"Saw a viral tiktok mentioning this place and had to stop in. So glad we did. The ambiance is nice inside, and everyone working was great. We ordered the wontons in chili oil, juicy dumplings, pan fried dumplings, mongolian beef, crab rangoons, and spicy beef noodle soup. Everything was delicious. The soup dumplings and mongolian beef were BOMB. Crab rangoons are my guilty pleasure and these were some of the best I've ever had. On top of that, all of that food only cost $75. Good quality, good portions, and good prices. 10/10 would recommend."
"This time i came here for birthday party . The restaurant is completely remodeled, it is very nice and clean. We have fried rice, fried fish with sauce, shrimp with noodles . Perking duck, Veggies with oyster sauce, fish maw soup food was good , only fish maw soup a little bit bland of flavor . The service was quick, and the staff are friendly."

"Came here after Knotts berry farms for a quick lunch. Service is amazing. Clean restaurant overall. Order at the register. We got Soup dumplings, chicken wonton with chili sauce, chicken chow mein and string beans. String beans were our fave! The chicken wontons had a weird consistency. Chow mein was simple and no veggies- a bit saucy but not terrible."
"BEST Dim Sum and bbq I've had in a while! The amazing food here has brought me out of my Yelp hiatus!Since my Yelp Elite status expired, I have felt uninspired, until NOW!**Located inside the Lucky Supermarket.-Cantonese style roast duck, juicy and with the sauce, one of the best ducks I've eaten in Garden Grove! They give you the sauce on the side, this is where the perfect flavor comes from, soy, five spice seasoning. It's an Au jus consistency, not the plum sauce.-Har gow, shrimp dumpling, 4 large size dumplings with large shrimp pieces, perfect balance of flavors. -Sui mai, pork and shrimp dumpling, was the best I've had in California! Large, and perfect umami flavor. I usually only have one, but there I wanted more!-Sticky rice wrapped in leaf, friend said "delicious!"-Steamed spare ribs with black bean and jalapeño, mild spice, was average.-Chinese honey bbq pork was really good too. Moist, a tad fatty, but still good and tender. They said they no longer sell the entire roast pig and lobsters, but I don't know why. I know that I will come back. There are a few other restaurants in the back with some community tables and chairs. Ample parking in strip mall, next to CVS."
"Went to their happy hour and it was amazing. What is better than 40% off and $2.99 drinks? Even though I'm just in town visiting I'm making sure I get to go again before I leave. The restaurant is beautiful and the staff was awesome! I definitely recommend!"
"This place is a staple in Newport and has been around forever. Once you go, it will become obvious why. The food is clean and healthy without losing the flavor. The portions are huge and they have a full bar. The service is great and the food is quick. The ambiance fits the vibes of a lunch spot more than a date night. I highly recommend trying their lunch special. Overall, a great spot for good food that doesn't break the bank."
"This is one of the most popular places in OC to get dim sum, located in the heart of Westminster's Little Saigon. If you plan to visit on the weekend during prime dim sum hours, be prepared to wait awhile. They don't take reservations, primarily on account of the fact that there are people literally pouring out the doors to get in. Though typically the waits are not too long since this is a high-volume operation and people tend to move through very quickly. Last time we went they only had a few carts circulating, and the primary way to order was through your server. This is usually the best way to get your dim sum relatively quickly without waiting for the carts to come to you. One benefit to them being so busy is that whatever dim sum you order, it will be fresh and hot. The shiu mai is one of my favorites and is pretty tasty here. Though you can't really go wrong with anything. The dining room itself is just a large room that has tables of all different sizes. There are larger tables for bigger groups with turntables in the center, on down to two-person tables. The atmosphere is one of a busy busy cafe and nothing too fancy. But that (hopefully) isn't what you would be looking for by coming here. You will probably also spend quite awhile looking for a parking spot as the lot is only about 60% the size it should be. So plan some time for that as well when you go.Five stars and this should be on your list to try! It's also great for special occasions."
"I'm starting to think these bad reviews are to keep the star level at the secret 3-3.5 stars which we all know is the secret rating for delicious Chinese food. This is one of the oldest if not the oldest Chinese restaurant in Irvine. They made it through a lot to still be here serving the community. They're also one of the only dim sum restaurants in the area that still have the dim sum aunties pushing the carts. That alone deserves 5 stars but that's not why I'm giving it 5 stars. It's everything. The ambiance, the service ( which is good for a Chinese restaurant. IFYKYK) and the dim sum! They have all the classics and they do them well! Their pricing is also not as crazy as all the other restaurants. What more could you want? I'm coming back for as long as they let me."
"Love this place. Food is always so delicious. Fun place to hangout with friends and family and enjoy a diverse spread of foods. If you see something (dim sum) that you like, get it cause they might run out if you wait."
"TIP: my husband and I decided on dim sum last minute and was able to order with a person but there was 25 min wait due to them being busy, to avoid any wait order online is the easiest way to go.Located at Twenty Eight restaurant, park in the Google/ Twenty Eight Parking structure.. don't worry about paying as you will get validation at the restaurant EATS: Shu Mai Flight : (2) shu mai, (2) shu mai w. quail egg,(2) shu mai w. lobster, (2) chicken shu mai with house chili oil - this was probably the best dish for us and I liked that we were able to get a taste of the different shu mai that they offered, my favorite was with the quail egg which gave it more richness in each bite Rice Roll with ShrimpGai Lan-(steamed chinese broccoli) - both these dishes were tasty and traditional dim sum items Turnip Cake - I was a bit let down that the outside was burnt, you can definitely tell in my picture lolShrimp Chili Noodles- these were flat noodles with house chili oil and shrimp... the noodles were on the dryer side and overcooked, it also came with an old lime and cilantro that looked like it was going bad. Overall the food was decent, I give this place a 3.5 out of 5. Spending over $70 on 5 dishes is kinda steep in my opinion and there were some areas where they missed the mark in quality. FYI we didn't get any soy sauce thinking they would provide that to us and we only got hot mustard because we asked, so make sure if you try this place to ask for both! If I were to try this place again I would only come back for the shu mai."
"Just a lil spot located in a big strip shopping mall near HomeDepot. As you pull in, you see the line outside. Don't let that stop you. It has large groups wwait outside until all members arrive to be seated. Otherwise, I jumped on waiting list from Yelp app. Upon entering we were greeted and seated. It was lunch time on Saturday and it was busy. Our host brought us hot tea immediately upon taking our seats. We checked out menu and placed our order:mixed of items that were so good! I recommend the beef fried pot stickers, the juicy chicken dumplings and combination of noodles. Noodles was a meal in itself! We had left overs as they serve big dish,so sharing is advised! I snapped a few pictures for your enjoyment"

