"This place has been around forever, they have the best carnitas you can get anywhere, they have a lot of variety, their meat shop is awesome with top quality meats . The service is hectic but fast and friendly, they do a good job in spite of it being so busy in here pretty much day and night. The ambiance is that of a busy carniceria . I love this place and have been coming here for well over 35 plus years ."
"5 stars for having the most delicious supermarket cookie I've ever had. Giant chocolate chip for only $2.50. Chewy center and crisp outside. Buttery delight. So good! Glad I trusted my gut when I looked at this cookie and bought two. They also had some other flavors and gluten free options as well."
"Excellent customer service everyone here is always so friendly and helpful. They took forever to make my green juice and compensated it for me which was nice"
"Irvine Ranch Market is my go to spot for sandwiches. The grilled chicken breakfast panini is my favorite. The sandwiches are huge, my husband and I usually split a combo. I would recommend ordering ahead if you don't want to wait for them to make it. Pro tip: there are picnic tables upstairs if you'd like to eat there."
"Great neighborhood deli with selected grocery products id you don't want to drive to Pavillions. Had the caprese sandwich. Yum. Super nice, chill people working there"
"Deluxe with xtra dressing Can't go wrong. Best sandwiches in Pedro definitely recommend."
"This is my favorite spot to get taco meat!Close to home, friendly staff, and great prices! Also accepts apple pay."
"They made me the most delicious veggie vegan sandwich. Friendly staff and great food."

I love El Toro Carnicería. Used to come often as a child when I would come to visit family in Santa Ana. I stopped by when I was in the area a couple weeks ago and I love all the authentic Mexican food products they have. They also have a great variety of meat and seafood to choose from the meat counter. Also love that they still sell their freshly made tortillas from their taqueria next door. They also have a liquor store on the other side and they'll bag your drinks with ice if you like. I was hungry and decided on some tacos. They tasted amazing with their freshly made tortillas. I had a carnitas, carne asada, and cabeza (beef cheek) taco and they were all very flavorful and they pack their tacos with meat. They also sell burritos, tamales, and meat by the pound. This is definitely the spot for all your authentic Mexican food dishes or if you're just hungry for some tacos!

The good; The store is very organized and orderly. The supplements and vitamins section is massive and is super easy to navigate. I think larger than Sprouts & Whole Foods. They have a warm food area and an area to eat and dine in. They sold fun soaps and Easter gifts as well. I purchased snacks and some kefir here that were delicious. Mini ice cream cone waffle snacks with chocolate inside were on sale here and were cheaper here than they were at Ross. The bad:I originally came looking for Tylenol but learned they don't carry conventional drugs. They sold cake slices of small squares of cake but I didn't see any full cakes. Milk was super pricey. The interesting:They have several locations.

Everything here is so healthy and $$$. I love their brown rice pad Thai (gluten-free) and bob's red Mill hot cereal so much. I can not find them anywhere else except online. That's the reason I have to keep coming back to Mother's Market! The cashier works fast and is very friendly. The inside is clean with nice decor.

FIRST TIME VISIT ! My wife has been wanting to check out this supermarket for a while now. On Sunday after enjoying a fabulous early morning breakfast at a fav spot in Newport Beach we popped in here on the way home. We parked our wheels out front around 9.15am. It's certainly much bigger on the inside than it looks from the parking lot. I guess you could say it's an old school style supermarket......huge range of name brands and many things we don't see at chain supermarkets. Prices in some categories were a little on the high side...more than Whole Foods Market. The beer section was a big disappointment....small range of everyday beers and no marked prices. They featured a huge wine section near the front entrance if that is your thing. My wife on the other hand loved some of the stuff on the shelves.....old school sweets she remembered from her childhood. THE DENTAL BILLS SAY NO ! I saw large Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice at a very competitive price. We ambled around the whole store for a few minutes. THEY HAVE A LOT OF STUFF ! My wife thought the cake section looked good...loves cake ! In the end they stocked enough of the things on our list that we decided to buy it all here instead of making another stop near home. We bought 1 x large Lactaid 2% reduced fat milk, Blue Lake green beans, Organic Mango, Haagen-Dazs ice cream bars, Crab Cakes, Brussels Sprouts and a slice of Chocolate Raspberry Cake. Friendly service at the checkout !NOTE - Of course with over 22 million views of my Yelp reviews and pics in 2022 I can tell you what is great !

