"It's surprising it took my husband and me this long to try Sattva since we both love Indian food so much. This place is a true hidden gem with a great variety on the menu and phenomenal quality. We got the samosas, chicken tikka, and chicken tikka masala with a side of garlic naan. Everything tasted amazing. The chicken tikka was juicy and the chicken tikka masala was so flavorful. Everything was delicious. The mint and tamarind chutney stood out the most as they were so delicious and full of flavor--by far the best tasting chutneys I've had at an Indian restaurant! When my husband went to pick up our order, he asked if they carried mango lassi, and the kind worker gave him a free mango lassi. Great caring people with high-quality food. We will be back for sure and want to try more things they offer."
"I feel like a little trip to India when dining here. Good vibe with great view of the harbor tooHighlights of the menu:1. Lassi traditional Indian mango2. "If you love Indian food, and want convenience, this is the place. Priced reasonably, and portions are generous for the combos. The ladies that are at the counter are friendly, and answers any questions you may have. I've tried all the items in the front counter, and it's pretty good all around. If you get 2 item combo, that's a perfect portion for one adult. If you want to try one more item, just know that they put the third item in a tiny box separate. The combo comes with a serving of naan bread, and can be upgraded to garlic. Both is fine, I tend to stick to the traditional, as the food itself is very complex as it is. Just to clarify, complex as in, it's not the standard salt and pepper type of dish. Indian food is like a multi layered, warm, hearty dish of happiness. I sometimes order ala cart, 32 oz of Chicken Tikka Masala, just note the rice portion is tiny for the amount of Chicken dish you get. As others mention, if you don't specify extra rice, it's going to look odd. Yes, you will have to pay about $5 for extra rice portion. This place is good for anyone craving something different, something quick, and price reasonably. This is fast, authentic Indian food."
"In my head, I really thought I could eat all that by myself. Indian food is definitely a group project. Keep in mind It's probably not the healthiest idea to eat a whole Indian meal alone. I love Indian food leftovers five stars."
"If you're looking for great Indian food, here it be. Pro tip for dining out - order ahead of time to avoid long waits at the restaurant (it's happened a few times to me). The details... THE FOOD ELABORATION. - Chicken Tikka Masala | Chicken is slightly firm, but still very good. The masala sauce has a sweet and earthy flavor with layers of spicing. - Lamb Curry | Lamb cuts are beautifully tender, but a few were a little on the dry side. Their deeply flavorful curry sauce is spicy, but not grotesquely spicy. I'd order this again. - Saag Paneer | The slightly firm Indian cheese cubes are a great contrast to the meltingly creamy soft spinach. Garlicky and mildly spicy, this dish was definitely my favorite. - Garlic Naan | Soft, thin naan bread with garlic flavors. Perfect for dipping into the Saag Paneer. - Cheese Naan | Melted cheese is sandwiched in between the naan and while it's good, more cheese would've been better. #cheesefiend THE PARKING AFFAIR.Plenty of free parking in the shopping plaza. THE RETURN QUANDARY. Yes, I'm plotting my return visit soon. Saag Paneer all day, every day."
"Excellent service and food quality, thanks for the attentive checks on our needs Edward! The parking lot is partially full with the other businesses but Karma Lounge stands out as the central restaurant for large groups or intimate dates craving Indian food. We've been here several times and they have plenty of seating and the menu is robust with dishes for both meat lovers and vegetarians. I recommend the goat biriyani and garlic naan. Our friends who live nearby love to order takeout and always get the butter chicken. We have yet to try their weekend buffet, which includes free chai or lassi, but looking forward to taking advantage of that deal soon. They also make their ice cream in-house and Edward was sure to make it tempting to try, next time!"
"I came here to celebrate Lunar New Year after a recommendation from my coworkers and wow they did not disappoint!Their happy hour is a generous time of 5-7pm Monday- Thursday. We made a reservation on open table but we didn't need a reservation on a Wednesday around 6:30pm. They get really busy around 7pm.We got served by the owner and she gave us the background of the restaurant and how their recipes are based on a celebrity chef back in India. The appetizers are a decent size- we LOVED the crispy cauliflower and it had a kick. The chili paneer was good too (and on the happy hour menu). They have so many curries to choose from whether you like meat or veggies. At the end of our meal, the owner insisted we couldn't finish our Lunar New Year meal without a dessert so she sent one out on the house and even wrote Happy New Year on it! What a nice touch. 10/10 will be coming back for the good food and even better hospitality."
