the Yelp, I told the employee that this was the best crepe I've ever had and he recommended the Belgium one for next time as it has Belgium chocolate on it along with bananas and strawberries. I told him, why wait, and I ordered the Belgium to go. I did split it up into 3 servings for the week, but the chocolate sauce is devine. They serve illy coffee, which complements the crepes. I am beyond excited I found this amazing crepe destination. Parking is tricky on street level, but there is garage level visitor parking also. Service is amazing. Outdoor seating is comfortable. It was also pink and not the usual red/yellow color that I'm used too. They also give you a small stick of that tamarind candy, it comes separate so you can enjoy it on its own.
