"I only come here the plain bread. My absolute fav!! I buy a lot bc I don't live close by. Stays soft for a long time."
"We waited a short while since it was Friday evening. We were seated within 10 minutes. We sat on the patio. We were quickly greeted at the table with bread and water. We selected the Seafood Fettuccine and Chicken Parmigiana. Both meals came out quickly and were good sized portions. Both were delicious. We were checked on frequently. All the accompaniments were on the table already. Waters were kept full! Service with a smile. Took home portions of each since we got full part way through. Great for leftovers. We also ordered a lasagna to go. Both salad and lasagna was great also."

"Amazing hidden gem of Santa Ana. Small, family owned a café with heavy Japanese influence. Very interesting given it's inside of a corporate building almost like a speakeasy!Had the breakfast menu along with the Japanese toast, which was Instagram worthy. Come for the hospitality, stay for the amazing food."
"My favorite local deli. Always very friendly service and delicious breakfast or lunch sandwiches and burritos. Fair prices. What more could you ask for?"
"Great guys who love their jobs with smiles all around. Great food and music! This is our go to place for lunch."
"Freddy's Delis is certainly a 5+ Star establishment. The "plus" is a nod to Freddy being friendly and appears to remember the names of his returning clients. It kind of gives off a Cheers vibe, where everyone knows your name. Freddy's Deli is a small kiosk embedded inside a business building and most of his customer inside this office is enough to keep him busy. The sandwich is set up like a bar - see the stools you can eat at the counter or four small tables along the wall. Unless you know this café, it's hidden from street and certainly not widely advertise. Once you walk in, you're see small tables and turn the corner to see the counter. The menu is small with weekly specials. I stopped by for late lunch and wanted something light, Freddy was working alongside his cooks. He's made me a grilled cheese and gave me a free coup on the side. If you're looking for a place with not just great sandwiches, but even greater people - cooks are very interactive, look no further than Freddy's Deli! Freddy himself makes sure to greet you with a smile and a personal touch that makes you feel like you're a regular, even if it's your first visit, like me. It's rare to find a place where the customer service is so warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly--everyone here goes above and beyond to make you feel like a friend, not just a customer. Unless I caught them on a really good day, and only two other customers, this place sure makes you feel value. Whether you're grabbing something to go or sitting down during your lunch break, this is the place to be and to support a small business owner. I try to stop by month but after the lunch peak hours."
"Delicious food! and smells so good! All the kindest people! I absolutely recommend this place for a great meal!"
"The menu looked overwhelming but the nice young lady at the register helped us navigate what we wanted.I got the regular cheese steak with peppers and onions and an order of fries. The bread was soft with good texture and the steak was seasoned perfectly. The fries were piping hot with good seasoning and came in a separate bag. Yes, a bag of fries!Overall, good experience and enjoyed all the Philly memorabilia on the walls! I've been to the other location on Beach Blvd. But this location you can sit inside and not just outside."
"I've had this spot on my radar ever since they opened up and was not disappointed from their reviews and pictures posted. I finally got the opportunity to try this place out this past Friday and I was pleasantly surprised.I got there just before 11 AM and I was the only person in there at the time. Once I put my order in, the lady working was very pleasant to talk to and she struck up a conversation with me. We talked about various topics and brought up that her brother actually owns this joint along with another shop nearby that I absolutely loved, La Carniceria Wagyu. It made sense because they share menu items including their wagyu pastrami sandwich. That got me super excited because I knew they use fresh, quality ingredients.I ordered their Prime Ribeye Cheesesteak Sandwich for myself and I was amazed by how flavorful everything was. I loved the little kick from the spicy Italian relish. Everything worked so well together and the little side salad included with their balsamic vinaigrette was absolutely delicious!100% recommended. I will definitely be back again to try more of their offerings!"
"Ordered delivery for our hotel to heat up each day of our stay. The food came prepared so nicely with notes on each box of what it was. I highly recommend and would order again if in the area."
"They made me the most delicious veggie vegan sandwich. Friendly staff and great food."
"The deli has been renamed "La Farola"https://www.yelp.com/biz/la-farola-deli-and-pizzeria-tustinI never had empenadas before some work friends took me here. No doubt, the Argentenians have the best meat pies in the world. They are sweet or spicy, not at all greasy, and come with 2 incredible sauces. I love that such a great deli is in the back of a dive liquor store (it's fine, clean, and professional, just not upscale)."