"I have so far only tried their small bite appetizers, so having not tried any mains you can trust my review maybe 75 percent ok? As of what I've had, the kitchen delivered tasty things all around. The food was flavorful and not too inventive. The owner is friendly and quick to serve. Inside, their decor is dark, candlelit and tidy. Some Indian restaurants I find to be really overrun by music playing far too loudly. Here, yes there's music and the expected music video playing, but it's not as overwhelming. This may be a repeat place, glad to say."
"Very friendly service. Came on a sat night and almost every table was full - cozy atmosphere and very friendly service (just had to ask for water refills, wished they were more proactive). Portions were very reasonable. They do have chicken korma even though it's not on the menu. Husband found the potato chaat appetizer too sweet and didn't like it - I appreciated it. Tandoori mix was great, and chicken korma was delicious too."
"Superb as always. It's not the cheapest Indian food but the service is 5 star and the ambiance is friendly. They are so fast when they cook, never a long wait for take out or for dine in.It's a SoCal must for me!"
"$20 AYCE Indian lunch buffet with unlimited garlic naan, mango lassi (!!!!) and chai tea!! Huge selection of vegetarian and non-veg dishes, delicious buttery chicken tikka masala and the softest gulab balls. Service is fast and friendly, restaurant is very clean and spacious. We really love their tandoori and palak paneer. Husband enjoyed the goat curry! It is on Red Hill and 5, in the Ding Tea shopping center."
"Affordable prices. Decent food and quick service since you can simply have it to-go.This is more of a convenient to-go place with limited seating. I got the classic Chicken Tikka Masala with rice. Taste was expected and creamy. I would've liked the chicken to be more tender and soft. Garlic naan was made to order so it was warm wrapped in foil and dipped in the curry was perfection. They even give you a small side of dessert. Everything before taxes was around $10 so worth it for a 1 item lunch special."

Looking for takeout and yelp suggested we try this one!Overall really happy with the quality and flavors of the food. We placed the order online for delivery and it was much quicker than we expected. We sampled a bit of everything - vegetable samosa's - garlic naan - chicken tiki marsala - basmati rice - and tandoori chicken. I loved that they had options to choose your spice level - not common in this area. Everything was delivered hot and packaged so nicely! Really appreciate that effort so we had no spills or messes. Everything was delicious! We chose a medium spice on a couple ofdishes and it was very good. I love indian food because of all the unique spices and flavors. This spot didn't disappoint! The only item that was a bit unexpected was the flavor profile on the tandoori chicken. It just wasn't what I was expecting, a bit tangy and more citrusy than I'm accustomed to but still good all the same. Pricing was very reasonable although we will probably just pick it up ourselves next time. Highly recommend! Looking forward to trying more dishes.

My weekly lunch buddy and Ilanded here this lunchtime. I had noticed it in Peter's Landing on my way up to Seal Beach. I was intrigued by the name and when I mentioned it to JP he said "it is one of our favorites ".I love the location, right in the Marina, looking out on the moored pleasure craft. The restaurant itself is light and bright and high-ceilings. The menu was fairly typical for South Asian food, and I was looking forward to having my sinuses cleaned out by powerful curries and spice. The waiter was very pleasant and helpful and we selected the lamb curry for me, and the beef for JP.The platters were visually beautiful, but totally lacking in heat or spice. The lamb was delicious and perfectly stewed but I tasted no curry at all.I am still giving this restaurant 5 stars. The view, the service, the ambiance, the beauty of the presentation. It is not as though there are plenty of actual Himalayans looking for the taste of their homeland to keep the shop afloat, when most of their customers in Sunset Beach are plenty white!

My go to place for Indian food. There are one item, two item and three item combos that come with rice and naan. Garlic naan is extra but so worth it. Quick, affordable, and delicious.

Quickly seated at a clean table, restaurant is simply decorated. Water given right away with options of a hand held menu as well as a QR code. The service was average but since it was just the one guy on the floor doing everything, expediting, register..he did good. Each dish came with a flavor filled bowl of jasmine rice. We ordered the samosas which were on the greasy side but not overly so. The chutney accompanying them was refreshing and delicious. Garlic naan was really good too. We ordered saag paneer, tiki masala, curry chicken, butter chicken and chicken biriyani. Everyone enjoyed everything. Even my eight year old who has become a less adventurous eater filled and cleaned her plate. I must say that the butter chicken and biryani were my personal favorite. If you are in the area, don't hesitate to try them out for some delicious Indian cuisine.