We were in the mood for dumplings and this spot exceeded our expectations! It's a small restaurant, and they were pretty busy. Service was quick and they were friendly. Very homey atmosphere.

My gf and I decided to try something new today other than Seafood Cove. I don't remember how expensive seafood cove is but white Palace is pretty expensive. We only spent $40 for five items. It was an interesting place as it was also a wedding venue at night. Pretty smart though if you ask me because at least are utilizing the morning times for dim sumService wise was very fast there wasn't that many people and all the cart aunties came flocking in. They're all really nice though and I got to book Cantonese with himFlavor wise it was actually pretty good. We got:- Xiu Mai - Pretty solid and lots of flavor. 5/5- Ha Cheurng / Shrimp Roll - I liked it a lot as it was a THICC BOI but my gf prefers the thinner rice rice layer. 5/5 - Cha Siu Bao / BBQ Pork Bun - 3/5 only because it was cold but filling was solid. Well air fry these later for a snack- Tripe - Standard and pretty tender! 4/5- Shurn Jok Guurn/ Tofu Skin Wrapped thingy - It actually had a beef filling rather than a mushroom filling. 4/5Overall, if I didn't want wait in line and I had a big party with me I wouldn't mind coming here. Parking is better than Seafood Cove madness and there are hella tables available. Bathrooms are very clean as well!

It was so good we are thinking of going twice in two days. This place had great food and the prices were reasonable. The favorite were the soup dumplings, they are a must have. Do mix the vinegar, chili oil and soy for the dumplings. The teas were also great and worth getting. The cashier was very sweet and provided us information on the food. It had a small dining area and we were alone. It was clean and bright. The only concern for some people is that you are expected to bus your table. So be aware and clean up after yourself. This reduces costs and allows restaurants to keep prices reasonable. Hope you enjoy as much as we did.

Had a chance to go back and try their Roasted Series! Workers again were super nice and helpful. The good1. Cantonese Style Roasted Duck - Great flavors and very little fat. The meat was tender and marinate sauce wasn't overly salty. I also really liked their plum dipping sauce. The worker there said it was very sweet and it was however, I thought it paired very well with the duck (I know some people do not like the plum sauce).2. Honey Char Siu - Again, very little fat and I appreciate that! Similar to the duck, this has an upscale touch to it. I have had many Char Siu in my life and I really enjoyed how elegant, light tasting, yet flavorful the Honey Char Siu was.I would definitely get both again!