There are a myriad of places in Little Saigon to find a great banh mi - Vietnamese sandwich on either a baguette or French roll. And new spots seem to open up all time. I had a handful of favorite places myself when I lived in Orange County. I just wish I knew about Ba Le sooner. It remains one of my recommended choices. Their warm, freshly made breads are chewy, very light and has a nice distinct crunch when you bite into them. Moreover, at $3.50, their foot-long sandwiches are adequately stacked with meats (including their housemade pate) and the usual garnishes - making them one of the best values for a delicious, hearty meal.

Let me start with: THEIR LASAGNA IS THE BEST!!!! They use all beef, which I LOVE!!! I usually order the spicy stuffed pepperoncini's, minestrone soup, and mediterranean salad to start! So I (usually) never can finish the lasagna. So if you find yourself taking lasagna home, I suggest you get extra marinara (with or without meat - either is fantastic) to go too!! Because when you re-heat your yummy leftovers, you will be super happy you have the extra sauce!!Now, for the stuffed pepperoncinis: if you like a pickley, spicy, cheesy, crunchy appetizer, you will LOVE these! I'm a saucy person, so opt for extra sauce if you are too! :)And now the mediterranean salad: it comes with a lot of veggies! The feta cheese they use is so tangy and creamy! But the kicker here is the DRESSING!! It's sooooo good! Tip: you have to love garlic to enjoy it. If you're not a garlic lover, I would opt for a different dressing. Luckily for me, i LOVE garlic!!!All that aside, their minestrone soup is so flavorful! Suggestion: you can order a meatball (again all beef!), or two!! on the side, and add it to your soup! Which is practically a full meal in itself! Don't forget to sprinkle enough parmesan (which they grate in house!! even the stuff at your table!) and spicy red pepper flakes (if you're into the spice). Another dish I order: the spinach manicotti! Just WOW! sometimes I order a side of arrabbiata sauce and pour it over! Their spicy marinara is just done differently, in such a beautiful way! I have been coming to this restaurant for over 15 years, and I love it more and more each time. Every server I've ever encountered has been so fun and welcoming! Everyone's always nice!!Over the years, lI have ordered some of their lamb dishes, chicken dishes, etc... and I can just say their meat (whatever you're ordering) has always been tender and flavorful! All their sauces are soooooo good too! I love cooking at home, A LOT!!! So if I go out to eat, it must be worth it! And I just have to say, this place is my go-to!! And I no longer live in the area! So I have to drive kind of far now, but it's worth it! And i'm happy to do it! I honestly think I mention this restaurant to someone new, at least twice a week! The food has me thinking about this place, ALL THE TIME! Gosh, now I need their lasagna! ;)

I live close by to this little hidden Gem. Walked over this morning with some of my family and what a delight. Great selection for a smallish Cafe, the service was very friendly, coffee was fantastic and the breakfast food we had was up there with any I've tasted elsewhere. Will certainly be making this a regular for midweek breakfast and coffee.Pete

This little neighborhood deli has some good sandwiches and salads for the lunchtime crowd and some breakfast offerings for those who venture in during the morning hours. The interior is simple with a handful of tables and they currently have a couple more outside under a small tent. The two workers (owners?) were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. It was early afternoon so I ordered a corned beef sandwich on rye with a bag of chips and fountain drink, very reasonably priced.I ate at one of the tables inside. The sandwich was piled high with corned beef and the rye bread was fresh and soft. I had to handle the bread delicately so as not to spill out the contents. Lettuce, tomato, pickles, mustard and mayo added to the flavor although the mayo was a bit heavy. This simple, no frills, old-school style sandwich shop will deliver the goods with a smile which will make you smile too.