Ambiance: Ate dinner on a Thursday night around 8pm and the place was nice and bright! You order your food at the counter and then if you're dining in, they'll bring your food to your table.Service: the only person working around the time was I believe the shop owner. He was super nice and even though we came a little near closing time, he was very attentive and told us to take our time and enjoy the meal! Even turned the tv and music on for us and always made sure our water glasses were full! He even packaged our food for us since we couldn't finish everything.Food: Food was delicious and at a great price! The shop owner made it himself, and though it took a bit of time, once the food came out, you could tell he wanted to present it well and made sure it was fresh! We got the chicken tikka masala with rice, garlic naan, and salad! Everything was amazing!! We also ordered mango lassis (my fave) and they were so creamy. Loved it! At the end, we were even surprised with chai tea after the big meal that was on the house! Will definitely be coming back!!

So thankful to the staff who let us in despite it being 10 minutes left before kitchen closing time in the afternoon (before reopening for dinner service). The service was extra quick yet still courteous. We made sure to tip well (we felt bad for cutting into the staff's lunch time...). Aside from that, their food was the most delicous Indian food I've had! I got the Puran chicken curry with rice and chili garlic naan. The Naan was sooo addicting. The spices in the food made everything so tasty that it's hard to stop eating until you're really full. I'd love to come back again!

I found this place when I went to get froyo froyo from the place next door last night and I smelt the food and knew I wanted to come here. The we got our food to go and it was packed very securely. Food was delicious and the staff were friendly. The interior of the restaurant is very cool looking and modern with nice moody lighting. I think next time we'll eat inside instead of to go :)

"Nikki's always hits the spot! I don't even bother trying to find new Indian food restaurants because this IS the SPOT! Never disappoints and the service is always amazing and friendly"
"Best curry in town with good price. Quick service. We ordered Garlic Nann. 2 items plate: Chicken Tikka Masala & Goat Curry and Chicken Tikka Masala & Chicken Curry. If you like spicy, dont hesistate to ask the worker for Green Chili, those will make you sweat in this cold weather."
"The butter chicken and the kahari chicken were the two curries we tried and I must say that the butter chicken was definitely my favorite of the two! The butter chicken was cooked to perfection and the chicken pretty much melted in your mouth. I was so impressed. The kahari chicken was recommended by the waiter and it was a little too spicy for my liking. The vegetables and bell peppers were cooked nicely. Services is always great and they have a wonderful staff all around. Ambiance is fantastic. It's a casual restaurant but still has a white cloth vibe."
"My go to when i am craving Indian food! Good food and good service. A lowkey restaurant tucked away in a shopping center down 2nd street with easy access and convenient parking. The parking lot itself has small spaces but there is also plenty of street parking. I usually get the chicken tiki masala - good portion size for the price. It's just enough food to feel satisfied and not have to take any leftovers home (it's that good). I can finish an entire order in one sitting lol. The garlic nan goes perfectly with it.Friendly service (when it's the younger lady helping out). Theres also another server who isnt always the nicest and can be short. Comfy ambiance, nothing fancy, but the food doesn't miss. Check them out!"
"This place used to be really good. Something changed about them. It's not quite the same. On a weekend I got vadas to try. These South Indian savory pancakes. Tasted tart like they used old flour mix. Waste of my money. Waste of my time. I did like this place for a long time."
"The scent of curry and Indian spices greet you before you enter the market. It's a small market but insanely packed to the brim. I took my time and went up and down the spice aisle. There are a lot of great deals but I had to guess on the quality based off of packaging and presentation since I wasn't familiar with the brands. Great to try out spices for new recipes too, jars and bags start at a few bucks. Tons of imported British foodstuff, candy, and spices. It's by far the most reasonable retails on Cadbury! I snagged rolls of Fruitella for $1.75 which taste like a creamier less artificial Starburst. Small section for housewares, beauty, & medicine. I didn't comp shop it.Highlight of the market was restaurant in the back. You can get hot food a la carte and the naan is made fresh to order. The tandori chicken comes as a side option or you can buy a full cut up chicken as well. The employee was nice and said we could sample anything if we liked. We were in a pinch on time so I asked what was the top vegetable side and he suggested cheese & peas which was my youngest favorite. Chicken curry was just ok. The tikka marsala was a family favorite.Highly recommend if you're in the area! I think it's probably better to go anyway, the food is not very hot in spite that we ate there. It was perfect as leftovers! And they package everything up perfectly so there's no chance of spillage. Great customer service!!"