PARADISE DYNASTY HAS AN AMAZING HAIR HOUR!!!I'd heard mixed reviews of PD, but we decided to give it a try. We just do happened to stop in when they were having happy hour, which was such a pleasant surprise!!!Service here was really good- everyone was friendly and they were extremely accommodating. We ordered XLB, noodles, and fried rice. The crab XLB were very good- so good we came back again a few days later to get them again (lol)!Everything else was solid. Everything here has a slightly Singaporean influence to it, so the taste is slightly different from the save dishes you'll get at a Chinese restaurant. But everything was good and the ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful and calm. I loved that it wasn't hectic, loud or rushed. With their Happy Hour menu, there's no excuse to not stop by and give them a try!

Awesome little spot for dinner right before you go into the peninsula. I had the chicken lettuce wrap, the chicken was cooked perfectly, juicy with lots of flavor. Our waitress was very attentive to our food allergy needs, offered several alternatives and brought us different sauce options. I will be back! There is a lot more on the menu I want to try.

Best dim sum in the area! I last came here was last weekend and the restaurant was decorated for Lunar New Year. While most items were available to order from the staff, the carts were going around with the rice rolls. Everything was delicious. I tried the footballs for the first time and boy have I been missing out-- they're so good!! Some other must haves are the siu mai, sticky rice lotus leaf, bbq pork buns (steamed or baked), braised honey comb tripe with pork blood, fried shrimp balls, and Chinese donut.

I have been passing China Garden for years and every time there is always a crowd waiting to be seated. I finally got the opportunity to check out the hype and I don't regret it at all. It took us about 15 mins to get seated on a Friday afternoon. Host isn't very welcoming and there seems to be chaos at the front counter. Parking can also be a challenge, especially during prime time hours. There's two things that I appreciated about China Garden - the servers and the food! Servers pay a lot of attention to you - great vibes, great attention, great everything - thank you! The food is exceptionally great - love that it's fresh, love that it's not greasy, love that there's variety.I would definitely recommend!