I've visited Jersey Mikes a few times over the past couple of weeks and I will be returning again. I enjoy rhe Big Kahuna sandwich with no jalapeños and extra onions. It has juicy, tender, and delicious steak with soft, gooey melted cheese inside a toasted bun. The large size is big enough to share which is a plus. They have a wide selection of other choices as well. I also like their unsweetened black tea. This location is located in the Von Karman shopping center near Wal Mart. I will be returning again.

Freddy's Deli in Irvine is a hidden gem for anyone who loves fresh, high-quality sandwiches. The place is clean, welcoming, and has a relaxed vibe that makes it perfect for a quick lunch or a casual meal. It's the kind of spot where you can count on getting a great sandwich every time. The ingredients here make all the difference--freshly baked bread, premium meats, and crisp veggies. Whether you go for a classic deli sandwich or one of their specialty creations, everything is made with care and packed with flavor. The portions are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth. What really sets Freddy's apart is the owner. They are incredibly kind and welcoming, treating every customer like an old friend. The service is fast and friendly, making the whole experience even better. Whether you're grabbing something to go or sitting down for a meal, Freddy's Deli delivers on taste, quality, and genuine hospitality. Definitely a go-to spot for sandwich lovers in Irvine!

Omg! I'm ashamed of myself for never eating here before. All that time I could have been here weekly, wasted!Guess I have a lot to make up for!Was in the mood for some sandwiches. I usually go to jersey mikes but wanted to try out a little locally owned place. Also noticed their big award that says it was one of yelps top places to eat in 2022. On their Yelp page I also read their write up about the owners. And how they smoke their own meats, use family recipes, do catering, are happy to make custom orders and they seem to really care about the quality of their food and happy customers. I can see why this place has such a good rating. You can really tell the owners have put their heart and soul into this place They have a large private parking lot, but it was packed when I got there. (I have a handicap placard And even all those spots were filled up) As soon as I walked in I was so overwhelmed by all the amazing options and the delicious smell. I had a bunch of questions on what the staff here suggested We got 2 large sandwiches. The pastrami with cheese, pickles and mustard. And the brisket which we added Mayo and cheese. It came with a vinegar based sauce. Not quite NC style, more like vinegar with texas bbq sauce. We said no thank you and asked for Mayo instead. The guy that took our order was nice enough to bring it out to us in containers on the side so we could try it still. It was really good The meat had a delicious Smokey taste, but not overpowering at allThey offer a really nice selection of deli sides. There was so many to pick from. But we got the small pasta salad and the small Mac and cheese (they were out of potato salad) they also have a selection of chips and drinks for sale. It did take a while for our sandwiches to be made since they are so fresh and made to order. But as my granny always said, you can't rush perfection!! He told us it would be about 15 minutes. It all came out in 10 to be exact The price did quickly add up. The total came to around 40 dollars (with a coupon and not including tip) while checking out their menu online before coming here I noticed they had a sign up reward program. For signing up I got 10 percent off. So I strongly suggest doing that!! Because even though with the sides, the prices of the sandwiches were pricy in my opinion. But worth it. Especially since they do put a good amount of meat on themThey have a couple tables outside. This is definitely more of a to go place. Would love it if they had a larger indoor dining area.Overall 10/10 I'm going to start coming here all the time. Thank you again to the friendly staff who helped me with all their great suggestions