"OMG! First time there and it's a hidden amazing spot. The food was so rich in taste and delicious I literally cleaned my plate! Everything was fresh. The service was great and so polite! Loved it def coming back. Super casual no fuss and kinda empty for how great the food was' loved it"
"The service was okay, not nice but gets the job done. The place is pretty crowded and the area for sugar and such hasn't been cleaned in a while. The chai was honestly not even chai, like flavored milk. Please don't get it, no amount of sugar helps it. The sweets are okay but the experience is very overwhelming."
"Natraj's Tandoori is a fast casual Indian restaurant chain with locations throughout southern Orange County. I always opt for a two item combination meal which is served with rice and freshly baked naan. You can sub garlic naan for a small fee.On a recent visit, I ordered the Chicken Curry and Chicken Vindaloo with my combo. The chicken items are always flagrant and flavorful, and I always appreciate the portion size. Unfortunately the garlic naan was disappointing this time and was tasteless. Also, the service was subpar and the staff member behind the counter was both impatient and inhospitable. Despite the poor service, Natraj's is a good option if you're craving Indian cuisine and don't have time for a proper sit down meal."
"I made a to-go order, commenting how good it smelled and how impressive their reviews were. The man working assured me that everything is made fresh and was very polite. As I waited, he gave me a small plate with a sample of my appetizer. I admired his cool confidence, because he was sure I would love it-- I did. In fact, I loved all of it. Great experience."
"This is the spot I ended up after browsing all the other options at the packing house. Glad I did!!!!!I was drawn in because of the smells. I had the special of the day and added the garlic naan bread. So glad I added that naan!!!! It was pretty fast service, too."
"My favorite go-to spot for Indian food! I've been here about three times, and it never disappoints. This time, I ordered the samosas, butter chicken, and pita bread. Everything was fresh, hot, and very tasty. The ambiance was well-lit with music playing in the background at a good volume--not overly crowded. I really enjoyed the place and definitely recommend it! Waiters were very friendly, informative and attentive great customer service!"
"I like Indian food and this restaurant is really good. I went there with friends and it was very nice. The service was good"
"Fantastic restaurant. Friendly service, delicious food, and parking was not difficult to obtain. I did find it a bit odd that the menu did not appear to have any lamb options, but they made up for it by having a seemingly greater variety of sweet/dessert options than most Indian eateries I have visited!P.S.Probably a good idea to clarify requested spice levels during ordering, if you palate is used to fare on the milder side."
"Ordered delivery for my first try and all I can say is WOW! I love that you can order medium+ for heat. Chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, rice, raita and a mango lassi. All really tasty. Chicken was fork tender, loaded with so much depth and good heat. Naan was the weakest part for me, not quite fresh, more like a day old. After 3 years trying to find good Indian, food, I may have found my go-to finally."
"My boyfriend's parents recommended this place to us :) I was a bit worried at first because the Yelp pictures didn't make it look that appetizing, but we gave it a try and the food was really good. Initially, it seemed like we might have ordered too little for the two of us, but we ended up having to take more than half of it to go. We'll definitely be back if we're craving Indian food again!"
"This has become hands down my favorite Indian restaurant lately and it's hard to believe that I haven't left a review for them sooner. The restaurant is located right across the street from the Anaheim Packing District with plenty of onsite parking.Tandoor Cuisine of India has locations throughout Southern California and the guy behind the counter informed me that they just opened a new location in Norwalk-LA.The restaurant itself is rather big inside and nicely decorated. My go to dish here is the Mushroom Marsala and the fried vegetables. The dish also comes with a large portion of steamed rice plus fresh made naan bread with every order. On top they will also give you a small container of their homemade milk rice which gives the meal a perfect ending.4.5 stars for reasonably priced and tasty food plus friendly service. I'II be back! Enjoy and Bon Appetit!"