"Reliable and tastes good. A solid place to go if you're this type of food. Good service as we went with a few children. They accommodated us well."
"Since green china closed down, this spot has the best Hot & Sour soup in the area. I've had it a handful of times and it always hits. They actually use Woodear mushrooms, which is a must for this soup.I can also recommend the shrimp and pork wontons! Make sure to add extra chili oil and ask for the Chinese black vinegar!!(Will try the fried pork buns next time!)"
"5/4/2021... still here and still trad menu and quick easy service at a reasonable price for dim sum to go... run by Senior citizens... got dim sum... steamed pork buns like soft clouds with bits of tasty chashui , shrimp hargow, pork shumai and don tat /custard cups and a roasted pork rice plate ... came to about $20.... amazing traditional dim sum at a look and point spot inside a Supermarket"
"If you're in the Tustin area and craving dim sum, this place definitely stands out. There aren't many options around here, so it's a solid choice. I'd give it a 4-star rating for Tustin, but if you were to head down to more authentic spots like Bolsa or Westminster this would be more of a 2-star experience. The dim sum is decent, nothing mind-blowing, but everything is fresh and served hot. The quality is good for what you can find in Tustin, but it lacks that "wow factor" you get at the more traditional, bustling spots. As for service, it's pretty typical of many dim sum places staff can come off as a bit rude, which seems to be a common theme in many of these spots."
"I have a deep appreciation for dumplings, and this establishment certainly met my expectations. It's a sit-down restaurant that does not require reservations. The ordering process involves marking the menu to select desired items. The menu features a diverse range of options, including appetizers, entrees, boba tea, and other Asian cuisine staples. We opted to forego the entrees, as we had dinner plans elsewhere, and instead focused on the dumplings and appetizers. The lamb skewers were slightly dry but boasted an excellent dry rub. My son thoroughly enjoyed the vegetable spring rolls. The steamed chicken dumplings were exceptional, particularly when paired with the spicy sauce, and I was impressed by the soy sauce infused with ginger slices. The service was prompt and efficient, and the restaurant maintained a clean and welcoming atmosphere. Overall, it's a great casual dining option, and the outdoor seating area features charming greenery."
"I don't know what people are saying and why this place is considered bad. Ya'll got trash for a palate. Maybe it's because they're used to eating cheap flavored dim sum with lower quality ingredients that's overly filled with MSG and salt.Sorry not sorry. Everyone that says China garden, seafood cove, capital, or the closed down place, Sam woo, is better has trash or mid taste. Perhaps the flavor is too refined for some people to appreciate. From dim sum, to daikon cake, to the noodle soup, they're all pleasantly fresh and well flavored. Not overly sweet, salty, or cotton mouth filled with msg. This is how quality dim sum should taste. The ambiance is nice and not grimey, dusty, and sticky like the other places. I have nothing bad to say about the service other than average. It's not a five star restaurant service but at least it's better than other places."
"Food Court Dim SumIf you are visiting the Little Saigon Mall in Little Saigon in Westminster and want dim sum for reasonable prices this is the place to go. I recommend the chicken feet, Shu Mai, Har Gow, pork buns, sesame rice balls and egg tarts. The sesame rice balls and egg tarts are more to go foods when they were not warm like the other foods I ordered. I didn't care for the shrimp noodle. I would just get the more popular items here. They serve other Chinese food besides Dim Sum. Seating area doesn't have too many seats usually this mall is very packed on the weekends so parking can be challenging. The owners are Chinese from Hong Kong too."
"Tan Kimsu remains the premier destination for exquisite homemade-style Dim Sum and succulent lobster. Although prices appear to be increasing, the service and ambiance consistently excel. A notable mention goes to Danny, our server for over 20 years. #shoutout"
"I think this is pretty lose to the big dim sum places in the area without the sit down part. Not as good as places in SGV but good enough for OC. The Dim Sum and Crystal Dumping is better (quality and size) and it's not much more in terms of price. Overall, good but I'd pass to go to The Dim Sum or Crystal."
"This restaurant offer authentic Chinese Dishes that you will love , service is great and portion are good for lunch or dinner."
"Here's a long overdue updated review of The Dim Sum (formerly Dim Sum Co)? I'm not sure if their name really changed... but it is changed here on Yelp.Food taste and quality wise, it is still the same as it was when I started coming here five years ago. Prices have gone up, but not more than other places around. This place is still cheaper than everywhere I've seen. Also, they make the best siu mai in my opinion. I love placing my order online for pickup. I always reheat my food at home, so it doesn't bother me whether the dim sum is piping hot or not. Something to note is that they charge you for their sate chili oil when you order online... and they even have a sign out front that says that. However, they always give it to me when I ask without charging... so, that's pretty cool!Parking here is still stressful during busy times and there is no where to sit down."
"Affordable! 2 item combo is only $5.99 plus tax. If you're in a rush and want something fast or you want to be nice to your wallet then this is the place to come. I often come here inside of the BBQ express in sam woo (next door) because gourmet kitchen takes credit cards! Food is usually good and they give you a lot of different choices. Besides entrees, they also have breakfast as well if you come early in the morning. 4 stars because they close pretty early and some of the employees have attitudes. Nevertheless, it's a place to go when you want affordable and fast Chinese food. A lot more authentic then Panda Express that's for sure!"
"We visited at 6:30 pm on a Tuesday and were some of the first customers of the evening. Elegant plates and decor! The green tea was great with a strong floral scent but a typical green tea taste. It was served in an attractive stoneware mug with a striking wooden handle but did cost $6. They could have provided a side plate to hold the used teabag and offered a refill of hot water. Each teabag was huge, so my wife took hers home and reused it the next day!Liked the Peking duck pancakes appetizer: six thin pancakes each with a slice of duck. Minor glitch in service: we received the appetizer shortly after our entrees. Otherwise, the service was good, and friendly.Oddly, the dumpling entrées offered ten steamed dumplings or five fried dumplings for about the same price. One of us had ten chicken and mushroom steamed dumplings, the other had five pan-fried Kurobuta pork and celery dumplings. Great dumplings! The house specialty dipping sauce was quite good."
"I couldn't wait to try this restaurant, based upon reviews. It's small, and it's in a strip mall that never seems to have parking, but I found a spot and walked over. Unfortunately, the pork bao rolls that they are known for they were out of. And they were out of the shrimp dumplings also. I tried a few things here, service was very fast and also very matter-of-fact. The interiors and serving dishes are not much to talk about as far as in-dining restaurant ambiance. As others have noted, everything is in paper plates or to go containers."
"the service was unreal in the best of ways! they gave us water and tea as soon as they gave us the menus. i and another person had just ordered the sweet and sour pork and the beef crispy chow mein with a side of rice. it was way more filling than i thought! the bathrooms, decor, and general vibes are very family and fancy that i felt so special. when the bill came, they gave us complementary sweet rice porridge and my mouth will never be the same. i'll be back!"
"Great decent dim sum! Would come again! Walkable distance from the packing district! We were a group of 6 and tried siu mai, soup the garlic string beans were so decadent with lots of garlic. The garlic fragrance literally cleared my sinus. The soup dumplings were flavorful and full of delicious broth. We had a person with dietary preferences, and they were very accommodating, putting sauce on the side."