"Excellent customer service everyone here is always so friendly and helpful. They took forever to make my green juice and compensated it for me which was nice"
"Great cooked Romanian dishes that you can eat there or take to go. Mititei and sarmale are my favorite. Their Langos is absolutely amazing. Have been here at least a half dozen times and the food is always consistently good. The deli next door has Romanian imports at a decent price. The people that work here are always helpful and offer great advice and service."
"Updated menuWith current prices. HIGHLY recommend calling ahead Breakfast 6:00am -10:30Lunch 10 am to 1:30pm"
"I'm from the east coast (New England) where I have been shipping fresh New England top split rolls for Lobster, shrimp or the old style hot dogs from CT, NY & NJ to Costa Mesa for decades since you can't get them on the west coast.I stumbled on one of the best Lobster rolls at Captain Kid's in Redondo Beach. The lobster was perfect but the top split roll was like none I had ever had in all of New England! If God were ordering a lobster roll he would order it on this roll (known as a Kobe roll) from Maisano's Italian Bakery in Garden Grove!Don't let the fact they sell primarily to businesses stop you from buying all your bread fresh from these guys made to order a day in advance! No preservatives, the best hot dog & hamburger buns I have ever had! You can even order slider, hamburger or hot dog buns in white, wheat, Kobe or squaw!I don't think I will buy bread anywhere else from now on. Makes every hot dog, hamburger or sandwich exceptional!"
"Fab spot for breakfast or brunch. It has a full bakery and coffee shop. I saw a bar there too so good for happy hour cocktails as wellWe came here for lunch, I warn you, the portions are HUGE! My co-workers were eating for a long time..lol. I only had a salad with chicken and it was tasty .I ordered a Cappuccino & it was perfect! Great service overall. Worth noting the cool high ceiling building design. Very bright and spacious. We'll be back in near future!"
"Best bar food in Lake Forest! The sliders.. wow! Best salads in Lake Forest, too!! Megan and Wanda are so fun! Great service!! Its our Saturday treat!"
"Says outdoor dinning but there is noneBut food was good and friendly service See you again"
"Having lived in NJ for nearly 8 years, I was concerned that moving back to Ca would have me missing the local delicatessens and ease of obtaining a solid sandwich. I'm so so grateful Olives is within walking distance from me. I have yet to find a sandwich in the Long Beach area I enjoy more than the Baja club at Olives, lol. Atmosphere: cute little store with groceries, prepared foods, and sandwiches made to order. I often use their app to order the sandwiches ahead of time. Food: I've tried numerous sandwiches here, and all are super solid. Fresh ingredients, lots of flavor, and large portions (I.e. you could save half the sandwich for later). I am a fan of their paninis, since they are warm and crispy, but my top notch sandwich is the Baja club, which has smoked turkey, pepper jack cheese, bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and green chili aioli in a baguette. The flavors all mend together perfectly on a fresh and soft baguette, and I love the crispness of the bacon with the smooth textures of the avocado. The aioli is an added nice touch as well. It's just such a damn near perfect sandwich. And it's large!!! It's about $13 but well worth it as you can split the sandwich into two meals or share a sandwich between two people (or just be greedy and live your life and eat the whole damn sandwich).I can also vouch for their chocolate cake slices. Decadent and delicious! I need to try their prepared foods next time. They have premade items like lasagna etc that you can take home and warm up as needed, and it looks pretty good. Services is extremely friendly and accommodating anytime I purchase something there. Only gripe is parking can be a pain as there is only street parking, but over all, nothing else to complain about."
"I never wrote a review for this store but I absolutely love coming here. They have all the delicious Japanese foods, desserts and treats here. They also sell hot foods and sushi. They even have a bar. They have everything you need. I actually came cause they have some Hello kitty stuff i wanted to get for my daughter and friend. Thank you for amazing customer service and having all the good stuff here. I am editing this cause I wrote my review fast yesterday. But the employees here are so sweet, the parking lot isn't too bad. They have so much variety of snacks, food, cute stuff, even macadamia nuts and chocolates from Hawaii. I really love this store i should come here more often. I highly recommend if you haven't been here yet. Have a beautiful day :) Aloha"