"We had a great experience ordering food for take out from Orange Curry. We went into the shop not knowing much and taking up a lot of their time trying to decide what to order. They never tried to rush us and were super accommodating and polite, offering us samples from the steam table. We ordered many different items: aloo gobi (cauliflower potato), palak paneer (spinach cheese), chicken tikka masala, daal (lentils), goat curry, rice, naan. Everything tasted really good! Some a little more spicy (palak paneer) than others but not bad really and a mild/medium on the spice scale. Pro tip: add sour cream or plain yogurt and it pairs so well while toning down the spice.Orange Curry is a great way to try Indian food if you're new to it since they offer samples. It's also great for take out since the portions are huge! and there's limited seating (3 tables). Mango Lassi (mango yogurt smoothie) is so good. Super filling so share with another person of you won't be able to eat your dinner!"
"Delicious Indian food in a casual setting. It's less spicy than other places but the food is still very flavorful and you can always request extra spice if you'd like. The mango lassi is delicious and the garlic naan is worth trying too!"
"Met with some fam at the Food Festival Food Court for a lunchtime gathering. Several options to choose from at this food court and I decided on this place. I got a 2-item combo with chicken tikka masala and lauki sabzi (the lauki sabzi was recommended by the friendly gentleman at the counter after I asked him what's particularly really good here). The meal also included naan. Although the chicken tikka masala looked appetizing with its vibrant orange color, it was very bland. I initially have never had nor heard of lauki sabzi, but it's a vegetarian entree made with bottle gourd, a vegetable that I wasn't familiar with either (but after having it, it's very reminiscent of radish in terms of taste and texture). Like the chicken tikka masala, the lauki sabzi didn't have much flavor (aside from the bottle gourd's radish-y taste). The basmati rice was a bit mushy even in the parts that weren't drenched in tikka masala sauce. The only thing that I liked was the garlic naan. Had a satisfying chew to it and it was nice seeing actual chopped garlic embedded onto it. Is it worth getting a whole combo just for the naan though? Not really. Maybe the other entrees here are much better, but I wasn't greatly impressed with the ones that I had."
"Yesss, I like. Granted, it doesn't have the sexiest name. And it's counter service. But the food? So good! The veggie samosas? Stop it, so great! And bonus: free with Yelp check-in. And the naan! The fluffiest! If you've been sleeping on it because of the boring marquee that plainly calls itself "INDIAN FOOD," then you're making a mistake. I am guilty of doing the same, but a colleague woke me up to it. I'm a dedicated fan of the flashier Indian restaurant down the street whose name evokes something zen, but considering the price point here, they can really go toe to toe. There must be some sort of connection, as I noted so many similarities between the two. If you love Indian food, go give 'em a shot. The newfound discovery will make you feel like you you're walking away with the winningest win."
"This is the kind of place that is very special. It seems to be small, but the menu is incredibly large. The food is made so careful and so well here you would be stupid not to come in. It is a wonderful place!I had the chicken tikka marsala but don't be silly. You must have the appetizer non-bread. It is a perfect accoutrement again. This food is being very specifically and very carefully you cannot get food made this well for this price..I enjoyed my food a lot. I consider myself very lucky but another thing you have to try when you come here is the mango lassi. It's been so delicious Lee well did you want more than one? They are very technology friendly as well. They will offer you a business card or all you have to do is click on the QR tag and you will get the full menu. I absolutely loved it here like I said the rice is prepared so perfectly it absorbs the flavor. I believe this is the kind of restaurant that you want to come to at least three times a week. If you are a family and you have a lot of people the menu is perfect. !Yum yum is all I feel!!!"
"A great local option for Indian food in our area, Masala Curry is a hidden gem that is consistently delicious. For starters, we frequently order food here via DoorDash -- their fish tikka masala is SO good and is one of my favorites! I believe it's only available as an entree on their dinner menu.It wasn't until recently that we started going to their location in-person for their lunch buffet. For what you pay, you get an excellent assortment of different appetizers, curries, veggies, and a couple desserts. After a couple plates I'm usually so full and satisfied! The garlic naan is always super flavorful, fresh and delicious. The inside of the restaurant is clean and the walls are decorated with interesting famous quotes -- a very charming place. Their workers are always very quick to serve us and are easy to flag down when we need something. Highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back!"