Convenient market and deli if you are staying on the beach. Checked out the menu before walking there and had planned on getting the Italian Sub. I thought it was a little high but being the location I was okay with the inflated price. What stopped me from ordering was being behind another customer who ordered and watching the employee take the order at the register and then go to the back to make the sandwich, no gloves, no washing of hands. That's a deal breaker for me. Market offers the basics, snacks, booze, some frozen items, baking mixes, spices, etc.

Dropped In largely based on the yelp reviews just to pick up some chicken and steak to barbecue. Staff and manager could not have been nicer and I use the Yelp check in to get a free container of delicious green salsa Verde. I'll be back. The price was right. The food was delicious and it makes a barbecue so easy!!!

The strength of the Village Market is their location--I love it!ANDThey sell bottles of Lemon Perrier!!I am always on my Bicycle when I stop here. I love sitting outside people watching during my ride.Great place to refresh and release your stress it is such a peaceful location. And the people that live in this area--for the most part--friendly!They may get you chatting if you are amenable. And the food here looks good--it's not my meal time when I am in the area so I don't indulge, but it looks good. And while the prices are not Trader Joes level--they are not expensive. I would expect to pay between 8 to 15 dollars for a to go dinner here. And they have alcohol if you just want to sit outside and drink--then you will be chatting with everyone I saw on my last visit.Across the street is a great Starbucks if you want coffee.