"Best German deli and market in OC. Good beer selection too. We have German friends who visit and approve of the quality and authenticity of their food. Great sandwiches, selection of cheese and sausages."
"Moe's Deli was a nice place to eat. I had the club sandwich and clam chowder. The bread head the highlight for me. So good and tasty. My dining mate had the pastrami sandwich and the potato salad. Which was a hit as well. Will definitely be back. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Across the street from UCI Medical"
"The cheesesteak was good. I would come back for it again. The bead was a little tough not much. I asked for well done fries. And they where not. It was partly my fault I did not take them back. I was lazy. I would go back there. I would just ask for the meat less done and fries well done. It's a pulse in my book. ."
"Deluxe with xtra dressing Can't go wrong. Best sandwiches in Pedro definitely recommend."
"We stopped off at this place during a drive back from Laguna.Delicious, fresh food from clearly a family run shop. The veggie sandwich and spicy chicken soup really hot the spot. When my husband had ordered spicy chicken soup and jalapeño chips, the person helping us recognized instantly that he loved spicy food, brought him 3 delicious freshly grilled jalapeños and a side of salsa.Definitely will stop here again in the future for a solid sandwich, good value, and great service!"
"So many delicious donuts! But even more choices for drinks! Yes the name says it all! There's actually over 50 flavors of ice blended smoothies here! WOW! And the donuts, also wow! My co-workers even mentioned that these are better quality and good sized compared to the other nearby bakeries. The prices here are about the same as anywhere else, but they do have a good deal when buying a 1/2 dozen donuts. Only $7.50, plus you get them in the pink box. Aside from donuts & drinks, they also offer bagels, croissants, huge cinnamon rolls, and ice cream here. This is definitely my go to donut shop for that classic, fluffy donut craving to then pair with a refreshing smoothie."
"I frequently come here because I work nearby. The owner Holly is awesome. After coming here a few times she will remember your name and what you like. I've been coming here for over a year now so I've had a chance to try a good portion of the menu and everything that I've gotten I've enjoyed. She has a daily special combo meal that keeps things interesting. Those who work nearby are definitely spoiled."
"I love cibo because it is authentic Italian food, and not Americanized. I feel like I am traveling back to Italy. Definitely a little overpriced, but worth it."
"Love their sandwiches, hot or cold, you can't go wrong. The service is friendly and in my experiences, has been fairly quick. Highly recommend"
"Top notch quality meats. I am very impressed with this place. I go to get my rib eyes from them."
"I stumbled across this place this past Monday and oh my goodness what a hidden gem. I've lived in Mission Viejo for over 33 years and these were the best sandwiches I've ever had. I had the ham and cheddar cheese on a roll and they make a relish with chopped jalapeños and pepperocinis that is so yummy. We also had the meatball sub and Italian. So good! Can't wait to go back."
"I ordered the New York Steamer. This sandwich has USDA Choice corned beef and pastrami, provolone, mayo, deli mustard and Italian dressing. I had the 12 inch sandwich with white bread. This sub eas one of the best subs I've ever had. They don't have Pepsi but I am not going to hold it against them because they do have a freestyle drink machine that has a wide selection including grape Hi C.Washroom I used was clean and had paper towels available... good on them.I do have one bone to pick. Personal appearance of one of the employees. I saw a guy who wore Levi's Blue Jeans working at this establishment wearing his shirt untucked. I consider that to be an unprofessional look. So I am deducting one point for the untucked shirt. If I was to assign a letter grade like is done in school this place would get a B+."
"Best sandwiches in Orange County! I get the turkey on sourdough with chipotle mayo. Nice deli staff and great chip options."
"I could go to Joe's every single day if I lived closer. This was my regular lunch haunt when I worked in the area! Great sandwiches and such incredibly reasonable prices--it was a no brainer. Joe and his associate Amanda are also so kind and personable (the kind of folks who care and remember your order)! They'll get you in and out and take phone orders as well if you're strapped for time. I still drive out of my way on my days off for a sandwich here. As a mom and pop joint, the simplicity of Joe's shop with indoor seating (as well as an outdoor table) makes it nostalgic and comforting. Unfortunately, there's not many places like Joe's anymore."