"So many things. Love about Mothers! The healthy options, it's a local business.. fresh food to go and the fabulous juice and smoothie bar. The produce is always great and they have a wide selection of organics. Plus they almost always have some local produce avaible from nearby farmers - so few of those left now.Great selection of protein powders - so many nutrition, vitamin and homeopathic. Mothers has great prices on their nutritional options. They also have cool gift ideas in the beauty area and unique items I don't find in other places. The parking is a bit of a challenge, you have to be a bit patient. It is worth it."
"Best sandwiches in Orange County! I get the turkey on sourdough with chipotle mayo. Nice deli staff and great chip options."
"Very good Filipino food - their dishes are some of the best cooking I've tried and they taste like they're homemade. My ultimate favorites are their Kare-kare with bagoong, Kaldereta, Bistek and Menudo. Some of the other dishes worth mentioning are their Adobong manok, Igado and another pork dish that had pineapple in it. The style of ordering is turo-turo or cafeteria style, which means you fall in line and point to the dishes you'd like to order. They have a la carte and combo offerings. Their combo can be two dishes with a rice. Their serving is very generous and everything is priced reasonably well. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to try Filipino food or craving a taste of home."
"Burritos so huge, you can't pick them up to eat them! There's a reason they gave me a knife and fork. I cannot tell you how amazed I am at the amount of flavor and fresh ingredients in this food. Every dish came with a huge portion, made to order. Perfectly seasoned and prepared. You really can't go wrong choosing anything on the menu. The service was friendly, prompt and we felt extremely welcomed and valued. The place was immaculate, and we enjoyed the outdoor eating area. I'll definitely visit again when I'm in the area. Try this restaurant!"
"This grocery is well stocked with a diverse array of food. It's located at the corner of Brookhurst and Katella, at the same region of the Popeyes Chicken. Starting from the parking lot you will encounter an older gentleman selling trinkets, I've never looked closely but I think he has beeds and incense. I've seen him walk away from his ware to help customers. Decent fellow. The front of the store has huge bins of things. One may have sponges, another has Turkish coffee glasses, others will have watermelon or gourds. The entrance has a bakery making breads I'm not familiar with and pita. Packages are still warm. The produce section is ginormous. You will not see many bagged, prepackaged foods, like cuties. Instead, there will be several other (in this case) tangerine varieties with the leaves and stems still intact. They have lots of unusual melons, greens and herbs. Tropical fruits like coconuts and papayas. Huge fermented dairy area. When's the last time you saw a real butcher. They have about 7 guys working at all times to provide Halal beef, chicken, fish and marinated meats. You can purchase a goats head, camel meat, and other hard to find products. The spice section and all the teas are heavenly. Not too long ago, I had looked for chutney at the other stores i frequently habit. None of them had chutney. Here, I found at least a dozen kinds. Can you imagine that? They have gobs of bins of beans, spices, nuts, dried fruits, and seeds. They have a deli where you can taste the feta before purchasing, or the olives. You can buy bulk hummus or baba ganoush. You know how you can get a rotisserie chicken with the juices at the bottom? They have long grain white rice soaking up the juices. I bought a half chicken and rice that lasted four meals. Delicious. There is so much I could tell you. But, I will close with a piece of advice. Go during the workweek during bankers hours or upon opening on the weekends to avoid crazy crowds. Many of the customers are families, making your visit a bit longer than is desirable. You aren't going to find many processed foods. You will find Carson on rolls and pan dulce. This grocery is pure pleasure to visit."
"We recently rented a house on Balboa Island for a week, and became daily visitors of Irvine Ranch Market! With two small kiddos in tow, there's always something that you need, whether it's more milk, snacks, fruit, etc. This market is well stocked and the prices are great for being a small grocery store on the island. We even purchased locally caught shrimp to make shrimp scampi at home, and they were incredibly fresh and delicious. They also have great grab-and-go options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I loved their pre-made chicken salad. Their tiny homemade chocolate chip cookies in a cup at the register were amaze, we bought multiple cups full. They also have a great selection of local beers, wine, and liquor + all of the mixers that you could need. So grateful that this spot was right around the corner from our place. It made this mama's life a lot easier on vacay! My family always had full tummies and big smiles. I highly recommend this cute little market!"
"Love this little market! Before I moved here I was never near any type of Mexican bodega. Recently I had a taco night with some friends and we picked up a couple pounds of carne asada and Al pastor. Everything was pre chopped and the butcher was very friendly and quick. I usually enjoy stopping by to pick up essentials like their rice, beans, salsas, guacamole and crema. The staff is always friendly and the prices seem fair for the authentic quality."
"Oh my gosh, YES!!!!I've fallen in love.Awesome prices and great selection. I think this is my favorite meat market around, actually. Not only do they have the freshest meat counter with tons of options, but they've also got cooked items to go and what won my heart was the Carnitas Family Style!! You get meat, beans, rice, tortillas and some condiments (onions, cilantro, lemons) plus salsas for way less than you would pay (and less hassle) if you cook it on your own. Perfect for picnics, parties, concerts in the park or just an easy dinner at home! Shop around too... that meat counter is not the only highlight of the place. The groceries on hand cover just about anything you need, if you're wanting to shop Mexican! I love their homemade chips and their salsa verde.Yum!"
"This is a wonderful market! There is plenty of parking and the staff is helpful. The selection isn't as big as a major grocery store, but we found what we needed. I was happy to see Tillamook cream cheese, as it's my favorite. I'd love to try the food at the restaurant inside. The prices are great and the food looked amazing. There is also a nice seating area to enjoy your meal. There is also a wide range of meat you can cook at home. Next time I will buy the steak milanese to cook at home. I'll definitely be back."
"I have been to a lot of Mother's Markets and this Mother has had a lot of Lipo which is expected in this area. I would call this Mother's Market: "Mother's Lite"While it's a small build out because this retail space is some of the most expensive commercial land in California it has an excellent feel. Definitely a positive addition to the community. Free easy parking.Chipolte, a very wealthy publicly traded company is currently building one of their most expensive grandiose locations right across the street from Mother's. Corona del Mar has really arrived getting both a Mother's and a Chipolte in the same year!"
